To all who said that they haven't been to a convention: They're a lot of fun and I'd reccomend going to one, assuming you have tolerence for some idiocy and lots of...interesting...smells.
I routinely go to two conventions: Fanime and JTAF (Japan Town Anime Faire), a smaller anime convention going into its third year which has been heald yearly in San Francisco's Japan Town.

I havent been to one, I really would like to attend one. I wanna go and cosplay, however, i really dont look like anyone...or I cant pull off the look...
With my hair, closest is spike from CowBe, but hes tall and slender, i short and chubby ^^

I chose "one a year" but it really depends. Sometimes I'm even at 3 or 4 a year (when I'm org).

Well, I'm always at No Brand Con, but I work there. Besides that, I usually attend one other con in any given year.

This year I'm attending my third year at Connecticon (Hartford, Connecticut. Its their third year, and they're the first event in the new convention center). I'll probably also be attending several small local cons.
In the past, I've attended Otacon, Gencon (RPG and wargaming), Origins (also RPG and wargaming), and a bunch of others... I aim to hit Anime Boston one of these years, but that keeps falling through.
But if any of you live near Connecticut, Connecticon is July 15-17th, and there'll be a Gaia get-together there.
