A tigress that fell in love with a mortal human and was betrayed when her secret was found out. Her people destroyed and eliminated, never to be heard of except as horrors to scare children into behaving.
The tiger shape-shifters were known for their golden feline eyes and their namesake gem that were just as enchanting with magical powers and abilities. The simplest of the powers being that the gem gave the bearer the ability to take on tiger form if only a tear and drop of blood were caught by the gem.
The race had suffered genocide. The empire were no more than ruins. And the power of the tigereye forgotten even the the legend itself...
