Hello! I'm looking for some help deciding what to do with my drawings.. I mean I can't tell if I'm headed in the right direction or not.

My stuff, to me, is sloppy because I really don't take as much time on drawings as I should. I want to change that and improve. I am trying to study up on anatomy because I don't really understand the human form well enough yet and I'm also reading up on tons of other art related books, but I wanted to get some honest opinions and good information.

I don't really have a strict question to ask you folks, so I'll just let you do yer' magic. Tell me whatever is on your mind..

Dunno if it's your monitor or intentional or what, but those pics look really washed-out and faded. Punch up the saturation and play around with the levels and it'd make them stand out a lot more. sweatdrop

Otherwise, likin' them a lot. Your linework's very nice, though there's sooome anatomy issues in the top pic, I think. The guy's neck/shoulders look kind of twisted and awkward, and his left leg/hip area looks off - like the way his left thigh is lifted off the ground implies that his pelvis should be more twisted round than it is. I think. Sorry I'm not being very good at articulating it. sweatdrop

Other than that, looks good. domokun

I agree with Zahir, the picture looks really faded and light. It'd be nice to see some darker colours. :3

I really love the zombie picture but hey, I love zombies in general. It's really awesome though. biggrin

I don't really have any critiques, except for the lightness. 3nodding

Yeah, I have to break from the habit of dulling down my colors. I think I do it because I'm trying not to hide the linework or something. I tend to do things that make no sense at all. stressed Thanks for pointing out those anatomy type mistakes in the first pic too. I could look at it all day by myself and never figure it out.

If anyone else would like to say something, go on ahead!

I happen to like the coloring, but I've gotta say that your anatomy and proportion seems almost random in some spots - I get what you are trying to do there with Meryl's butt but it looks kind of like a sausage to me.

I don't really know what I'm doing when I draw the human body.. I basically just hope for the best and change stuff untill it seems right to me. I'ma try to be less "GUESS" in future drawing projects.

The characters are actually supposed to be a friend of mine and her boyfriend cosplaying as these two characters from "Metal Gear Solid", thats the game right? I never played it. xD I was just asked to do this and I was given reference for the clothing. The girl was supposed to be on the chubby side, but I somehow drew her sausage-like, yer' right. gonk
