"why am I here again?" Macy asked, rather put out at being dragged out of bed early just to get breakfast and walk along the beach to watch the stupid sun rise and the stupid boats set out to travel between Barton Coast and Gambino Island. It sucked royally to be out so early, everything seemed to suck to the grumpy Unigon Coursier.
"you complain that i don't let you out anymore and then you complain about being let out, Mace you really should make your mind up" Nishi commented, smiling happily as he sat beside Macy on the cool sand.
Macy sighed and took a bite from his bagel, ignoring the cup of take-away coffee positioned on the blanket next to him. He hated the black sour liquid and it always tasted the same to him, no matter how much cream and sugar he added to it. He much prefered a cup of Earl Grey Tea or a mug of cocoa.
Nishi was currently watching a large cargo ship set out at it's slow pace, slipping lazily towards the horizon.
Macy turned his red rimmed silver eyes to watch Nishi for a moment before he copied the human, trying to find what simple pleasures could be found by sitting and watching something not exciting. Watching the Angels sing and dance was exciting because they were good at their job as hosts and Macy knew them and talked to them regulary. But watching a rusty old hunk of bolts sail slowly across a dirty salt ocean was just too pathetic in itself. He frowned and lay back, his lied up red with black tips hair spilling around his head as he gazed at the orange painted sky, trying to find something interesting to watch or think about.

Elle was walking along the sand almost silently with the tall coursier beside him, Caspian, the pirate King.
Periwinkle and Illiam were floating around jut the water, picking up shells and other things that caught their fanciful attention for a moment, and tucking them away into a litle bucket, one each, hooked over their arms as they chirped and scolded eachother for for heavens knows what.
Caspian stayed quiet, and so did Elle.. though with Elle it was far more inetentional.. Caspian just didnt want to scare the young man... well.. not any more anyway... so he just walked silently looking out at the sparkling waters, palrtly longing for his ship again.. he loved being at sea, dry land felt so tame compared to the tossing and writing waves of the ocean.. but for now he was here to look out for Elle.. so that's what he would do.
Elle sighed quietly to hiself.. he knew the pirate was trying to benice by not leaving him alone.. and not trying to talk.. an djust generally trying not to do all of the things that the jovial young man liked to do.. but at the same time he really felt like he needed to be alone.. he just didnt know what to make of this strange new addition to his life.. but there wasnt really anything he could do... Further up the beach he saw a couple of figures settled, but he didnt move towards them for now.. he just stayed walking along where he was...

Macy growled to himself and sat up, still that infernal cargo ship hadn't sailed very far and the fact it was hideously scarring the horizon--well in his opinion-- ticked him off further still.
"oh fer god sake! why doesn't it just sink?at least then it'll do something faster and more interesting!" Macy yelled, angrily standing up and striding purposefully towards the sea. He stopped and stood,hands on hips where the water only just brushed his black boots and glared daggers at the boat.
Nishi was in a laughing fit, the Unigon was really rather funny when he was in a mood, well if he wasn't doing something to cause trouble to himself directly he was funny. Like that time he walked headfirst into the door when he tried storming out and got stuck because his horn went straight through the flimsy wooden panel.
"Macy I very much doubt glaring at it will do any good, and yelling at it won't either! stop throwing a fit and go for a dip!" Nishi said,smiling as he pushed Macy into the water, effectively managing to help a particulary big wave soak the fuming Coursier. Macy stood there for a few moments, dripping with water as his knuckles clenched and he ran at Nishi, who turned and ran away,laughign merrily.
"i'm gonna strangle you for that Nish!" Macy yelled at the brunette as he chased him, noting that Nishi was running at a couple of people walking along the beach.

