The warmest of savannah breezes blew through the dry grasses of the pridelands that bent and gave under it's wake. Normally Kia would be running with this wind, reveling in the power of it's steady swiftness, but Kia had already made her journey for today and didn't feel the desire to run with the breeze. Actually, lately Kia would simply walk along sunny paths and watch sadly as the wild breeze passed her and left her behind.
Kia sat on a grassy hillside next to the object of her initial attraction to these aunny lands. Pride Rock towered before her, seeming to glow in it's own passionate glory, Kia's eyes drank in the beauty the satisfaction, but her wary heart still did beat nervously within her as the breeze russled against her clay-toned fur again and seemed to almost spiral around her sympathetically before it moved on like her heart longed to.
She had seen the one object of her attatchment to these lands and her heart tugged at every inch of the lionesses being as if it was screaming to her from desperation. However, Kia's feet would not, and could not budge. She was, perhaps for the first time in her life, truly fatigued. Her mind was on-edge and nervous about her growing weakness and her stomach swayed with a weight heavier than any confusion could ever bring.
Kia's brows furrowed stressfully as she stared on at the rock before her, what once fed her desire for adventure now mocked her. In her mind she couldn't help but hear that her adventure was closing here, in her gut she felt that it would not continue any longer. Surely, she knew she would live, but somehow she knew that what once was a playful and innocent quest was now turned into something different, something that she had never ever wanted.

While Kia felt a new weight pulling at her, Mtima'safi felt the relief of one weight taken off of her. Her whole family knew her secret now, and with the more limited time spent on hiding physical attributes she felt herself becoming somewhat more energetic and more pleasant. The beautiful day certainly helped her mood, and she strolled along the paths near Pride Rock.
"I wonder," she mused aloud, not continuing her sentence but instead letting her mind wander about her thoughts. Last time she'd been to Pride Rock, she'd found two abandoned cubs. She wondered how they were doing now. She recalled how she'd been there to seek out Kilango, and reminded herself that her daughter was strong and probably better off away from the lands and mother she so hated. Finally, she thought of Kia, the reminder of her past who'd been so eager to see Pride Rock. Had she seen it?
Ever smiling, the disguised goddess stepped off of a worn path and took a seat in some nearby grass to bask in the sun. It was a beautiful day. (( Kia is pregnant in this, eh? >D Does she know/suspect? Mtima'd be able to see them~ ))

Kia frowned, shaking her head as if she was trying to shake the marks of worry off of her face and out of her mind as she desperately tried to remind herself that gut feelings meant nothing so even if her gut was saying something was wrong it could be nothing couldn't it? After all, Kia had been wrong about things before.
Comforted slightly by this, she gave a nod towards the rocks as if she was recognizing them for their surperior image and moved her feet to slowly walk about the rocks, being sure to drink in every angle of them before leaving. Perhaps she would even stay for a while, far enough away that she wouldn't be a bother to any residents of course. It would only be long enough to get over this weak spell, perhaps a couple of hours... a day or too. That's all she would need, it must be a weak spell, small and insignificant. This is what she told herself.
Smiling as the worry slowly leaked out of her head and was replaced by her usual chipper demeanor, Kia's smiling eyes stumbled across a familiar friend lying in the grass a few yards away. Her smile faded quickly into a large grin and that was followed quickly by Kia's cheerful, ringing voice.
"Aunty! Is that you I see over there?" she quickened her pace as much as her feet would allow and beamed at her favorite, and only that she knew of, aunt.

Mtima closed her eyes and lifted her head to enjoy the warm rays of the sun, and heard a familiar, friendly cry of 'aunty'. At first, she was a bit confused but as soon as her eyes opened and she caught sight of a familiar face she remembered everything perfectly.
"Kia!" she called back cheerfully, getting up and taking a couple steps in the lioness' direction as if it would help, "You made it to Pride Rock, I see." The goddess beamed happily at Kia, but noticed something startling about the girl. She was particularly concentrated around the stomach- and the goddess knew what that meant. Her expression turned a bit surpirsed as Kia got nearer.

