Yeah, okay, I read in the Random Facts thread where someone was thinking about wanting therapy, and vax recommended me. What a surprise...

Anyway, I'm currently taking philosophy and psychology in college, and I'm pretty good at figuring people out, as vax said, so post here if you got problems you want help with!

Don't get one now. You'll get hosed. Wait a year or two until they produce a lot of them and buy one used. If you get one now, you'll probably spend more today than you would down the road. You have to think of it in terms of what you spend per year.

In this case, you can have your cake and eat it too, as long as you're willing to wait.

You're 12 or 13, right?

I'm guessing that people don't take you as seriously as you would like them to, and that they are not recognizing how smart you are becoming. They treat you as if your mind is frozen in time from five years ago.

Have I got it right so far?

I thought so!

And you didn't even tell me anything about yourself.

What you have to do is remain calm and act as normally as you can. Frustrated outbursts will only serve to convince your parents that you are angry at something other than themselves. They most likely will not consider that they are doing something wrong, so you have to try and control your emotions around them.

The easiest way to convince people that you're smart (should you wish to do so) is the make the most rational choice you have available. The decisions you make reflect upon your intelligence, and if you make poor ones, people are going to think you're not that smart, even though they opposite may be true.

You may find a professional who disagrees, but I believe a lack of attention is caused by a lack of interest. You just don't find the things around you that interesting, yes? You want things to be more exciting, more involving, what have you, and so you cast your mind around looking for it, and when you don't find anything, you start going in circles (mentally).

I don't know if it will work for you or not, but the best way I find to cure this sort of thing is a good book. You might find something different, but I can almost guarantee you that you don't need a bottle of pills to solve it.

..::I can't
stand the victim in you::..

Chya!!

Remember that story I told you about that guy I liked?

Well his older brother [who is in college] started talking to me recently and I think I have a thing for him but I feel so dorky about it because I really like him but I feel like a little kid!
We have SO much in common.
This just happened literally 5 seconds ago:

Eric Paauwe "it's always some s**t with you isn't it eric.." - my dad says:
i need to rock something i cant believe how long ive gone with silence

[[In the ::*still of the night*:: I hear the wolf howl honey, sniffin' around your door]] says:
hmm...maybee....

[[In the ::*still of the night*:: I hear the wolf howl honey, sniffin' around your door]] says:
Sister Christian?

Eric Paauwe "it's always some s**t with you isn't it eric.." - my dad says:
omg i just scrolled down and considered that!!!!

Eric Paauwe "it's always some s**t with you isn't it eric.." - my dad says:
SCARY!!!!!!

And he told me that the first time he saw me he had no idea I liked him and thought me and Evin were strictly friends, and he was wondering why Evin wasn't trying to get with me. He said we have so much in common with eachother and the same sense of humor and stuff, and that I had the best taste in music out of any girl he knew.
Then he told me that one time he wished I had an older twin sister.

Well I'm going to go to this thing with him on Saturday probably, because it's the only time he'll be in town for a while, and if I get a ride there he's going to give me one back to my house.

I'M TOTALLY SPAZZING OUT!

1] That was the very first time a guy [irl] that I thought was attractive and wasn't a good enough friend of mine to lie to me about things like that to make me feel better who said I was pretty. So yeah.

2] I had a big crush on him when I was younger.

3] He's one of my best friend's older brothers!

4] He dated the girl that Evin is crazy about now and she screwed with him the same way she's screwing with Evin now.

Could you like....evaluate this??

lol, you're posting too fast.

In any case, don't take school right now as make-or-break for you. It's really not. Just make sure you aren't staying up late at nights and having to wake up early in the morning.

Even if I get plenty of sleep, under the right conditions, I find myself tired and ready to grab a nap. There's nothing wrong with that necessarily. blaugh

Well, I really should start charging you guys, but since you're my e-g/f, I'll do this one for free.

What you're feeling right now is an attraction. Whether it is based on something good or not, it's a crush on a guy. You shouldn't say, "this is the first time that _______, so that means it's special." That may not necessarily be the case.

I think you could have pretty much any guy you wanted, but you seem attracted to guys who...for lack of a better word, are inept at relationships. This other girl who keeps screwing (with) everybody, the guys don't seem to know what to do with her, do they? But this is the second time you've find yourself falling for someone who is on the short end of the stick with her. It may be that you're using her as an indicator of what kind of guy you like, and, (though I could be wrong about that) it isn't the way you want to go.

Separate yourself from what you feel and ask yourself what you know. Let your mind, not your heart, tell you which way you should go, and then see if your heart has the right idea or not. More often than not, your mind will give you something else to consider.

However, should you discover that you really like him, the best way to get him is to go straight for it. Guys always have it easier when the girl is the one on the offensive. So, don't hold back, if you really want him.
