my character, Inigo Jones, would like to get to know the other students in his house, especially the ones in his year. but no one ever seems to post anything here! so i'ma try to get something started, but you must understand it would be out of character for Inigo to do this...
so, how do you guys feel about being in Hufflepuff? Helga Hufflepuff is one of Inigo's heroes, so he's very happy about it. maybe some people really wanted to be in another house, though... comments?
what year is everyone in? this is only Inigo's second year at Hogwarts...
here's some more about Inigo:
Gaia name: danseeter wheelos
RPC name: Inigo Jones
gender: male
appearance: average height, slight build, skinny, longish untidy pale hair, large dark eyes
wand: rowan, whisker of a grugach (sort of a hairy welsh brownie)
House: Hufflepuff
Age: 13
Year: year 2 (yes, he's old for his year; he got a late start due to adverse circumstances, see bio)
Quidditch: not this year (he''s year 2); maybe next year, when he's year 3; would be chaser
Personality: soft spoken, usually reserved, easily hurt but tries not to show it. keeps his judgements to himself, but very anxious to please those he respects. occasionally among close friends will briefly become animated & verbose.
Pet: tortoiseshell cat: Lady Murasaki
Bio: Father (Philo Jones) was muggle-loving wizard; killed by deatheaters. Mother (Phoebe Llewellyn Jones) is muggle; after Philo "disappeared," she moved back to Wales to live with her stodgy father Martin, who is distrustful of magic because of old legends & family tradition. Inigo was born there; his grandfather loves him but is very strict with & demanding of him. His mother had to plead long & hard for him to be allowed to attend Hogwarts, & Inigo had to sucessfully pass several trials set by his grandfather before Martin could trust that "the boy" was ready to leave home & contend with the "wicked & dangerous" world of wizardry.
so, c'mon, let's get to know eachother so we can have parties in the common room & sneaky midnight adventures & stuff! i want Inigo to have some more people to play with!

Inigo enters the Hufflepuff common room dragging his trunk & out of breath, with a fluffy tortoiseshell cat attempting to trip him up. "Argh! Murasaki-Sama! i don't want to kick you!"
He sees a tall blonde upperclasswoman & recognizes the House Team Seeker. He peers at her shyly, a little in awe of her status & quidditch skills.

"i'll just, um, lead it up to my bed then, shall i?" he walks off, casting backwards glances at the trunk to make sure it is still following him. Lady Murasaki prances along, batting playfully at a curl of leather dangling from the trunk.

Daniella was in the corner of the Hufflepuff common room watching all this going on. She stood up and walked over to the group. "You all may think that all of us Hufflepuffs are worthless, but we have morals and standings. But we really don't care. We are hard workers and willing to do anything for our friends. Yes, as a lot of Hufflepuffs we were first disappointed that we got Sorted into the Hufflepuff House, but when you meet friends that will do anything for you, you find out that this is where you belong." She turned to Inigo and smiled. "Hello, I'm Daniella White, but everyone calls me Dani."

Inigo blushes & stares at his feet. "Hullo, Dani. Inigo Jones, second year." Then he gathers his courage & speaks: "I wasn't disappointed at getting into Hufflepuff... I was proud! Helga Hufflepuff was the kindest of the four founders or Hogwarts, because she didn't require any extraordinary abilities to get into her house. My grandda always says "It's better to be kind than clever." I am not always brave, only sometimes smart, & rarely ambitious. But if I can be true, loyal & faithful at all times, why, that's what makes a really GOOD wizard! Here in Hufflepuff, we are the opposite of everything Volde-" He breaks off at the gasps around him, then continues in a softer voice, "We are the antithesis of what the Death Eaters & that wizard whom many fear to name stand for. Of this we should be proud!" Crimson with embarrassment, he turns & runs from the common room up the stairs, his trunk & cat following.