Caspian paused at the yelling.. was it really necesary? This was meant to be aholiday after all! He could have yelling and ranting any time he wanted just by going back to his ship! It was making Elle nicely wide eyed to boot.. the poor guy... Shaking his head he patted Elle on the shoulder and smiled down at him.
"Dont worry.. i'm sure they'll quieten down soon.." BUt when he saw the brunette that was heading straight towards them he grabbed a hold of Elle and lifted him straight of his feet and spun around to set him down out of harms way, the large plumed hat flying easilly of his head as he did so.
"Watch where you're Going!" Caspian yelled in his best captains voice.
Elle simply eaped quietly as he was spun, and clung onto Caspian for a moment.. he'd never been so greatful for the Pirate King before.. the notion of being charged into really didnt apeal!

Macy halted as Nishi went sailing past the once occupied space, he recognised this guy. With his stupid feather hat and his brown hair....oh, he'd seen him in court a numerous ammount of times.
"Jareth's stupid cousin" he muttered, his eyes flashing with mild annoyance. Nishi had spun around and nearly fallen when he suddenly found himself charging at nothing--not that he charged at things on purpose--blinking he smiled, and stared at Macy.
" someone from your castle?" he asked, knowing that Macy was only with him as a 'special form' of punishment.

Capsian rolled his eyes and slowly let go of Elle who was giving Macy a shocked look..
"Oh please." He stated..
"Dont exadgerate the raltionship.. I'm nothing like his cousin.. there is no like blood in our veins.." He pulled a repulsed face and leant down and swept his hat off the floor and set about the task of dusting it soff.
"To be frank, I'm about as popular in the goblin court as a bad case of flue would be, and I like it there about as much as I like having my skin peeled off. And I'm no masochist." He wrinkled his nose and tugged the hat back on his head, setting it his favoured angle, his eyes running over Macy after he was content.
"Who are you anyway? Cant say you're a face I know.. and.. I think I would remember.."
Elle gave Caspian a wary look after his pronouncment about the Goblin court.. he'd been there with him once.. it had been.. unusual.. he sighed and tried to edge away from the group, he couldnt help the uneasy feeling, he wasnt good with people he didnt know.. he wished he'd never agreed to look after Periwinkle for his brother.. he wished Faythe was here with him. That would make things better.. he was sure of it..
Cautiously he looked up at Nisi.. his white hair falling over his eyes as he did.

Macy sighed and swept his twin colored hair out of his eyes, listening to Caspian drone on about how he hated Jareth's court, about how he wasn't realted and about the flu. What the hell was the flu? he'd never had it.
"I like the court as much as you do...i'm one of Jareth's stupid little rarities he keeps about just to boost his own huge and annoying ego" Macy muttered, his eyes diverting down. Nishi blinked and smiling walked to stand next to Macy.
"sorry about the run-in, i'm Nishi Merlin and this is Lord Macy Tresquax of the Southern Woodland Plains....or Jareth's little favourite" Nishi commented, slinging his arm carelessly around Macy's shoulders as he smiled at Elle and his group.

Elle nodded slowly..
"I'm Elle.." He stated quietly, not seeing the need to give his full name really, it was a stupid name, and he wished his mother had chosen somthing else, but what did it matter now..?
"And.. uh.." He glanced up at Caspian who smiled warmly at him, which encouraged Elle a little.
"This is Caspian Aurelius.. He's the king of the Pirates!" he stated, a happy little note in his voice as he finished the statement, his eyes smiling in a friendly as he looked at Nishi.. somone was talking to him! And not talking down to him either.. actually letting him answer!
Caspian smiled, and bowed to the pair, whisking his hat of his head again.
"Lord Macy huh?" He asked, grinning slightly..
Yeah.. now you mention it I think I did hear that wretced Goblin mention you a couple of times." he wrinkled his nose.
"Some combination arent you?" he asked, flicking his hat back onto his head once more..
"The actualy name escapes me." he was polite to a fault was Caspian.
"If you'll forgive me though, you seem frightfully bored.. and.. a trifle damp."

