So much controversy about if they exist and how much of an orb should be allowed...
What do you think of cusps? Is a person just in ONE sign (even by a 1/10 of a degree) or do you blend the two signs together?
If the latter option, how much of an orb do you allow? Some astrologers use less than 1 degree (0'01 Aries is on Pisces cusp, but not 1'01 Aries) whereas others will allow as much as 5 degrees! (4'29 Aries is on Pisces cusp)
Do you think other planetary positions besides Sun can be on the cusp?
Ex: 29'10 Virgo Moon
Is it on cusp of Libra?
What are your opinions?

i don't know. a lot of times i hear, "well, i'm X but i'm on the cusp to Y, and i feel a lot more Y than X,* but then you look at their chart and they'll have a moon and lots of planets in Y. as for other planets/luminaries, i think the same applies.
so i personally don't think there's a whole lot to the cusps idea, but that's just me.

I think so when you're born on a borderline of the dates and whether the persons hows traits of the signs. I show traits of the Libra and the Scorpio, and that's what I am. I was born at 12:45 midnight on the 22 of Oct, but the time leads me to believe that I finished off Libra and started on Scorpio...
-shrugs- it's a theory. Go figure..

My best friend was born on July 20 and she's really more Leo than she is Cancer!!! But.... Leo's her rising sign, too, so....
I just really think they should make horoscopes for people born on cusps mad That bugs me.

i just had an idea.
what if your mom starts going into labour in one sign, but you finally emerge from the womb in another? i think that might be a viable case for cusps.

Kind of off topic, but I've always wanted to hear of a case in which one twin was born one sign, and the second in the next. They'd both be on the cusp then, I'd say.

If one had several planets on the cusp though.... For example, I have 4: Jupiter Gemini 1 degree Sun Aries 1 degree Moon Virgo 29 degree Venus Pisces 28 degree Would you consider any of them to be a cusp?

my Mercury is 1 Leo, and i feel that that strongly in my personality. yes, the Mercury in Cancer descriptions applies somewhat, but being a Cancer sun, i think that is to be expected.

I'm not very sure. It's hard to tell with some of them especially the Venus and Sun. That Venus is conjunct Sun in Aries so even if it was a cusp or not I wouldn't be able to tell. Vice versa too. What makes Venus even more annoying to figure out is that it's on the Scorpio decan. Mars influence already. Does your Moon or Cancer sun share aspects with your Leo Mercury?

only the Pisces moon trines the Mercury (but the moon rules Cancer anyway, so...)

It does seem that a lot of people born on cusps have a lot of influence in their chart from the sign that is not their sun, technically, but that they are cusping... (like a virgo/leo cusp has a virgo sun with leo rising, etc.) So, I don't know if the cusp has anything to do with it, but they do seem like combinations...

Do you think Planets can be in TWO houses? Suppose the planet is technically in 8th yet conjuncts 9th.

My mother was born on February 19th, and she complains that everything says she is a Pisces, but she doesn't feel like one, she says she feels more Aquarius. I did an Astro.com thing on her, and her moon was Aquarius, along with 3 planets. neutral

Im on the very first day of Virgo so im on the cusp with Leo. I have alot of both signs traits. idk i think if i wasnt on the cusp of leo maybe i would be less...loud or outspoken...yeah

It would be interesting to see how many planets you had in Leo, if your have some Leo traits.
