Kimi wandered through the forest, walking past the place where she was first reunited with Sgina and Rahu. Kimi almost frowned for a moment, but stopped herself. No, don't think of the hard times, live for today, she thought to herself, trying to make herself follow her new philosophy. Although, she could not help but wondering how Sgina was doing since she had last seen her, it had been quite soem time.

 Deja had wondered off, yet again. He was much like his father in that he liked his time by himself. It seemed he could think clearer at times like that and that he could play with out the fear of being laughed at by his siblings. His mother was kind to him, as was his father but he often got the feeling he was unwanted. He wasnt a fighter and smart like Victor and he wasnt a girl like Vuja.... He was stuck in the middle.
Sighing softly he sat down on the far side of a thick tree looking across the plains. He placed his head on his hooves and looked out over the frozen waves of grass. Lost in his own thoughts. He didnt even notice the dark colored mare, standing only a few feet away from him.

Kimi noticed a young foal that seemed to be looking out in thought. The foal reminded Kimi of herself as a foal. The young stallion foal seemed to be strong, brave and independent, just as Kimi was, except of course, Kimi was a mare. Kimi smiled, the sight of a young foal made Kimi quite happy, so full of innocence and happiness, or at least, the most of them were. "Hello there," said Kimi with a warm and happy smile. "So, what are you doing out on your own? Where are your parents?" Kimi didn't really care too much where the foal's parents were as much as she just wanted to know about the foal, see if the foal was really anything like her.

The white colt flicked his ears in surprise as her voice carried over to him. He lifted his head and looked at her with a bit of interest, he after all hadnt noticed her there before. Perhaps his head had been to far in the clouds. Flexing his wings a little bit the colt hopped up on his feet. "hello." he said respectfully to the mare.
"I just wanted to get away... 'Sides its not like they notice or care half the time. " he sighed quietly and looked off the way he had came, he knew his father would care, he was slightly over protective at times.. but on the other hand His father expected Deja to be strong and there for Deja could take care of himself or suffer the consiquences. His mother... was normally preoccupied with her own life or Victor... something that left a sour taste in Deja's mouth alot of the time. However he didnt fault victor for it. It would seem, that for all his white coloring, Deja was the black sheep of the litter.

"What do you mean they don't notice?" asked Kimi, feeling pity for the foal. "That's terrible! Oh, poor child! Do they ever take care of you or just leave you utterly by yourself? Oh, goodness. When I was a foal, I always tried escaping my parents because they were so protective, but it sounds to me that they don't hardly care at all! I hope that's not the case though."

Deja lightly shrugged his shoulders, he wasnt really bothered by it and the way the mare made it sound was horrable. It made him slightly second guess his situation. "well... Da's always fussin over my sister... and Victor and mum are always together or else ma's just off by herself.... although she's been hanging around alot more since her and Grandpa rahu got in a fight. I was told I cant see grandpa rahu anymore and that he's not really my grandpa." he huffed a bit and furrowed his brow, it was all so much for the colt to take in.

"Victor?" asked Kimi, recognizing a similarity in the name. And did he just say Rahu? Rahu was Kimi's very first friend and still remains a close friend of hers! "Oh my! Grandpa Rahu? Is your mother Sgina by any chance? If so, I think we may have more in common than I thought we'd ever have!" Kimi's eyes widened, awaiting the young foal's answer.

Deja nodded his head and looked up at her with wide eyes. "Yes, she's my mum. How do you know her?" he asked her as he raised an eyebrow. The day was getting stranger and stranger. He looked at the mare before him and slowly tilted his head to the side. Why did she look so happy all of a sudden, perhaps she was a friend of his moms?

"Sgina is my...well. She's my sister," said Kimi, a bit surprised to meet her nephew. Kimi gave a smile to the foal. She was happy to see that Sgina was doing well in raising her children, he seemed to be a great young foal. "That would make me your aunt, Aunt Kimi," said Kimi with a delightful smile, properly introducing herself. "What is your name?"

Deja blinked at the mare, his mother had never mentioned having a sister. Although... now that he looked at her he could make out the stripes... a family trait perhaps? One that he didnt bare but his other siblings did...maybe thats why momma didnt like him as much, he didnt have stripes. "Oh... HI!" he bounced up and looked at her with a bit of awe and admiration. "Momma never said she had a sister..Aunt Kimi... that's a purty name..."

Kimi frowned a bit, disappointed that Sgina had never mentioned her. Hrm, well, Kimi didn't honestly expect her to in the first place, in fact, she'd probably be rather suprised to hear she did. "Thank you," she said to her new found nephew. "What did you say your name was again?"
Kimi gave a playful smile to the young colt. He did appear to look a lot like Sgina, but have a different tint to his coat and had blue on his legs where Sgina had black. Her memory of Sgina's appearance was foggy, but still somewhat familiar.

Deja smiled at his aunt, though he was wary of her, wondering if she was as cold and hard as both his parents could be. While he knew deep down they loved him he felt the most outcast of the children. His tail flicked against the ground as he recounted a little of his life to his aunt and the day waned into the evening. Finally he stood and nodded politely. "I'll have to be going now... It was nice to meet you." He smiled at her, and ran off down the valley to meet with his parents and siblings.
~~~~~~
Months past and winters grasp on the land waned and gave birth to healing spring rains. The trees began to bud and early flowers sprouted from the ground. Deja had grown into a handsome stallion, though he was still as shy and unsure of himself as he had been as a colt, making little friends and forcing himself into a life of solitude. He streched his wings and yawned, finding himself once again on that hill, though the meeting with his aunt was foggy in his mind over the months, he smiled a little at the memory.
