Rules:
~ No posting in this thread unless it's your test.
~ Limited to 4 posts. You can use less.
~ You have 2 weeks to finish your rp
~ Must use the battle field type assigned to you
~ You create a monster of your choice
~ Have fun!

1~Ice- Pretty simple with this one. The floor becomes solid ice. There are random chunks of ice protruding from the floor. And of course, you have little to no traction.

2~Desert- Pretty much nothing but massive sand dunes. You sink down into the sand, which slows you down a LOT. If the wind blows, the sand gets kicked up, which obscures vision.

3~Open Field- A plain grassy field with nothing on it.

4~Ocean- A mini ocean about 40 feet deep. There are five floating platforms for battlers to stand on. The plat forms bob around and it's really hard to keep your balence on them.

5~Dense Forest- The arena is packed from wall to wall with dense, tropical trees. As in any tropical jungle, there are lots of vines and other such things to get tangled up in.

6~Land of Fire- Parts of the arena floor sink away, leaving behind pits of lava. Also, pillars of fire erupt from the floor periodicly

7~Concrete- A plain concrete floor.

8~The Abyss- Near complete darkness engulfs the arena. Dark energy is abundant in this field.

9~The Sanctuary- Opposite of the Abyss. Light energy fills the arena. Its very bright!

10~No floor- The floor drops away leaving a pit filled with spikes. There are levitating platforms at varrying heights, going all the way to the top of the arena. It's hard to jump from platform to platform, and trust me, you don't want to fall.

Ari's right foot entered the arena, followed by the rest of her body, picking up a sword at the entrance. Emotionless. That was the word that could describe her to a T. In her mind was only the thought of the task at hand. She stood erect in the center of the arena, awaiting her fate. The door was shut, followed directly by the shifting of the arena. It molded into a dense forest, full of trees, vines, and no open bodies of water. 'Luckily plants have to drink.' Ari's gaze travelled throughout the arena, taking in her surroundings, and finished its path on the cursed Drenched stone that hung around her neck. 'Fail me not.' Her focus snapped up as sounds of movement in the tree above her alerted her back to her purpose in the arena.

Hidden among the vines and leaves of one of the tallest trees awaited Tafu, the creatures of the earth. With powers of camouflage, it was hard to tell what he truly looked like. Blending in with the tree, all that could be seen was his three eyes and if stared at closely enough, his size. Tafu was about three inches taller than Ari, but his power outshined even the greatest of sorcerers. His was the master of spells and incantations and not only was he able to teleport, Tafu was also capable of healing and flight. Calling him a challenge would be a massive understatement.

Ari heightened her body and prepared herself for battle. She still did not know what awaited her in the treetops, but she was determined to beat it. She blew her blue bangs out of her face and concentrated her sharp blue ocean eyes on the source of the noise. Irising in on the point of disturbance, Ari noticed at last her opponent. Her Drenched Stone began to pulsate and she knew he was part human. "Reveal yourself human! Cowards are not meant to battle." The hate for humans within her bubbled over. 'It better show itself soon before I hack that tree down!'

It was as if Tafu had heard her, for he suddenly appeared directly in front of her eyes. Ari lunged her right fist forward to strike him but he teleported behind her, kicking her in the low back and knocking her to the ground. Tafu teleported over to where Ari lay tangled in the tightening vines and leaned over her. "Am I enough of a challenge for you? I hope this coward proves himself." Tafu sneared in her face before teleporting once again behind her. "Sol Desperando Feru!" The vines began to entrap Ari almost immediately, wrapping themselves ever so tightly around her body.

'What do I do?' She gazed down at her Stone for help. It was like a voice inside her head, commanding her to use the gift of water manipulation that she had been given so many years ago. The vines began to loosen gradually, until eventually Ari was able to wriggle out. She climbed to her feet and faced Tafu.

"Well, well, well," Tafu sneered at Ari, "It seems that you do have a mind capable of thought. Now, as much fun as this is, I do have places to go and people to see." He taunted her, teleporting in random places so rapidly that it was near impossible for Ari to keep up with him. "Enough games, human." Ari was beginning to feel agitated which was never a good sign. A sudden mist occured and shielded Ari. It was so clouded that the fog could be mistaken as a sheet of white linen. 'He won't be able to see through this, unlike my trained eyes, he is unprepared for this thickness.' Ari smirked to herself at the idea of Tafu attempting to locate her in the fog. Suddenly out of the corner of her eye, Ari caught sight of Tafu. He appeared confused and dazed. In a swift movement, Ari was behind him about to attack with her sword when Tafu showed his true colors. He erupted in a massive attack, crying out different incantations, causing Ari to fly across the arena and land against a tree, smacking her head as she finally struck the ground.

Memories flooded into her mind as she lay unconscious. Battles and training entered her thoughts. A more direct memory broke through the gray though.

~'A wolf demon leaned against a stone wall with a sword clasped in his hands. It was the same demon that she had dreamed about before right after killing an innocent sailor. Near the demon were three others. They appeared to be friends because they were joking around. Quickly, the mood changed as one of the three others cried out, "How can you love her? She's betrothed and besides she's the head honcho's daughter." The other two nodded their heads in agreement, followed by the wolf demon's response to the question. "I love her and there's nothing else to it. I can't change it. I'm going to marry her if it's the last thing I do. Even if that means stealing her in the night and running off together." The others shook their heads, but the wolf demon's attention drifted over to the entry where she appeared. From her lips poured words of deepest sorrow and love. "I was listening and I am truly regretful. I will not abandon my father in his hour of need even if my love for you overcomes all other feelings. My honor requires me to have it this way." The wolf demon rushed over to her, leaving his friends to watch on in awe. "How about if I battle you for it? Just a practice, no actual harming involved. The first one to be able to kill the other wins, only, if I win, we vow to run off." "But, if I win, my heart stays for my father. Also, I demand the right of choice in weapon. And I choose swords." The other three were astonished. As well trained as the princess was, they all knew that heart Kouga heart was the better swordsman...'~

