The bus suddenly lurched forward, sending some unaware passengers crashing into the seats in front of them. Few of them moaned and muttered their dissatisfaction, but a laugh could be heard above the grumbles. "Let's do it again!"
Anya bounced in her seat, waiting for the vroom-vroom to take another turn or make a sudden stop. She'd never been on one before, and she was planning to make the best of it. She climbed off the seat.
"Hey Mamma-bat, there's sticky sticky's under here!"

Kemuri saw the bus brake-and-go in a very violent manner. 'ugh. why do bus drivers always do this?' he thought as the bus approached the stop he was at. he was in a hurry so he had to get on this bus or wait another 15-20 minutes before the next bus. He got on the bus, seeing the moaning people, the little hyper girl and her Mom or guardian. He took quick interest in this little girl and her guardian. He paid the fare for the bus ride as he approached and sat in the free seat beside them.

"Nnnnn!" The child whined as they neared the hulking thing they had been waiting on. Ten minutes in the cold with a thick wooly coat that had a good with, ironically enough, a lamb's face to it and bright green mittens over his wings, Nikolai was not happy. The thing was huge! And his mother was pulling him towards it's mouth! Though he had hold of her hand, the toddler sized Herald tried to avoid entering by digging his heels in the ground.
"What on earth's the matter?" Jade asked with a confused expression, and decided he must be cranky from having not been able to get his nap. "It's all right Nikki, we'll sleep on the bus. When you wake up, you'll be where we were going." Picking up the small whining child, Jade stepped fearlessly onto the bus and started heading towards the back. "Do you need Leo?" She asked, reaching into her small backpack to pull out a stuffed lion.
The whining stopped when Jade picked him up, and he closed his eyes as he took hold of Leo. The stuffed animal was a hand-me-down from Jade's youth, unlike his silly outfit. He was perfectly warm, and blissfully unaware of the 'awwww' factor he inflicted upon those around him.

"Anya get out from under there" Lizz whined, as she pulled her daughter from under the seat.
"Those 'sticky-stickies' have been in other's peoples mouths. Do you reeeeaally want to eat them?"
"Oh.."
She sat quietly next to her Mamma-bat for a moment. Secretly, she was still curious about them, but she'd rather not have her Mamma wrestle her off the bus. Instead, she investigated the people on the bus with her.
In front of her was a grumpy old man, who'd turn around and stared at the two of them every time she'd laugh. Well, she thought he smelled funny. The bus driver himself, reminded her of a balloon. It was then she noticed the winged man in the seat next to her.
His wings caught her attention first. As she stared at them, she thought of her own little stubs, and wondered if they'd grow similar to his.
Lizz on the other hand, was paying attention to the scenery outside. Snow seemed to be shook out of the skies by someone above. It was as if everything was sugar coated. She heard the bus roll to a stop. Glancing up, she noticed Jade and Nikolai climbing aboard.
"Hey Jade! Over here!"

He noticed the little girl staring at his wings. he gave her a small smile and wink as her owner yelled out 'Jade'. He never did notice the old man sitting in front. He never really minded people if they stare. he got used to it. so the old man was nothing and invisable in Kemuri's eyes.
Kemuri recognized Jade from the trip to the stores with Shay. She noticed a small boy in her arms with blue wings and stars on them. He quickly covered his face so he would not be noticed. He totally forgot that his wings were showing. He tucked them in carefully, not to drop any feathers and litter on the bus the bus driver was driving....

"Oh! Lizz, Kemuri, it's nice to see you both." She gave a smile to the woman, though she was growing nervous of the insane child the woman looked after. "Is there a seat availible?" heading over, she took a seat behind Kemuri by the window.
Opening his eyes when he was sitting in a seat next to his mother, blinking in surprise. This wasn't a monster's stomach... He still held onto the stuffed animal, and looked to the others around him. Big wings in front of him! Really big wings.... Being a child, he leaned out of his seat to grab a handful of the glossy black feathers. He didn't realize they were connected to the person, but they looked so shiney...

"Ohh, don't hide them away." Anya said as he began to tuck them away. She eyed Jade and Nikolai as they walked across her line of sight. They were in the coffee shop, she remembered, but now they were more of a disconnected totem pole.
"See, even Nikolai likes them." She smiled at the winged man, sparks of interesting lighting her blue eyes.
Lizz smiled at the two as she turned to face herself toward them. She pulled off her hat, and brushed her messy hair out of her eyes so she'd get a better view of them.
"How's life been treating you since last time?"
Then she noticed Anya's interest in the man in the seat over.
"Anya, don't bother him." she scolded. Today she was really going at it. Maybe it was time to cut back Anya's sweets.

