A young juve was wandering about, her head held high. She was beautiful and she knew it. She was born of two royal bloodlines so automatically more important then nearly all the lions in the pride.
She moved elegantly for a youngster, taking her time with each step. She wanted to show that she was important without having to say anything and she wanted the guys to drop at her feet begging her to be their mate.
She could dream, she was young and very immature, though saying that would be something alot worse then a mere insult. She believed herself to be the most important and the ones around her to be not half as important as she.
So as she weaved in and out of the grass she was able to smile and be happy as she knew she was the most important of them all.

-Not far away, her relative, unbeknown to the two sang a similar sort of tune. He could care less about girls.. about the thought of shacking up with one of them, or them fawning over his looks. Perhaps it was youth? Perhaps it was a kind gift from the gods, for surely any girl that did show him favor would be sorely surprised with the reaction they recieved.
He was better though too. Son of Mufasa greatest child, and son of the god Tanaka, the biggest and strongest lion there was. His father was greatness incarnite.. Him and his twin, just below that. And everything and everyone else, were nothing. Strength was all that mattered.
Not words.. not minds. The one with the greatest mass won. The sharpest claws. Today however for once Ahai wasn't causing trouble. Wasn't tearing down some poor sapling, or tormenting some tiny prey animal. Today he was simply running, letting his growing feature strech as he tested just how far he could go in one stride.
Around him the grasses shook loudly, but his attention was within him, his mind trying to convince his body to grow faster.-

Cousins to be so similar for very different reasons could have been found amusing without a doubt. Latifu had little care though even with the lion making more noise then a herd of elephants wouldn't annoy her today.
"Stupid blue thing." She moaned as she saw him run past. "Pfft, pathetic males." She yawned and stretched before leaping up onto a rock to wash her paws. She needed to keep clean and looking perfect for all those pathetic males who would beg for her.

-Emerald eyes catching the creme form as he trekked back, he almost kept going. But the subtlest of sounds had touched his ears, and he'd caught probably the worst word that he could have. Stupid? What?
Sliding to a halt, the azure male snapped around taking in the little female with soft contempt. Had he really heard that? What the hell was HER problem if he had? Huffing a little, he turned and begin to make his way back to her, little paws carrying him along in a soft trot. Offering finally with a sneer, as he neared.- "What're you doing?"

Her blue eyes stared at him as she smirked. "Minding my own business like you should be." Her voice was rough and harsh but she found it amusing, then she always found talking down at others amusing.
She turned away from him, hopefully he was disappear and with it that ugly blue coat of his. How disgusting. Why was he living in these lands anyway? Ugh. If only her mother had been the heir, then one day she could have had the throne. She would have fought her siblings to the death for it. Clear out this stupid pride.

"As if YOU could tell ME what to do" -He excentuated the important words, eyes rolling mildly.- "I do whatever I want."
-Slowly padding closer still, he made no sign to leave, his attention now draped on the young girl. He was bigger then her. Stronger too most definately. So she was in no place to tell him anything.
Digging through his mind for some sort of retort, he finally settled on one, musing lightly, a wide smug grin on his maw.- "I know what you were really doing anyway."
"Trying to scrub the ugliness off you. Unfortunately it won't work."

She turned to look at him and laughed.
"My dear, if you want to have a come back at least think one that makes at least a tiny bit of sense." She rolled her eyes and looked away from him.
"If anyone needs to be less ugly around here I believe that would be you. Ever met Sarabi? You will find my coat is nearly the same colour as hers because I am pure royalty from both sides and we are also proper colours. Where that revolting blue came from you I don't know." She yawned and started to wash her paws which she noticed had a little dirt on them.

-He grimaced a little at her retort, noting the truth behind it. So he wasn't great at the verbal assault. But he had indeed found something sore on her. And he listened to her driveling speech with disinterest, not even seeming to relate or care to the fact that the two were apparently related.
Instead he simply sneered.- "I happen to live in the same den as my grandmother Sarabi and grandfather Mufasa. Just because she's a queen doesn't make her color attractive. It's not your fault you inherited such an ugly pelt."
-Puffing up to strut a few steps, he grinned, daring her to come up with an excuse good enough to sway his mind.- "I'm the son of a god AND the strongest of the princesses, so I get to live up on the rocks. I don't know who you think you're foolin' claiming to be all high and mighty when you live in the dirty like all the peasants. And not in the royal den."

