I'm going to spend the last bit of February and the first bit of March with my bashert's family and we'll be going to Disneyland. Yep, I'll be spending Purim at Beit Achbar (that would be the House of Mouse)! For anyone who's been in that area or who lives there:

1. Where can a person get a kosher meal at Disneyland?

2. Are there Orthodox synagogues within walking distance of Disneyland, where a person could go for Shabbat minchah/ma'ariv/havdalah and then hear the megillah read for the evening of Purim? We're leaving the very next day, Sunday, right on Purim -- it was the ONLY time we could get the plane tickets at a reasonable price. sad But I want to hear the megillah the night before.

3. Does anyone know of a kosher mikvah near Disneyland?

They're not bad if you're not used to eating real food. Maybe I'll just go shopping once we get there, and keep real food in the mini-fridge in our hotel room. Airline style food is icky.

xp I recommend bringing your own food of some kind in a suitcase if you can't find anything. When my family went to France, we brought a backpack full of snacks and food. 3nodding

(No vegetables or fruit! Customs gets mad at you for that, and they don't stay well anyway! xp )

I won't be going through customs. Anyway, I'll just bring some canned and other packaged foods in my lunch box for the plane ride, and then buy other food once we get there. I've decided to bring some La Briute meals with me. I wouldn't make them on the plane because the chemical heating element smells kind of bad, but they'll be useful to carry around when it comes time to go walking around everywhere.

Zonko's right, the airline-style meals aren't horrible. Have fun in Disneyland I hope everything goes well, OH! And have a SAFE TRIP!

I respectfully disagree with anyone who claims that airline food or airline-style food isn't bad. It's laden with excess fat and sodium, and it simply isn't good quality, especially when compared with what I'm used to eating. Mind you, I spent most of my life very low-income, so I'm not saying that I'm so rich that I can afford the best food in the world. Far from it. I simply know how to take very inexpensive food and turn it into something highly flavorful and delicious, as well as healthy. I've never yet met an airline that could do that. Maybe my standards are too high, but I figure that if I can manage to make delicious food while living on food stamps, as I did for a couple of years, they can surely do better than they do, given what we pay for the price of an in-flight meal.

On airline food:

Because Delta has become so poor, the hardly even give me any food on my tri monthly pilgramage to visit family in the holy city for Jews, New York.

yeah that was low, but the snacks are usually like sun chips so i don't mind. I'd advise packing some bissli or something to munch on, because I have yet to travel on an airline that serves shnitzel. n=man wouldn't that be awesome....

If they're El Al's Kosher meals.. Man, you can't give me enough. I want their plane rides to never end when I get the food on them.

I've never ridden El Al, though G*D willing may it happen in the next couple of years. We'll be flying American Airlines.

But, yes, I intend to bring a lunch box filled with fresh fruits and vegetables. Unfortunately, the airline doesn't have the kosher dairy option or the kosher vegan option, or even kosher parve. If you order kosher, they slap some dead animal slices on a bun. Not my idea of appetizing.