"he's a Unigon! part Unicorn,part Dragon, he's exceptional though..wouldn't you Agree King Caspian?" Nishi said happily, leaning his full weight on Macy. Macy stepped back and Nishi fell forward, landing face down in the sand.
Macy grinned and looked to Caspian, suddenly noting he was wet. He looked down at his dripping clothes and fished a bit of seaweed from off his side horns.
"yes well...blame him,and i'm only a Lord by my invasion of a land after I fled the Labyrinth" Macy muttered, pointing down to Nishi boredly, he was still face down and apparantly laughing at himself.

Elle squeaked and crouched down beside Nisi and plucked at his hsoulder a couple of times..
"Nishi..?" He wasked quietly..
"Are you okay..?" He didnt seem to understand why the boy wasnt trying to get to his feet again..
"You're not hurt are you..?" Elle really was too sweet somtimes..
Caspian raised his eyebrow at Nishi as he went down..
"Oh yes, truely exceptional.." he stated with a smile..
"Cirtainly interesting I'll give him that.." He flicked his eyes back to macy and smiled again.
"It must have been tiresome bein Jareths toy, you fled you say? I congratulate you.. not many people escape that place.." He placed a hand on his own hip and le his eyes run over the Unigon once.. he really was rather attractive.. not that Caspian was really looking into anyhting like that just now.. but it had to be noted he felt.

"i'm fine, just fine...meerly observing the sand" Nishi said, after he had lifting his now sand covered hair and face off the ground and turned it towards Elle. A seemingly permanant smile on his face.
Macy flinched slightly at the stare Caspian was giving him, he hated people looking at him in an observing way. It made him feel like a piece of art or something unuseful except for eye-candy.
"it was, and the stupid creep keeps stalking me now aswell" he muttered, shifting uncomfortably, a slight hint of a blush on his tanned cheeks. Not that it was easy to find unless looked for.

Elle nodded and reachedout a hand, flicking his fingers over nishi's hair, trying to remove some of the sand for him
"Does it look good?" He asked quietly, tipping his head to the side as he did, a little smile creeping onto his lips now that he was sure the other wasnt unhappy..
He glanced over at the Undera and the Corsea that were playing around together and smiled happily.. they were fine..
Caspian looked away after a moment longer, seemingly no longer bothered about the chance to look over the Unigon.
"Stalking you you say..?" he asked, quirking an eyebrow at him.
"What do you mean stalking you..?" He turned his attention more to Macy..
"Are you cold?" He suddenly asked,
"You're soaking wet after all, it wouldnt surprise me if you were.."

Nishi blinked, and watched Elle. He was still slightly obsessed over Xerxes, but Elle also had a certain charm and he found himself suddenly quite breathless. Faking a warm smile he answered: "oh yes, quite lovely". Though he wasn't sure if it was pointed more to the glittering sand or Elle.
"he keeps following me,in his owl form" he murmured, diverting his gaze out to the ocean. the rusty old tanker and finally moved out of sight and he was glad it wasn't marring the view anymore.
" a little cold, but nothing I can't handle" he muttered, looking back to Caspian with a small smile.

Elle smiled then, a sweet smile hidden in the dark purple scarf he had wound around his neck courtesy of Caspian, but it reached his eyes and they actually lit up. They were a dark brown, deep and doe like, but he was so happy that somone was actually paying him mind, the simple things really made a difference to the quiet, and honestly very lonely young man.
"I'm pleased.." he said quietly, before letting his eyes drop to the sand.
Caspian wrinkled his nose.
"Thats rather obnoxious of him.. owls.." he shook his head..
"I'd just shoo him if it was me.. but oh well.." He shrugged slightly.
"If you'd like I can lend you my coat? I'm not cold at all." he didnt expect the offer to be accepted, but it was there.

Nishi smiled warmly, admiring Elle. He was certainly very cute and appealed grately to Nishi, he resisted the urge to 'make a move' as he felt Caspian would probably try to deck him or something, the outspoken coursier rubbed off negeatively on the businessman.
"yes" Nishi hauled himself into a sitting position. "would you like some coffee?"
"no thankyou" Macy muttered, watching Nishi.
