((Title possible to change, couldn't resist though. Your sig urged me to do eeeet XD)) Slightly unnerved by the encounter with a snake, Badiri'umdansi stalked quietly through the grasses around her. Normally she was light-hearted, playful and troublesome, much like her name-sake. And she still was. Just a little more careful about where she step-danced, is all. Last time, she'd nearly stepped on a rather nasty snake, whom by the looks of it, wasn't entirely enthused with the idea either. She hadn't been sure if he'd been poisonous, but made sure to dance her way right out of reach. She thought it might've been a black mamba, something to definately not tangle with, and she was quite lucky to have escaped and not pissed it off enough to chase after her, but still, she wasn't sure that's what it had been. Theory or no theory, she wasn't going to go back and ask what he was, that's for sure.
So, pardoning the pun, Badiri was quite rattled to the say the least, but slowly gaining her good nature and care-free attitude back. Sure enough, her steps were becoming lighter and less careful as the snake became a distant memory. So ahead she hopped, much like a pup in her antics, though she was very much an adult. Ahh, to be naive as a kid, such bliss.

Zuri yawned. He turned his alarmingly bright magenta eyes to the sky idly, picking his head up off his forepaws and gazing around. It had been a while since he'd last seen another wild dog. Certainly the last time was when he'd kindly escorted Binti back to her pack. He sniffed the wind, his tail beginning to thump the ground lightly. Company!
Stretching doggishly and shaking the dust from his coat, the brightly colored canine stood up and sniffed again, looking out across the land in an attempt to catch sight of the other dog.
Finally he spotted it; a dark shape a little ways off, moving strangely. Almost as if it was...dancing? Zuri sneezed and padded towards it, curious.

An icy gaze, though warm overall, caught sight of him as he did her. Perhaps it was the sneeze that had tipped her off on another being around. Although such a sound could, from time to time be confused with a snake hissing, which she would much rather avoid at this point. So her having noticed him had indeed been accompanied with a bit of a jump, having hopped up about 2 feet off the ground and nearly out of her skin at the same time.
Wagging her own tail slightly, Badiri began her own advancement towards the other dog, quickly identifying that it was not Indy, and thus not immediately someone to be tortured upon sight. In fact... well, if she didn't think her eyes were decieving her, she might be willing to believe that he held a similar coat color, though not as dark as she herself did. The idea perked her up a bit. Purple was, of course, the best color of them all, don't you know.

Zuri's ears perked as the two dogs neared one another, and he pulled back his lips in a dog smile, tongue lolling out the side of his mouth. He slowed his trot and finally stopped altogether, giving his tail a few more wags and leaning in to sniff the other dog's muzzle lightly.
"Well, hello there." He said smoothly, pulling back with a grin. Apparently her scent was satisfactory. "Didn't scare you, did I?"

"Gave me a bit of a startle, but nothing I couldn't handle. Fortunately for both of us, you are you, whoever you might be, and not the snake I happened to wander upon earlier." Badiri returned the sniff and smiled as well.
"I'm known as Badiri'umdansi. Any shorter version someone prefers works just fine, as long as you don't call me late to dinner. Even if I am." Chuckling, she waved a paw to brush the introduction off. Her own, that is. She wasn't very good with them, and just boldly shoved her name out to get it out of the way. Conversation was much more interesting than long drawn out introductions!
