((Open for Kami, Ta, Belial, Mastema, Matsai, and Ahaiyuta to post. If you want anyone else to join please ask. :3 No set posting order yet/might not need one?))
-The morning sun rose slowly through the sky as Kami settled herself outside the den mouth. The first day of her new task has passed with oodles of stress and worry, as the new responsiblity was settled upon her shoulders. But now the shock was beginning to slowly fade away, and she was almost excited to see what the day would bring.
Being able to neglect her duties for a day or so was something she already enjoyed. Hopefully she wouldn't make a fool of herself.. and the children would enjoy it too. They were only kids after all.. ((famous last words XD))
Auburn tail twitching gently she waited for the cubs to stir, or atleast make their way outside. Sitting nervously, with her paws settled before her.- -Ahai was awake, had been for quite awhile, simply amusing himself within the den. Or atleast.. amusing himself as best he could with the thoughts of his mother and father nagging at his mind.
Why weren't they back yet? Sure.. it'd only been one day and one night since she left.. He had to be patient or something.. Maybe it was a far walk.
Stomping around the den for lack of better things to do, he searched for his twin through the dim light, wanting to echo his question to his brother. Matsai always seemed to calm him down. Maybe he'd have a few words to still the restlessness growing in the azure cub.-

Having awoken as soon as Kami moved and padded away, Ta let out a large yawned and blinked his weary copper eyes. Glancing around the dens with the other slumbering royalty, he swallowed a moment and pushed to a stand.
It took only a second for him to make his way towards Kami's side, and as he settled right next to her, he looked out at the sunlit lands from atop the rock. Eyes glancing to his love, he moved to nuzzle his cheek to her's softly, a low rumble of purr in greeting while words failed to leave his maw just yet.
Rolling onto his back, Mastema looked at the ceiling as his newly growing mane fell across his forehead and into his eyes. A yawn leaving his maw, he glanced to the side as Ta'Ziyan left the cave, before a very boyish smirk crossed his innocent features. Landing on his belly, he looked to where Ahai was distracted to the side. Crawling on his belly towards his brother who was stomping around, he got a sort of darker smile that he gained from his father, before stopping and curling his toes into the ground.
"Ha!" He whispered quietly, before jumping and missing completly, rolling to the side as Ahai just walked on by.

Belial hadn't even noticed his parent's absence, not out of spite or intentional indifference, just because in his little world there were so many other things that blinded him to what went on outside. Even a shiny pool of water would be enough to spook him for hours, he saw things where there was nothing and could do nothing to halt the frantic visions that came to him awake or asleep. It was for this reason and this reason only that time seemed irrelevant to him, his parents could have been gone for moments or years, he could not tell the difference.
His brown eyes scanned the cave round about him, making out from amidst the shadows of the things-that-were-not, his brothers. He wanted to go over and greet them, say something, but figured the words would come out all wrong and he'd maybe forget on the way what he was doing. So he settled simply for getting to his feet and prowl-walking in his strange way towards the light at the mouth of the cave. He felt better in the daylight and could think clearer than here in the dark with the shadows of those things that were barely present.
He blinked as he walked out, the early morning light seeming to ignite his fur, a regal bearing in the way he carried himself despite the hints of madness that tinged his actions and expressions. He didn't notice Kami for a little while, instead seeming preoccupied with staring at his tailtip with a mixture of shock and awe.

Green eyes watched a matching blue body with the utmost attention, silent and passive where his brother was restless and aggitated. He too was awake, but then, he hadn't slept after their mother had left. There was no reason to, truly. Nothing but nightmares waited for him in sleep.
A grimace twitched Matsai's maw as their golden brother lept at Ahai... and landed on his face. Made him wonder if Mastema had ever fallen on his head as a young cub. The gold tip of the star-marked twin's tail flicked, letting his other half known where he was. Better to distract his brother before he noticed what Mastem had been up to.
A movement to the side drew a flick of his leafy-green eyes. Ah, Belial was awake. That brother was almost stranger than Mastema. His mind was so completey alien... plagued by worse things that what bothered Matsai. Like the way he stared at his own tail... definitely odd.

