The sun was shining lazily as it poked it's rays through one of the many trees where a rogue lioness happened to be sleeping. She tried to close her eyes tightly as the sun tried to open them but to no avail. The sun won and The lioness was up and stretching, wondering what she was going to do today. She walked out from under the tree and surveyed the landscape. It was in part of the Pridelands with a few trees and some dying grass.
Hadiya, the lioness, stretched once more and started to walk in a direction that was unknown to her. The sun was at her left side. Her stomach growled in annoyance for she had not eaten in a day. She decided she would find something to eat and then think about the rest of her day.

The red lion, Jaha, emerged from the river happily with a fish about the size of a football. The sun was scorching today. Not a cloud in the sky, the perfect weather for him to lay on "his" river rock and let his fish get a bit chewier for the baking sun.
He layed on his stomach on the smooth river rock to dry like a sheet on a clothes line. He stuck his paw in the water and sighed as the cool river water kept his paw cool. This was the perfect type of day, The water was cool and the air and ground were hot. If he were to get tired of one, he would alternate to the other.

Hadiya had soon happened upon a river. She jmped in, refreshing herself and let her body get out of the sun's rays. She climbed back out and shook herself. There was still a little water on her but she didn't mind. She looked ahead to see a red, male lion eating something, she couldn't tell what, on a rock. She slowly crept up to him. "Are the fish good today?" She asked once she was close enough, saw that he was eating a fish and that he was almost done.

Jaha finished chewing his mouthful of fish, paused a moment and without looking Hadiya said shortly, "Yes". He returned to his, rather chewie, fish. The lioness was quite pretty and he had noticed. But she didn't have to know that. His fish had now been stripped down to bones. He pushed the bones away and turned onto his back to let his stomach dry.

Hadiya laughed a little as she saw the male lie on his back. She shook her haed and wadded into the river to start catching, or at least try, a fish. The male was handsome she thought but had to put her attention into catching a fish.
After a few minutes without any success, she finally caught one and climbed back onto the bank of the river to start eating her catch.

Jaha wasn't quite sure why she was laughing but shrugged nonetheless. His stomach finished drying so he got up and sat on his rock. He saw Hadiya come out of the river with a fish. Normally he didn't care at all about other lions fishing but she was different somehow. He smiled when he saw her catch a fish. He layed back down on the rock, this time on his stomach, and place his other paw in the water and slowly stirred the water with his paw.

After she had finished, she laid the bones down and looked at the male lion. She saw him swishing his paw in the water. She got up and sat down next to the rock he was on and looked at her reflection in the water. It was almost like a mirror exccept for the few ripples that came through and caused it to look like a jigsaw. After staring at her reflection for another minute she finally asked, "Who are you?" to the male.

Jaha realized Hadiya was sitting next to him. For some reason, He felt a hot prickle go down his spine. He felt sort of happy but his stomach was feeling weird and he was sorta jumpy.
When she asked him who he was, he jolted slightly from the broken silence. He sighed and said quitely, "I'm Jaha".

She smiled. Jaha. She liked that name. "My name is Hadiya. Nice to meet you." She responded in an even tone even though her stomach felt like it had butterflies in it. She had never felt that before and she sort of wanted to get rid of it. Hadiya looked up at Jaha.

Her beautiful, glassy eyes, he spaced out for a few seconds that felt like hours while looking into them. When he came back into focus, he was afraid she left.
He cleared his throat and said a little bit friendlier, "Nice to meet you too."
He just couldn't seem to stop this prickling feeling. Mabye getting in the water would make him feel better. "Um... would you like to join me for a swim?", he asked.

She nodded her head and smiled. Maybe this would be an opportunity to get to know him better. Although looking into his eyes would have been enough. Those eyes that she felt she had gotten lost in. Turning away from him, she slowly wadded into the water, feeling the rush of water on top of her, she dove her head down, just to bring it up again for she needed air.

Jaha felt a sudden jolt of joy when he realized that Hadiya liked him enough to accept his offer. The sky seemed to get brighter as his day got better, and right now, the sky was very bright.
Jaha followed Hadiya into the water. The water seemed even more refreshing when Hadiya was in it with him. Although, the water hadn't gotten rid of his odd prickling in his spine like he had hoped.
The sun seemed to shine sirectly on the female's fur and make her seem to shine and glow. Enough to make him want to get closer to her.

Hadiya giggled to herself and then slowly submerged her head underwater. Although the butterflies were still in her stomach, she was glad that he was there in the water with her. She came back up and with a swipe of her paw, splashed Jaha with some water.

For some odd reason, Jaha's personalilty seemed to change when he had the prickling down his spine. Not to mention the facy that he only got the prickling when he was near her. Sunndenly. he felt a splash of water hit him. Normally, he wouldn't have retaliated and would of just made a slightly irritated face.
Instead, he laughed and said playfully, "Oh, it's on!". After he said that, he shook his soaked mane to splatter her with water. He smiled playfully and whatched her to see if she would retaliate.

She laughed as she was the water droplets hit her. To avoid the rest of the water, she dove down and then swam up behind him. She then jumped on him and said, "Got ya!"
