Hey, all. About halfway through the ball it started hitting me how few people were showing up. I mean, I've noticed that this festival has been rather slow and quiet from the start. But that was when it really hit me.

I started moping, and feeling down about this being a flop. I know exactly why, too - preparations were very rushed. Advertising was slim, there wasn't time for me to get all the graphics ready, and I was doing a lot of the preparation while also doing things in an RP plot and in real life at the same time. Some people were talking about how this should be annual and how things will be better next year. Well, that sounded all right to me.

Then, however, designergrl suggested another idea. Why not try again on Valentine's? There's so much more that can be done in a month rather than a week. We accept that this didn't go well, call it a trial run, learn from mistakes and make the next ball go really well.

Events running in this festival will still continue until the 18th.

What do you think? Please give me your thoughts.

And just to make this extra sweet, if we do this... the donations will continue until Valentine's. The highest donators - in gold and in sunflowers - will get even more than just a single 01/07 letter each, as is being offered now. And there may be runner-up prizes for donations.

Are you sure the Zurg will still be here? Or should you have it every Valentines' Day to remember our Gaian-Zurgian peace....

I think even if the Zurg should leave, we should still hold it. I think there will be at least some Zurg who stay on Gaia. And if so, we should not outcast them...

And even if they were all forced out, I think we would want to hold the event anyway - annually. Because this whole event has dimmed the view of the future in some way and brightened it in others.

If we do not stand up for peace, our world will fall into chaos. Period. Peace can only be achieved and maintained through our actions. And they can be achieved and mainted through our actions, as the work of those supporting peace has shown.

So, let's make this a brighter future for everyone. For now and forever.