-Even if she hadn't seen it, Kami would have known that Ta was following. The act was one of habit these days, as she still tended her wounds for the loss of her parents. His familar scent wafted ahead of him, the soft almost silent sound of paw pads, and when he settled beside her she gave him that young and bright smile, delicate purr playing across her throat.- "Morning..."
-A just as familar flush quickly cut anything she'd have continued on to say however, as the sound and bold apperance of her red and white nephew appeared from the cave mouth. And though his attention was obviously elsewhere, the oblivious golden lion curled her tail in soft embarrasment, offering lightly.- "Good morning Belial. Do you.."
"think you'd like to go out and play in the savvanah today? Or maybe we could all go to the wateringhole?"
-The shifting of the air, as Mastema failed to land his point ruffled at Ahai's back legs, just enough to gain his attention. However his eyes had already spotted the golden tail tuft, and the uncordinated cub recieved nothing more then a harmless kick off dust in his direction, and a mild tease knowing it'd more then likely roll off the slower cub.- "Didn't we learn to pounce when we were babies?"
-Padding the last few steps to his twin a soft frown pulled at his maw, one tri-colored paw reaching to paw against it's reflection.- "Why aren't they home yet?"

Copper eyes too following towards the red form, Ta'Ziyan just swallowed lightly, heat flushing to his cheeks as he assumed they would have at least a few moments alone. Ears falling when Kami spoke out, he just let out a sigh and waited for the other to pay attention, murmering softly to himself at the same time just so she could hear.
"I'm sure they would enjoy the savanah, maybe play a few games like we did when we were young...preditor and prey...?" The whisper trailing off, he smiled softly at the memory, before grinning towards Kami, showing no matter what, he would always support her and help her through things, even babysitting.
Just lying there, Mastema settled his face and cheek against the cool stone, eyes keeping upon his eldest brother. Letting out a soft huff, his ears perked at the comment before he mumbled his reply.
"I must have missed that one..." And than, he was up again, looking between where Ahai and Matsai were to where Belial had left. Unsure what to do, he just swallowed and waited, trying to see if he would get snapped at. If so, he knew the hints by now and knew when to leave.
"But..." He added in a perky whisper, an attempt to get back on the good side of things, "...you are really fast, Ahai!"

Belial turned to face Kami as she spoke, the light and fresh air of the outdoors clearing his head of the voices and distractions long enough to permit him a moment of lucidity. He blinked once, almost as if in doing so he blinked reason into them and tugged his maw up into the beginnings of a smile, his tail swishing behind him.
"I'd like that." he said, more coherent than he'd been all day.
But alas, such focus was fleeting and almost as swiftly as his attention had come, it waned again. He lost the clear intelligence of before, replaced by the wild hunted look he wore most of the time. He was able to make enough sense of the situation to not be totally useless but his attention span was short and abrupt. He eyed his brothers slightly confused.
"All of us go? Yes." he grinned.

Matsai huffed softly, his tail flicking again to bring it closer to his body. He ignored their aunt and 'uncle', caring little for them until it came time for food or some other necessity. They couldn't hold a candle to his parents.
Expression blank, but eyes hooded, he thought for a while, struggling to come up with a suitable answer for his twin. "Well... Mrost has wings, and was carrying Kali... But neither Mother nor Father can fly... Perhaps the god simply flew a very long distance, and making the journey take longer." It sounded logical, certainly. It never really crossed his mind that their parents might not be able to catch up, or to wrest their sister from Mrost.
His voice dropped some, low enough that only his twin, and maybe the nearby Mastema, could hear it. "I don't like being left behind, Ahai. Mother should have brought us with, we're big enough not to slow them down, and we could help." A simple statement, but with a lot of weight for the cub that spoke.

