Well, I don't like saying it, but Shaman King's a pretty underrated anime. I don't know the cause of its slightly low fandom, so I ask "what got you interested in Shaman King"? What was so interesting about it that got you to like it? Manga, anime, and so on. Specify if possible.
Personally, my sister told me about it. I read the manga, started watching the dub, and now it's my top anime. I just like the characters; they are just hilarious to watch. mrgreen

D : Wow, I remember the days when it was my top fav...now it's just a reg. fave. Hehe. Anyway, I actually didn't care for it at first...but once Horo came in I was like... "YAY! CUTE GUY!!" <.< >.> So I guess it was because of Horo that I started watching it...but I watched it in the dub first. : D I actually like the dub (minus some names and cheesey jokes). I was always on and off until about a year after I had watched it on and off...then I was like..."AH! All those eps I missed!!"
^^;; The day I started my driving lessons was the season finale, and I was so upset because I was missing it, and I tried to tape it but that didn't work...Y.Y;;

I like how it's the first anime I found that had a theme of spirits. 3nodding If I didn't know it's a Shonen Jump anime (same creators for YGO), I probably would've never watched it, though. sweatdrop

a friend of mine suggested shaman king manga. i got up to book 8 and started teh scanlations and anime. The anime upset me (it broke off from the storyline stressed ) but teh scanlations are cool. I'm up to #237-ish and 5 on funbari no uta mrgreen

Taurosgrl a friend of mine suggested shaman king manga. i got up to book 8 and started teh scanlations and anime. The anime upset me (it broke off from the storyline stressed ) but teh scanlations are cool. I'm up to #237-ish and 5 on funbari no uta mrgreen D : I want to read Funbari no Uta...but I have it in Portuguese or something...Y-Y

Well, Shaman King first aired here in the Philippines when I was 10. It got cut off at episode 25 but that was enough for me to get hooked. I forgot about it for a while but when I was in First Year Highschool at 12, I got hooked to anime. I remembered Shaman King and after learning more and more about it, it became my favorite.
And after watching the Original Japanese, I realized how awful the English dub was. Now, at 14, Shaman King continues to be my favorite anime and I think by now it's become more than an obsession~! Best thing that ever happened to me~!