She laughed.
"Making up stories are we now? How low and pathetic can you possibly be." As if she would fall for a stupid lie like that. It took someone very low to believe that they were related to a God.
"You know nothing of royalty do you. To have any chance of being looked upto you have to mix with filth like you." She was getting bored. She may have been young but her mind had grown quickly into something she would always love and adore.

-And she'd found one of his weak spots. Had she called him weak himself, she'd probably already be bleeding right now. But the insult on his family was enough to drag an angry growl to him, small body crouching intimidatingly downward as he hissed through his teeth.- "It is NOT a lie! Tanaka is the greatest lion and the greatest god there ever was."
-Okay.. so he'd never actually seen his dad do any of his godly stuff. But that didn't make him not a god. He readied himself to pounce upon her, back end raising high in the air.- "I've seen the inner workings of the prideland royalty since I was born. You're the idiot if you think Mufasa would desicrate himself enough to sleep with the peasants."

She chuckled.
"If he is so great then why haven't I head about him? Especially if he is suppose to be my uncle." She laughed ignoring his stance.
"Ever learnt to control that temper of yours, it could get you in as much trouble as that tongue." She smirked and just laughed at the comment about Mufasa.
"Oh I am sure that if someone was injured and in need of special care that the king would happily sleep with the pesants, unlike you he does seem to care about everyone here." She had never met her grandfather but of all the things she had heard she doubted very much that he would mind sleeping with peasants.

"You sure 'know' a lot about things you've never seen or experienced girl" -He spit the last word like it was a disease, his temper flaring as she continued on.
Growl rumbling through is throat, he sprang at his creme cousin, ebony ears held back as he beared his teeth. His claws were not out yet, but the hurtling and muscled young body sailing at her was likely enough to do some damage.- "Obviously you aren't high enough to be told of important things like my father!"

She laughed. "Oh what poison you attempt to create." She laughed and watched him pounce moving to the side a little jumping off her rock, so he only hit her side and probably didn't get the effect he wanted. She staggered a little but managed to stay on her feet, just.
"Or maybe your mind thinks up such stupid things that you can't tell reality from dreams." She spat at him, laughing a little as she did so.
"Also your father, if he exists should have at least taught you how to treat girls... and how to control that temper of yours. It will get you killed like that." She laughed a little still feeling the pain in her side though she refused to show it.
"You are just pathetic. Go and grow up and then maybe then you will understand life more, your parents are obviously rubbish teachers." She chuckled and started walking away, wincing each time she moved one side of her body. Stupid boys.

-He caught himself softly, quickly flipping around to face her once more. His entire life he'd been taught to play fight, to wrestle, to hunt even. How many juvi's could say they'd been part of a hunt already? That they themselves had severed the throat of a creature far larger in size?
Perhaps her words would have gotten by on his twin, the more cool and rational of the two. But they did nothing but seal her fate in the eyes of the azure firecracker. Her words probably held true. Someday his temper would get him in trouble. But today was not that day, and in truth, her words were getting her in far more trouble then his temper was. He was bigger than her, his tiny body liddeled in nothing but muscle already, and her had experience, lots and lots of experience.
Snarl rippling through him, each lie and disgrace she spat pushing him further, he glared silently until finally she turned. And then it began.
Claws unseathing, he bounded forward quickly behind her, bringing down his claws at the rear-end and back she's so stupidly offered to him. Claws curling into the soft flesh to try and keep her from tugging away, Ahai prepared to bite at her leg, daring her to try and pull away with is claws so grandly stuck.-

In his blind anger it had seemed to pass him that no matter how much experiance one can have just having siblings can teach one many things.
He got her and she yelped in pain, rolling onto her back, her claws out and now she did what she knew she could, her front end was useless to help so she put all her power and might into kicking and scratching at his face. He wasn't getting her that easily. She wasn't stupid, hadn't he realised that yet.
"Pathetic kitten!" She snarled at him kicking and scratching, she would damage him if he wanted to damange her. She was one to avoid fights and would never start a physical battle but she would be happy to finish one/