"Perhaps so..." -She mused softly, eyes turning to Belial once more as he answered. As of yet she hadn't seemed to get a grasp about his problem.. what troubled him so. And figuring it too rude to simply ask, she simply let it be. But the certainty and seeming pleasure behind his words brought a smile to her maw, and she nodded once more.- "Alright then, once everyone is up and ready to go we'll all head out to play."
-Her tail flipped softly at the thought. She was getting to play nanny. Just as she'd always wanted when she was little.-
"Ha!" -A mild huffing hint of a laugh escaped the cub, bitten off by the amused grin that placed upon his maw.- "I certainly am that."
-The grin however faded as his twin's words sounded.. and instead of soothing his worries like usual, he found a soft nagging in the words. His golden tail tip flicking as he stood statue still, before a grimace crossed his features and he mirrored the sentiment.- "I understand leaving Mastema and Belial.. but why us?"

Mastema seemed inthralled to have gotten that response out of the twin, before he glanced to where Matsai stood as well. Almost wanting to wave his paw in greeting since the other hadn't even took notice of him, he instead studied the boy and just let his ears fall slightly. He knew what they were talking about, even if their hushed whispers didn't make it to his ears. They were talking about their mother and father, and how they both were gone.
Mastema could see the adventure in his brother's eyes, and how it hurt them that their parents left. It might not have been the same hurt Mastema himself felt, but he knew, something small held them close.
It was when he heard leaving and his name as well as Belail that he answered his own question, quite wrongly infact. Padding over with a stupid grin, he joined the conversation and proved justly that evesdropping solved nothing.
"Belial and I aren't leaving, but I think I heard them say something about us going somewhere..." He had indeed been listening outside, and than he jumped a bit, "Come on Ahai, Matsai, they are waiting for us outside!" The words rushing out of him, he seemed to awaken a few other members in the dens and suddenly his ears flattened, and he meekly whispered a few sorrys to them before he looked back to his brothers.

Matsai shrugged gently as he looked out over the land of his birth. "I am not the one to answer that, Ahai. I do now know our mother's reasonings." He held back a sigh as green eyes slitted. "We shall have to ask her when we catch up, won't we?" His gaze slid to his twin, blank as ever. Yes, the idea had occured to him, and he was game, but was his brother? He wouldn't leave on his own, couldn't. Only with Ahai at his side could he hope to travel the great distance it would take to find their parents and join them in battle.
A soft snort left him as his other brother spoke, eyes closed in exasperation. Mastema.... He'd never understand how their parents could have birth such radically different children. "Go ahead, Mastema. Go with them, we'll be just behind you."

-Catch up? His ears twitched with soft interest. Sure he'd been ready and willing to run right after mom as she dissapeared into the dark. But Ahai was too? It was a shame he hadn't mentioned it before. That they'd lost those few days of time inbetween.
Grin sliding across his maw, he disreguarded Mastema's stupid little statement, letting his brother deal with that, as he nodded slowly and softly.- "I think you're quite right Matsai..."
-Eyes flicking to the three at the den mouth, he pondered softly for a moment. Dropping his voice conciously lower, so Mastema wouldn't catch it again.- "We could slip away while we're out 'playing' today.."

((Just bumping this up if anyone wants to continue ^^; ))
Nodding a bit uncertin, the cub-ish brother all but hopped outside and towards the others, skidding to a stop with a large grin directed at all three of the party. Chirping a quick greeting, he wagged his tail before turning back and letting out a whine.
"Ahai and Matsai are inside, they said they would be right behind me...though I don't see them..."
It took a bit of Ta'Ziyan's willpower not to let out a chuckle at the sandy brother's comment, glancing towards Kami to see her reaction. It was nice, just spending time with her and her young nephews. Maybe in the future, they would do the same but with their cubs.
The thought alone sent a heat up to his cheeks and he cut his gaze off, looking out towards the distance to try and distract his thoughts and calm his heart. Maybe the game would help him too.
"We were thinking about going to play today, would you like that Mastema?" He asked once he had calmed his flushed cheeks down. Seeing the eager reply of the youth, he let his grin grow a bit before flashing it to Kami.
