I'll say that. And now that I found myself on the page, I turned bright red, laughed and said "I DO look really bad! EW. XD" But I left the pictures up on my photobucket, just because they REALLY ARE FUNNY. Enjoy the site, laugh, have fun. But beware. Eh, those sort of people just bother me. It's like tearing someone down to make yourself feel better-- granted, some of their points are valid, but a lot of the posts I've seen are just people being malicious.

I'm not disagreeing. But sometimes we need people like this. It keeps us on our toes, right?

I dunno about that. But. .:shrug:. I suppose it's also a good lesson in learning to "rise above", as it were.
I think that I'm mostly concerned that seeing this is going to encourage the elitism that has recently been growing up in the guild, I guess.

I find this depressing.... some pictures from picture threads in this guild were placed in there, when I highly doubt they asked the owner before taking them. That's just common courtesy... even if it wasn't in such a derogatory context, people should be able to control where their face ends up.. however, this is one of the harsh realities of the Internet. Therefore, I think it's good that this community was brought up. Hopefully, we can all take a lesson from this and make sure to be extra careful about posting pictures of ourselves online.
And about taking the high road when this sort of issue comes up. You cannot believe how disappointed I feel right now in the overall Lolita populous. I feel a little ashamed myself that such a place exists where people I considered my counterparts can and do snatch pictures from all over the web and bring them in just to bash them. But there's nothing that can really be done. sad

Yes, and one of the owners or mods actually talked to the owner of the LJ community about their taking our photos. They think really lowly of this whole guild.
And yeah, don't use photo001, photo002 etc as your photobucket file names. They will crack the URL, and so can anyone else.

making the guild private though would not be a bad idea. just b.c i love this guild and dont want it annoyed it.

Some weren't really that bad, I agree. Could use a little guidance, but we all get misguided sometimes. I don't fully understand elitism. Okay, they got a fashion style wrong. Getting a fashion wrong is not like killing puppies or anything.