((xD no Kia doesn't know/suspect much of anything. I dont even think she knows/suspects that she's pregnant hehe))
Kia nodded proudly as her gaze flickered back to the towering stack of rocks nearby and admired the way that everything grew and thrived perfectly around it, almost as if it truly was the center of the pridelands. Everything seemed to pale in comparison to them and Kia truly was in awe, more so with each passing minute as conversation distracted her from things that her mind dwelled on previously.
"I sure did make it and let me tell you, it's much more amazing than I had ever pictured!" her expression simply bursted with excitement "I never thought it would actually be THIS big. It always looked much smaller from far away..." she paused for a moment before giggling at how silly she must have sounded in saying that
Kia noticed Mtima's sudden change in expression and her head cocked slightly to the side in curiosity but said nothing.

(( XD Would it be bad if Mtima mentioned it? ))
Mtima laughed at Kia's gaze at the rocks and her comment about it's size. She nodded her agreement, "Oh yes, it's rather amazing to see it up close. I'm glad you came to see it, it'd have been sad to hear you didn't get to or.. got distracted.."
The goddess trailed off again and her gazed flickered curiously over the lioness before she looked back to her green eyes, "Have you met anyone interesting around here?"

((xDDD not bad at all! probably be better than Kia just giving birth like "wtf?! O_O"))
Kia's lips pursed as she traced through her most recent memories "Around Pride Rock? No, none at all actually, not yet anyhow. I just got here a short while ago to tell you the honest truth." a slight smile curved across her lips as she spoke, completely naive to any hints or suggestions that her aunty dropped so her facial features remained sparkling as normal and her voice light and airy.
"Although..." she said, muddling through memories and stumbling over one in particular "I did meet somebody rather interesting along the way" Kia grinned, a girlish flush lit to her cheeks as she sat down, her gaze turning rapidly from Mtima to the rocks and back as if both commanded her attention equally

(( XD Lol ))
Mtima smiled watching Kia think back about anyone she might have met, and was a bit surprised to hear that Kia only just arrived. At least she'd gotten here at some point, it was better than not at all! How lucky it was that she could see her here. She beamed, especially as Kia's expression changed and her gaze shifted around.
"Oh?" she asked suggestively, unable to hide that she knew something about it- or she thought it was something relating to what she knew, "Interesting how?"

"Well...." Kia said in a long drawn-out way as her eyes traced the clouds "He was a rather friendly fellow, and fun, and charming, yes. Charming fellow." Kia nodded rather seriously as if she was critiquing an area or a speech rather than an actual character. Although there was that playful hint of a smile on her face that she often wore, but today was a little more apparant than usual as if her admiration tunneled a little deeper than her overview originally suggested
Kia felt a sort of giddy happiness that always consumed her when she saw an old friend. It was not often that she saw a face more than once, but she supposed that it was bound to happen since she was sticking around this place for so long. Time certainly had changed her view on the place. What were once gleaming grasses of gold now simply seemed dry, dull, and lifeless. Watering holes that once seemed gleaming gems amidst other treasures were now like murky mud puddles that only served as an excellent way of getting dirty rather than clean--if she was lucky that is since Kia particularly enjoyed being dirty.
Now though the only things that were truly still treasures were the faces of the people she met, her family, and those towering rocks, but even they were losing glory fast, especially with that sinking suspicion in her chest. How awful it would be to wind up here forever. She had seen every inch, explored every cranny, and now all that was interesting was a pile of rocks and smiling faces.
At least she would be able to feed off of the joy of smiling faces for now

Mtima had no suspicions about Kia's worry and desire to leave, and instead was more focused on figuring out what about these little souls now waiting for their chance at life within the lioness. She wrinkled her nose in amusement at the description of a particularly charming 'he'. It seemed she was right in guessing who she was talking about.
"A charming fellow," she repeated after her, "How often have you seen this new friend of yours?" It was a round about way of finding out about how close they were, by the sounds of it it was a recent thing, but perhaps it could be beyond just one encounter.

