She could get to like this independence business. Even though technically she was still young enough to be with mother, Chamchela wandered off more and more these days, and Kiva did little to nothing to stop her. She was a goddess after all, even if something happened to her she'd just be reborn, Chamchela told herself. Of course, like any cub, Chamchela feared death, having been fortunate enough not to stare it in the face yet.

She was heading through the plains of the Pridelands today, within the territory of the pride, of course. The canyon up ahead was her aim, for she wanted to have some space to play with her creations this afternoon. It was the perfect place for her to let her powers loose-- well, as far as her new bracer would allow anyway. Stupid thing, but at least it kept mother and grandfather off her back when she wore it.

Disguise? Pfft. No. Why the heck would she bother with one of those? She hated being stifled by the fact that mortals weren't used to seeing gods and goddesses trouncing around. As far as Elly was concerned, really, if she wanted to walk with her wings spread wide they could just deal with it. It didn't really occur to her that there might be those wishing to harm her for her bloodline and powers.

Today was just another day of freedom in the book of Chamchela.

Another day away from Mwana, it was a good feeling, freedom from that Mistweaver Princess. To think, A Firekin Slave born of Firekin blood leading and protecting a Mistweaver. Who would have thought? But he had turned his pride away, he was not of the Firekin pride any longer when he had put his father to rest. The scar across his muzzle was proof of that. He had chased a zebra from a herd and it was able to get this far, up ahead he could see what looked to be a canyon or a valley, it was running out of ways to run now. Trigger lunged and simply swatted the prey's head and it fell, gasping. That was all it needed to die, now he had to wait.

Large and strong, he stood upon the edge looking down the valley, no water, just dirt. Barren....just like the Firekin deserts. His pale eyes went to turn away when his eyes fell upon something down at the bottom. What was it? He squinted to try to get a better look but nothing. It was small, that was for sure, but what would be travelling along a valley?

The male smirked and roared out, letting the loud sound vibrate among the walls to frighten the other down below. He smirked and waited for a response.

"This was gonna be...interesting."

Looking to the side, he could see the zebra gasping for his last breathes. It'll die....eventually.

Elly, oh Elly. For as brave as one claimed to be, certainly she startled with some ease, for her fur stood on end and her claws unsheathed, her entire form puffing up and jumping to whirl around facing the invisible threat.

Good lords! What was that horrible racket?! Who was screaming at her?!

Orchid eyes whipped left and right, but saw nothing and no one. Finally her gaze went up, left again, right-- ...

A lion, and a large male at that. He had a full mane like her "father's", and a black and crimson pelt like blood, none like any she'd ever seen before. It didn't matter that he was probably eight or nine times her size, Elly was irritated, and that was surely not a good state of mind for any god or goddess, no matter how small.

She growled, meager in comparisson to that impressive bellow, but it didn't stop her from doing it. With a short running start, Chamchela took to the air, heading upwards with aide from a few beatstrokes of her wings. Over Trigger's head and right atop his (not quite yet dead) kill, glaring in annoyance. The poor Zebra didn't seem to have enough strength left in it even to protest her using it for a perch, and Elly didn't pay it any mind.

"What in the name of the great circle are you screaming like an idiot for?" She snarled a little, again, a harmless sound, no less impressive even with a partial row of fangs revealed.

"Just wanted to have a little fun is all, Goddess. I found it strange to find a small creature roaming around alone in the valley. So what is such a diety doing way out here alone?"

He smirked and walked to the female Goddess, strange to see something like her. Her hair was styled into a row, a mohawk, large feathered wings that seperated her from mortals and the immortals. He had seen a few before but only for the brief second. They seemed interesting to him for whatever reason. He stood before soon starting to circle around her again and again. Nice body, wings, she seemed strong for her age well...as far as a mortal cub would. Upon her neck was an emblem.

"So, could I assume you're a Goddess of the Winds or something of the like? Twister? Tornado? Hurricane?"

Trigger spoke, poking the emblem quickly. Goddess or not, she was still a living thing, she just had more lives and abilities. He smirked. This was a nice change to Mwana, that is for sure. Rocky as their 'relationship' may be, they were still travelling together.

"Name's Moto'Vianzio...Trigger if you like. What happens to be yours?"

Her glaring didn't soften any.

But at least this mortal knew who he was talking to without her having to spell it out. It boosted her ego a little to hear that some of the wingless creatures-- especially those so like her in species, even if a "lower class" --knew of their existance. She couldn't imagine being cursed to live a life in complete shadows. She rather liked the mortal realm...

Her glaring did gain a frown as he poked at her chest, where her emblem rested, and she immediately swatted at his paw with her own, tensing. He was already out of reach again before she could touch him though, and she had the feeling he was just having fun getting in a few (both figurative and literal) pokes at her expense.

