It was one of those weeks... well, to Jedrek is was more of a life style... with out the life bit.
he never did much of anything, and never felt inspiration to try and fix that.
yet another day in this land of candy. he was not entirely sure why he still stuck around this place. not what Renem was never apart from that glowing male, Jedrek's reason for staying was gone. he could return to the Mollasass swamp.
but he could never bring himself to care enough to leave, something always brought him back.
he sat hunched at the top of a sloping hill, half lidded slit eyes starring blankly at the ground below. he slurped casually as blood threatened to flow from his mouth

Briar strolled through the land, feeling rather bored. It had been a while since he last ran into any other Numa, and the lack of contact with another Numa made things rather dull. Even the sweet taste of gummy fruit seemed lessened when he enjoyed them alone. He gave a sigh as he walked up the slope of a hill, hoping to run into anyone that he could speak to or play with or even just sit with.

he never expected to be alone the entire time. so he was not surprised to see another Numa come strolling into his vision.
it was one he had never met before, but then again all of candy land was filled with them.
he blinked slowly, remaining where he was, not moving or speaking to the other Numa, just watching with mild interest to see what he would do.

When he looked up, Briar spotted another Numa on the top of the hill. He hesitated at the sight. The Numa looked like none he had ever seen before, not just mutated like the coffee Numas were known for, but also... The Numa looked like it had been buried beneath the ground for months at a time. He gulped, tempted to turn right back around and run. However, he didn't. Instead he continued up the hill to meet the other Numa.
"Hello!" he greeted.

Jedrek turned to face the Numa who had approached him. he smirked a little,
and nodded his head in greeting.
well he had to give it to this one, most Numa avoided him. either this Numa was very curious, or just didn't care like his friend Arachne.
"an whats yer name" he asked in a drawn out monotoned voice,
he found that allot of these Candies liked to start out talking about there names. might as well give it a try.

The smirk looked quite creepy on this strange Numa, and - Was that bone he saw among the decayed looking fur? He swallowed and pushed down all fears he felt at that moment about this odd looking Numa.
"I'm Briar," he answered. "Who might you be?"

shifting his body to better face the Numa, laying down and crossing his claws over one another.
ah well, he knew that look. chuckling slightly,
allot of Numa had that kind of behavior. if they were trying to hide it or not.
"is there somethin' i can do for you?" he asked. a little curious himself why the numa had walked up to him

"Jedrek, huh," Briar said, testing out the unusual name. He gave a small roll of his shoulders in a shrug. "It's always nice to meet new Numas." He paused to think. "Are you one of those coffee Numas?" He had only met one, from a distance, that he could remember. He hadn't thought that they left the Molasses Swamp though.

Jedrek smirked again and nodded, making a slurping sound.
"yeah, I am." he cocks his head to the side.
though he was sure that besides his rotting features, he looked very different from the candy Numa, but he often wondered how the candies knew of the Coffee, since they rarely left the swamp. perhaps more have wandered out then he thaught.
"ever met one before?"

"There was one time," Briar said slowly, recalling the meeting. Long ago, he had ventured into the Molasses Swamp with Sky Flier and Medley. It was an adventured he didn't care much to remember. The Molasses Swamp was far different from the rest of Numa Numa Land.

"not surprised, I can't see allot of Coffee standing this place to come in numbers or for very long"
he looks around the candy land with half lidded eyes again.

Briar could understand that. After all, he didn't much care to venture for very long into the Molasses Swamp. Why would a coffee Numa wish to stay outside the Molasses Swamp for long? Wait. That made him realize something.
"What are you doing here instead of there?" he questioned, puzzled.

ah, and now that question popped up.
it took Jedrek a while to figure out the answer.
"I don't know" he said truthfully.
this place lacks the familiarity of the swamp, but other then that he didn't have to much of an opinion on it.
"Maybe I'm just used to it" he answered.
being with Remen, he had been to lots of places in the candy land. maybe in a way he was just as familiar with it as the swamp.
"I go back to the swamp for coffee"

Briar blinked in surprise at that announcement. "Have you been around here long then?" he questioned. "What made you leave the Swamp?" He found himself suddenly full of questions and had to bite down on his tongue to keep from asking them all at once.

once again, more questions he had to find himself considering the answer himself.
its not like he wanted to come here,
"I wandered to far." he slurped again, his paw making little popping noises,
he used one of his claws to push on it, causing the popping to stop.
"i'v been here since i'v met that sky Numa..." he paused for a long time, trying to remember how long ago it was. he remembered it was a holiday... one with lots of candy, and what the Candy Numa considered Spooky costumes. "I don't remember how long" he answered