Kia's smile faded to the point that it was a slight frown as she looked to her feet "Well... Only met up with him once..." her nose wrinkled slightly "I don't even know if I'll get to see him again either, I rarely get to see people more than once you know" she nodded and deliberately tossed a glance to her feet as if she was trying to point out that she moves around a good deal.
"That's why it's particularly nice to see you again Aunty," her smile then returned as quickly as it faded "Imagine what poor fortune it would have been if I would have headed straight to here and then left and missed seeing my favorite aunty again" she smirked happily as she looked at Mtima with bright eyes. It really was nice to see her again.

"If you know where to look, you'll often find those you seek," she said, smiling though at the 'favorite aunty' comment. Her gold and blue eyes looked down to Kia's feet, recalling how the lioness mentioned she liked to run. Even the look seemed to say her feet often kept her from seeing others a second time.
"Ah, running," she commented carefully, "I suppose it's been getting a bit harder to run?" Mtima's question was a bit strange, she seemed to be interrogating Kia at the same time as suggesting maybe she'd found a reason not to. She thought perhaps Kia knew there was something funny going on, perhaps even knew that she was pregnant.. she wanted to hear it from her.

"yes... indeed." she said sadly, tracing the ground with an idle paw "It's been getting increasingly hard to run lately, in the past few days I could barely conjure up enough strength to run even 50 yards." The reminder of her state came fast and suddenly she seemed almost gloomy, which seemed odd even for Kia.
"Aunty, I think I might be getting very sick" she frowned, her bottom lip protruding in a small pout "I've never been able to not run anymore and I feel in my heart that some sort of awful box is coming to cage me in from going anywhere and I just can't stand it" her brows furrowed as she stared at the ground with a blank expression on her face.
"It's almost like this wonderful adventure that I've been on all my life has reached a wall... maybe not an end, but a big awful wall that I don't think I'll ever be able to climb over or knock down" her little pout turned into a deep one as she added with a huff "especially when my feet decided to stop working"

Mtima simply smiled at Kia as she explained what was wrong, nodding and going 'oh?' every once in awhile. Her smile lasted until Kia mentioned a cage, and something preventing her from going anywhere or climbing or others things to that effect. She shook her head and reminded herself that cubs did not have to be something to stop any of that! Right?
"Sick?" she repeated, getting to her feet and circling the lioness. It was only for effect, she knew what was the matter. The goddess got a better look as she went around her niece, counting the number of distinct souls.
"I'm not sure you're sick, exactly," she commented, coming to a halt in front of Kia once again.

"Reeally?!" Kia's eyes widened as she leaned towards her aunt as if in a sort of happy disbelief "I'm not sick?! oh joy!" and she truly experienced joy judging from the quick change of her pout to a grin, even her voice seemed to spiral upwards in a way.
She probably wouldn't believe that she wasn't sick under normal circumstances, for the sick sort of squirming in her stomach continued as they spoke, but Kia found it hard to not believe a relative--or even a friend for that matter and Mtima was both. If Aunty said that she was not sick then surely she must be okay.
"Oh goody!" she spit out with a chirp "So that means that I'll be up and at them in no time then right? I can stretch my legs and get out of this place---not that it's not wonderful aunty" she added the last words quickly to be careful not to offend Mtima in case she was particularly attatched to the pridelands unlike Kia, but like a child, Kia still was unable to mask her excitement about the prospect that she wasn't ill and perhaps would be able to continue her adventuring days soon.
She nibbled on her bottom lip, staring at Mtima with bright eyes in anticipation of a positive statement regarding her health and recovery from whatever condition this was.