"Yes, I'm the goddess of Tornados, and my name is Chamchela... Trigger." She preferred shorter names.

Finally she relaxed again a bit, settling back fully on her haunches atop her still breathing seat, frown evening out into a neutral expression again though her brow remained furrowed as usual.

"I'm here to..." Practice? No, she hardly wanted to sound like she didn't already know what she was doing. That would never do! Her eyes searched a bit for the word in that small pause, then met Trigger's again as she immediately rushed to fill in the gap. "--train! That's right. I come out here all the time so I don't... hurt anyone with my amazing powers."

Trigger smirked as his paw was swipped away the first time, moving back a step or two and watched upon her form and features. She was a cub bound to become powerful and strong, a formidable foe even without her powers that is if she had anyones that were useful. She was gonna be a good ally if he ever needed one, luckily, he did not need anyone right now. He was just another rogue seeking a place where he could fit in and rest.

He looked around to see that the herd he had hunted had moved on without its fallen member. Too bad. Otherwise, the three of them (soon to be two) were the only beings left around here. He was curious, and it was getting the better of him. Goddess of Tornadoes, Chamchela.....interesting. Got to remember that name that was defiantly for sure.

"So Goddess, lets see some of these powers of yours. Surely someone like you could do some good damage enough to scar the earth. Over there, lets see if you can use your powers over there and bring it here. If my theory is right, the further it is the weaker. So let's see how weak it can get to how strong it can. Game, Cham?"

Elly growled in irritation, deciding that she didn't much care for this fellow's attitude, but seeing as he hadn't outright pissed her off yet, she'd leave it be. Let him call her Cham. It was still a step above Chamchela, and he was still a step below being allowed to call her Elly, a fair compromise.

Her small head swiveled instead, away from the blood and darkness hued male, towards the distance he proposed. She glowered. He was forcing her to admit that she wasn't quite as capable as she would like to say, but with her limiter on-- and her already age-limited power, she couldn't form one from far away yet. She still had to form them close by, at which point she could guide them in any direction she wished.

"I can't do that yet." She muttered with a cubbish snarl, grudgingly admitting her limitations. "I can only start them close by me and send them away."

Trigger cocked a brow. She could only start them nearby and then move them away. That would mean that this Goddess had not entirely developed her powers, guess his initial theory was wrong. He always thought that these great creatures were born with the natural mastery of their abilities. So these dieties also have to work their way to power. Like mortals....these God cubs are vulnerable as a cub would to an adult. Interesting. He looked out and then around.

"It seems you got a lot to learn, however, my knowledge of you Gods are rather limited so lets just make a decent compromise. You lack the power and I lack the knowledge, lets not bug the other about it," Moto'Vianzio, his true name, had a thing about intelligence, he always had no need for it. His strength was in his power and speed, intelligence was close after to judge him as for his creativity....lets just say this male can't make a heart in the dirt without one in front of him. "Alright, over there, see that tree? Start one anywhere you like and take it there."

"To be honest, I am interested in your powers. You say you can only start them close by. As by "them" I assume you mean these tornadoes. As far as I know, they are as destructive as the Firekin are cruel. Call it a mental milestone from who you are now until you are older. Alright, go on, to that from here to that tree."

He talked a lot...

Her younger sister, Anga, talked a lot too. She didn't mind it, but it was kind of funny seeing an adult babble. She grinned slowly at her little inward mirth, but made it a point to listen.

Once again her gaze shifted, this time the child rising to stand again on her perch, turning to face the tree. In the span of time they'd been talking, the Zebras breath seemed to become increasingly shallow, but Chamchela didn't notice.

She'd been practicing starting them without the use of her claws, finding that there was more than one way for her to summon them. Manifesting a twister seemed easiest, however, when she put physical effort into it, so that was how she started.

Now...

One spot on the ground, she concentrated on that spot, blowing a steady, soft stream of air it's way and focusing it into a spin. The usual tell-tale signs that it was working ensued. As bits of rock and dirt gathered the baby-tornado gained size and strength and speed. The zebra underneath her fidgited nervously, but couldn't do anything more. Chamchela released her creation once satisfied with it's size, then gave one final forceful blow, sending it gusting in the tree's direction.

The results were as devastating as Trigger had expected. The tree, by no means an impressive thing, began to pull in the direction of the wild winds before being engulfed, coming up completely from the ground as it's roots were ripped away. Chamchela smirked, delightedly amused and entertained by the sight of the plantlife spinning round in circles like it weighed absolutely nothing. Only when she stomped her paw into the dirt did the tornado then dissipate, sending the tree crashing back to the ground, some of it shattering into pieces on impact.

