Ummm...so you do or don't want to know? Punctuation helps... sweatdrop And there are many clues throughout the later books...have you read them all? I'm sure there's a thread around here if you dig back some pages.

I don't think it's ever really clean-cut stated what VFD is in the books. You have to draw some of your own conclusions. I'd be happy to share mine if you've pondered over the book sufficiently.

vfd is a lot of things...... not just one in general.... *Its one group of people but not only one thing..... or at least thats what I think

It's a range of things. Start at around book 6 and read to the end and that's when it actually takes shape and becomes a little clearer.

As someone already said, V.F.D is a multiple word.
It is Volunteer Fire Department,
Volunteer Feline Defense, (something like that.)
And so on.
It means many things, and in the Slippery Slope...
