I've only read two stories featuring that pairing. And although it is interesting, I do not see it working out. Sakura is too active, too troublesome for Shikamaru.

Although I doubt it'll ever happen, I do support the pairing. Not one of my favorite pairings, but I do like it. 3nodding
I think what drove me to like this pairing was probably the second Naruto movie, how they were working together a lot. It had me thinking that they worked well together, and they're both pretty smart. So why not? XD

belive it or not but there are a few hints to the couple in the show though i doubt it will happen.... but its still pretty cute

I think it's cool, since they are smart. Seriously, and in the episode when the sand village attacked during the chunin exams, the were the only two students that released genjutsu. I know it's not a good reason, but hey, one the episode has Naruto thinking Sakura is on a date with Shikamaru.