Kemuri loosened his wings as the little girl's sweet innocent tone spoke and removed his hand from his face as he smiled at the two little kids.
"Hey Jade." he said to her, returning the greeting.
"oh, it's alright..." he said as his voice drifted off. 'screw. now i sound like some middle aged house wife who is forceing herself to not mind if her house is torn to bits.' he thought to himself. He picked up a dropped feather that was on the seat he sat at and handed the glossy feather to the young blue winged boy.

kemuri giving him the pretty feathers lit up the little boy's face, and his wings quivered in excitement within their green mittens. Taking the feather, he grasped the ears of the lamb hood and pulled it down on his head to smile shyly at the new friend. He had such pretty feathers!
Smiling fondly at Nikolai, Jade stroked his head lightly before looking to Kemuri. "How was your Christmas Kemuri?" She asked cheerfully before looking to Lizz. "Just fine. I tried to make a stuffed animal for Nikolai for Christmas and it turned into this cute little jumper." She was so happy that the little boy would actually wear it- she thought he would hate the fuzziness and abnormally high levels of cute that it eminated. "How's Anya and yourself been?"

"Okay, as long as it is." Lizz replied to the man (did Jade say his name was Kemuri?) " She can be a little.. overbearing sometimes so I wanted to make sure."
Lizz then brought her attention over to the two. "Ohh? That is cute." she laughed, " I can't sew to save my life. Buuuut I do cook sometimes. You two should come over and try my cream puffs." Lizz grinned, a bit of her confidence peaking through her smile. She could in fact cook many desserts. But when it came time for her to make dinner, there was usually some sort of disaster lurking behind a corner. However she felt no need to include that bit of infomation.
Anya ignored her mother's comment and instead paid close attention to Kemuri.
"Can you go up-up-up?" she asked, awing over him. Her wing stubs wiggled and flapped as if she was imagining she was flying along with him.
"I tried, once. But I went CRASH. The cape didn't help either. So Mamma-Bat and I are off to find some magic flying dust for it. Show him, Mamma."

Kemuri smiled at the little boy with the lamb sweater as the boy took the feather. He didn't realize that Jade had asked him a question because of his interest in the two little messenger reborns.
Kemuri shook his head.
"i can't fly very well either. it's quite hard for me to take off and i've never learned much about flying in my childhood." he spoke as his voice trailed off. "I bet that you'll be able to soar with the clouds when you're older and you'll be so happy that you can fly." he added. he smiled as he reached over to pet the little wings of the girl.
But he stopped, he realized that he hadn't heard their names.
"I don't seem i have gotten your names, What are your names, little ones?" he said, addressing both the male and female winged kids.

As usual, Nikolai was silent. Looking to Kemuri with an expression of confusion. Flying? He remembered flying... and the fall. All of a sudden, his eyes lit up and he hid his face in Jade's side. Clinging tight to her jacket and the dark feather in his little fist. He was actually shaking at recalling the fall, but the fragments of memory that seemed so hazed and far away didn't help the feeling it left behind in his mind.
"Nikki, what's the matter?" Jade asked in confusion, blinking in surprise at her son and took him onto her lap to hold tight. "Kemuri, I told you his name was Nikolai when we first met, remember?" Turning to look at Lizz, she gave a sheepish smile at the embaressing sight she assumed Nikolai caused. "Ahhh, unfortunately I can' t have too many sweets. It's not good for me. But if you'd like, I can make something for Anya if you've any spare material?"

Lizz smiled at Anya, and motioned a "Shhh" at the mention of their "Flying Dust" mission. She wasn't embarrassed of it, but would rather have it to share the quest just between them. She then returned her attention back to Jade.
"I think I might have something back at the house, actually. But I would definitely want to return the favor." She wasn't sure how, but given the time she was sure she'd be able to come up with something creative.
"I'm Anya-baby. Except the baby part isn't really included... And when I can fly up-up-up," she stood up for the extra effect, "I will take you and Nikolai for a ride." she smiled genuinely, but was it was cut short as soon as she noticed that Nikolai seemed to be frightened. Figuring it was something she had said, she replied,
"I'm sorry, Nikolai. I won't take you too far up, I promise!"

"So this is the famous Nikolai. He's so adorible." Kemuri said as he reached out his hand to Nikolai. He smiled at the shyness of the young herald. He wondered if all herald kiddies were shy and amusing as the pair on this public transportation.
"Anya is it. Nice to meet you Sweetheart. i'm Kemuri. you plan to take Nikolai up to the sky? that's nice of you to offer him such a chance." Kemuri said with a smile. He watched the shy boy snuggle with Jade. He thought that was so cute.
Traffic Jam... 'at least i get a bit mroe time with these little Heralds' he thought to himself.