The memory faded to black as an icy feeling awoke Ari. Her eyelids blinked slowly open as her focus drifted back to the surface. Ari, realizing that she had blacked out and that the battle was still waging, frantically searched for the wizard who had sent her into her unwanted memory. Ari's eyes wandered both high and low, but she could find no signs of the horrible wizard. She began to feel uneasy at not knowing the location of human. Ari's body felt heavy, like a giant boulder ready to collapse, but she managed to lift herself to her feet, using the tree for support. The moment her dainty hand touched the large tree, her normally warm palm felt numb from the extreme cold of the tree. Ari knew that she must lean against the tree in order to keep herself standing, so she dealt with the pain and the freezing cold against her bareskin. She surveyed the arena once again and saw multiple signs of more frozen trees and vines. Even the ground appeared like sheets ice. As the strange feeling in the pit of her stomach grew larger, she allowed her alertness to dissolve away. Her mind was completely preoccupied with the astounding forest before her eyes. She did not understand how such a mighty forest could have fallen to pieces from mere ice and freezing temperatures. Ari's entire body began to shiver and shake and her teeth chattered.

Tafu crouched behind Ari, hiding himself from sight by blending into the background. He watched on as Ari's body convulsed in the cold. Being immune to his own spell, Tafu laughed to himself at the girl who he believed to be beneath his supreme power and skill. He observed her for a few more minutes, making sure that his next move was accurate. 'Her stone seems to be her main source of power. She has held fast to it several times. If I snatch it, then maybe she will be helpless and just surrender to my might.' He had talked himself into it. Slowly, Tafu reached around Ari's neck and grasped onto the Stone that hung ever so carefully. He ripped his arm back, breaking the necklace off of her neck, then shoving her back to the ground. Tafu thrust his arm into the air in triumph. "Now that I have your power stone, you will bow before me or face my wrath!" He laughed maniacally at the pitiful Drenched.

Ari's entire body began to feel drained of all power and energy. She could feel her life being stolen from her. With the few amounts of breath she had left, Ari pleaded to Tafu, barely able to get the words out. "I...need...the Drenched...Stone. I will....die without...it. Please." Her face fell to her chest as her arms gave out. Ari lay almost completely motionless facedown on the icy ground, inhaling what air her lungs would allow her to. In moments, she would be dead.

Tafu looked closely into Ari's eyes, seeing only suffering. He hads little pity for his opponent, yet he did have a miniscule sense of sorrow for the dying woman. As Tafu contemplated returning her stone necklace, Ari gasped for air.

Normally, Ari would not need breath in her lungs due to her being a part of the water, but without the Drenched Stone around her neck, the old demon ways overcame her. The little amount of strength began to disappear from her already helpless body and Ari could tell the air she had just inhaled would be her very last. Moments in time started flashing before her eyes.

~Submerged in the dangerous ocean waters, Ocean's Fury brewed a storm, while Ari and Ocean's Innocence watched on in anticipation of the murders they were predestined to commit.~

A zoom of the memory brought Ari to another time.

~The grand shores of the large city by the water rose from the fierce waves. Both Ari and Ocean's Fury swiftly propelled themselves forward towards their pasts.~

Tafu watched on as Ari's body began to convulse and her eyes rolled back. Acting quickly, he replaced the Stone on her chest, hoping she would regain her liveliness. He did not wish to lose the battle, but nor could he weigh her death on his conscious.

Ari's body stiffened and her eyes returned to their normal position. Almost instantaneously, Ari's strength and composure assumed their rightful place within her. She felt at home in her body. Climbing to her feet, Ari addressed Tafu with great appreciation. "Thank you. You put aside the petty differences and saved my life. For that I will withdraw myself from this battle and hand you the title of champion." Ari bowed to the great master of magic, feeling for the first time in her life no hatred towards the human race. As she rose from her bow, she noticed Tafu's nod of agreement. Ari slowly floated out of the room, not in victory of the outer battle, but in triumph of her inner struggle with the human race.

Length and Pacing: Your length and pacing throughout the posts was very even and steady. Good job on that.

General Grammar Rules: Very good on this section. There were just a few typos that I could spot. Also, I noticed that you were using a wider variety of words than the last test, and not in a bad way. They all made sense and helped to turn you rp into a very interesting story.

Personality: I really loved how you brought up all the different memories of Ari and seamlessly melded them into the story. Very good job with that. I also applaud you for actually remembering all those different things. I had almost forgotten our drenched story. :whacks head for being an idiot:

Use of Environment: I like how you included the environment into Tafu's attacks. Also, the change of the forest by being frozen was a nice touch. Perhaps you could have described the forest in more detail in the first post, like the tree he was in or the forest in you immediate area.

Details: Nicely done with you details. Everything that you described was done to the full extent and created a nice mental image. Like I said, you could have described the environment just a bit more.

I give you a B+ or 78 credits

Length and Pacing: Even and long, very good!

General Grammar Rules: I caught a few, but not really enough to dampen the overall...thing. (Yuki's brain has now exploded and I've forgotten which word I wanted to use sweatdrop ) One tip, though - instead of using the same word for the color blue, mix it up perhaps. Maybe azure or something to add some variation!

Personality: Definitely excellent. The use of the memory as a tool to advance the plot as well as an insight to the character was definitely something I enjoyed!

Use of Environment: Pretty good job on this - perhaps a bit more detail on the forest in general, but definitely a good use of it within the exam.

Details: I could picture everything with reasonable ease, so yes, good job~

I give you a B+, or 79 credits~
