I heard somewhere that with a drawing tablet, the brush will get bigger or smaller depending on how hard you press down. True or false?

Um, I don't think so. The longer you hold it down, the more "filled out" it might be--the color will be darker and closer to the color you have it set for--because of the pressure sensitivity, but it shouldn't get bigger or darker than what you have the pen and color set for in your art program.
I suppose there may be some tablets (or maybe art programs) which make the brush bigger infinitely as you hold the pen down, but I don't know which ones those would be.

You can set it to do that.. either in the tablet settings or in Photoshop. I'm not really sure. O__o;; (I don't use my tablet nearly as often as I should. XD; ) But yeah, you can definitely set it to either change size or change opacity with pressure. (You might even be able to set it to do both at the same time, I'm not sure.. >__> wait, how would that work?;;; )
But anyway, I totally forget how, I'm sorry. XD Maybe someone will show up who knows. ^^; Or maybe you can Google it.

If it's in Photoshop... well, I wouldn't know either.
The Wacom webpage shows something like the brush changing size: http://www.wacom.com/productinfo/features.cfm?feature=pressure But it's sort of trailing off, not getting bigger.
Either way, even if a tablet can do that, it wouldn't necessarily do that, so it's true and false, I guess. *shrug*

You're talking about the pressure sensitivity. Press lightly, and it's like you're coloring lightly. Press harder, and the color comes down thicker the same way it would when you work with ink.
