Well, since it's pretty major whenever Funimation decides to disclose ANYTHING about this anime, I thought it could use a thread. Especially since we've been waiting on this information since... Ohhh... December-ish 2005? Yeah. Really. Anywho. Point is, Funimation's Tsubasa Chronicle Site; 1/25 In case you missed the leak of our online anime announcements, today FUNimation Entertainment announced the acquisition of two properties: Shuffle and My Santa. One thing the leak didn’t know is that we have more information that we are going to release today. Many fans know that FUNimation has acquired Tsubasa, but no street dates have been announced. Well today is the day. Tsubasa v.1 DVD has been scheduled for release on May 22, 2007. http://www.tsubasaonline.com/Now, now, Funi! Was that so hard? Syaoran: Jason Liebrecht Sakura: Monica Rial Kurogane: Chris Sabat Fay D. Flowright: Vic Mignogna Mokona: Carrie Savage Yuuko Ichihara: Colleen Clickenbeard Discuss? Squee? Flame?

It depends on what they DO to it. If they mostly leave it alone, have good dub actors, or the option of Jap. audio w/subs, I'm good.

I'm so excited! xd
FUNimation did a really god job with Full Metal Alchemist, Fruits Basket, and tons of stuff, so I'm hoping they'll do the same for our dear Tsubasa.
And they've only announced two possible cast members... or at least it's on the site. Mike McFarland and Colleen Clinkenbeard, better known as Havoc and Hawkeye if you're also an FMA fan. Whee~!

About freakin time.
I'll probably buy the DVDs, since overall, I did enjoy most of the first season. (The second season is a different story.) As long as they give the option of the Japanese dialogue and English subtitles (both with and without), I'm good. I don't care about the English cast, because in general, I don't watch dubs. Though I might sample a bit of the dubbed version just to be amused (or possibly horrified).

My memory is really foggy on who Havoc is...was he the short guy with black hair that wanted the Col. to adopt the puppy? And who are the two of them playing? Because if Hawkeye's playing Sakura, I can't see that...

Havoc is the one that's always smoking ... sort of spikey blond hair?
And it doesn't say who they're playing yet. biggrin

Ah ok; so he's Havoc...and the big guy with reddish/orange hair & sideburns is Fury then?
Too bad we don't know who they're playing; but yeah. That's pretty much our only hope that the voices aren't too messed up.
Goldmagns: What's wrong with TRC being popular? Or am I misunderstanding your post? *confused*

Nah, Fuery is the one with the glasses and Black Hayate (The Puppy). I'm honestly not sure what Mr. Red's name is. He wasn't in it too much other than being in the background, so yeah. ^^
And I know what you mean, Goldmagnus. But ... maybe not. We'll have to see.

I hope they wont &*%^ the voices up. I tend to watch dubs because I read too fast for the subtitles...

Eeeee~!! heart I can't wait! I just really hope that actually talented voice actors are picked! Considering with alot of dubs lately, the voices don't match up with the character at all... :/

Pre-ordered my copy of volume 1 of the set. heart
I'm not worried about the voices too much, really. I'll probably just watching the subbed version anyway. Excluding the enitiatory first taste of the dub, of course, just so I'll know the difference. xD;; -mokona

I'm going to be able to drive by then so I'm going to the mall right after school to pick up my volume.
I'll only be watching the original Japanese with subtitles since I adore all the seiyuu and can never imagine any other voices (Well, except for Syaoran and Sakura because they do have different seiyuu in CCS, heh). I'll still be upset if the voices don't match up well with the character personalities. That's my biggest pet peeve about dubs. The fact that often the English voice seems ridiculous for the character. Usually Funimation does pretty good casting though, so I hope they will this time too.