"Good enough?" She questioned, turning then to guage Trigger's reaction.

Trigger smirked and looked to her. Such a young being and yet had the power to do that to a single tree. By Juvenile she could take out a grove. By adolescence a herd or two. By adult...an entire pride and all of its territory. She was simply...amazing. Such a destructive force of [nature] contained into a wonderious being like her. Sort of made him want to become stronger. Hell, he'll get stronger anyways just for the hell of dominance. He smirked and clicked his claw together, a clap if you will.

"Very good, interesting. I got to say that was amazing. How strong was that, Goddess? One of your weakest or your strongest? Either way, it was amazing. Your powers would be something that others would seek to control, but with something like that just now, I am sure that you have nothing to worry about when it comes to defend yourself."

He looked back at the valley, no, lets not test her. He looked back at her and then to the zebra. His appetite was gone, his excitement had taken over. Perhaps....she would let him train her a bit, more of a practice.

"Well, I think something like that deserves a meal. Go ahead and take the catch under your paws. Maybe afterwards we could do some training with that power of yours. I am interested in seeing more of it."

The praise was a refreshing change from her mother's general uncertainty. It always was, but by now she had gotten used to it. Impressing mortals was no challenge anymore. Most of them had never seen one of their own controlling the elements like that before, so to her, it was more of a temporary thrill now.

It did, however, serve to relax her finally.

Since he mentioned an answer not being important she didn't divulge the fact that the tornado he'd just seen was in fact most likely her strongest. For now, anyway. She could feel already a change, both from Mrost's training and her own growth, and she couldn't wait to find out what other powers laid in wait for her.

"I actually have two teachers already." She informed, moving from the Zebra corpse, pleased with the invitation-- her mother got offerings such as this every new moon, and hadn't she only just been wondering if she'd ever have the same? Gifts thrown to her paws? Well, this might not've been the same as an offering, but it was surely more than she'd expected! "Mrost and my grandfather. They're the gods of War and Strength." She said, quite proud of her instructor and lineage. She'd most likely forever sing their praises.

However, for now, she was more interested in eating. She moved towards her favorite part and planted her paws before beginning to eat. Thankfully it was already dead by now, it's panic from earlier only hastening it's demise.

He sat himself down and let the low growl roll down inside of him, it was a constant warning to everyone that there was a chance that there would be an attack. The louder it was, the chance of him lashing out was good. He watched her eat and played a few thoughts through his head. God of War....God of Strength. War he could do without, it was just another reminder of how the Firekin Pride invaded the Mistweaver Pride those many moons ago. Strength however....was something else.

"So, Goddess, tell me more about this God of Strength. I would not mind running into the male if given the chance. As for War, you could keep training with him, I'll just give some company to Strength."

With a chuckle, he turned his emerald eyes over the valley again. What keep making him look over there? Was there something there that he didn't know about but felt drawn to it? What was it....He looked back to Chamchela. She was so young and put into such eyes as War and Strength. That would surely explain her powers and how they've become so strong. It was interesting....

"Tell me more...about you."

"Grandpa...?" She asked between mouthfuls, lifting her head to clean her muzzle a bit with a small pink tongue. What exactly was she supposed to tell Trigger about her grandfather? He was the god of strength, his name was Ukali, that was... about all she knew so far and that was obviously going to be more common knowledge he could find out on his own but-- if he wanted to know... "I think he goes by the name of Ukali or something, it sounds sort of like grandma's name. He's even bigger'n you are." She did smirk in amusement at that, relaxed, genuinely mirthful and not intending to be insulting for once.

More about HER too? O__o Well, now, she didn't think there was much to tell there, so she watched him as she took another bite, waiting to see if the information given was what he was looking for.
PostPosted: Sat Feb 03, 2007 11:48 am

"So...Ukali is the name I have to seek for. I guess I got some searching to do then. Either way...."

He looked off again and back to her. This encounter had to end soon, he had to get back to Mwana before she started to moan and groan all night. That was right, that female....was a pain in the tail. How did he get himself into this mess anyways? With a sigh he rose to his feet.

"Well, Goddess of Tornadoes, it seems that our encounter must come to an end....I got to get back to a female," he sighed and turned back in land. Somewhere, under one of those trees (or in it) was Mwana probably complaining that he was not there with her. She defiantly had something about being alone. With a shug and turned back to Chamchela. He smirked and nodded.

"It was nice meeting you, Chamchela. I hope that we meet again and that you could show a mortal like more some more of your powers."

With a hearty laugh he headed back to the tree that he left Mwana under. At the very least he was a bit happier than before...that is until he got back to that Mistweaver.
