Hi there. I know that there really arent that many people on but I have decided even if I end up talking to myself, really, thats ok with me lol. Well, I was just wondering if anyone else was in the same boat as me right now. I have been saying goodbye to a lot of friends. One that was really hard was my friend Ben. He taught me how to march military style, he taught me to salute, he was like a big brother. He is leaving in around three weeks. He has been on active duty for around a month. We were talking and it was really bad. Told me about what he was doing in training and where he was going to do. He told me that he was scared. It was a really hard moment....he had tears in his eyes, his voice was cracking....He was this guy that I always looked up to, took care of me and my friend. He is around 6 years older than us...He has a fiance that he is leaving behind here too. i asked him if where he was going was dangerous..stupid question right? Well, he just shook his head yes and said that he didnt want to think about it. It is getting really hard saying goodbye...seems that it is always goodbye now a days. Anyone else have to say goodbye?

My friend Bobby left already...never actually got to say goodbye to him. Left over a year ago for training. Then was at a base for a while (Navy). Now he was sent to Japan and is going to be sent to Iraq in January.

You cannot judge a country by the acts of a few. Please do not talk bad about my country. I am an American and proud of it.

At least those military that did act alone did not chop those prisoners heads off and let the execution broadcast for everyone to view.

you could've expected this xD
Anyway, I know not all soldiers are that evil, but its the few that make the news that makes the rest look bad.

And our soldiers dont do that as well. Remember what Jesus said, about those other cheeks, just because a few idiotic terrorists decide to cut of heads, does not justify the molesting some of your idiotic soldiers do.

I know it doesnt justify it but you did go there. You started by saying that comment. Also we are helping some of them. The only reason they do point guns is for everyone's safety. That is why they don't shoot. They onlyl shoot when they actually have to. The citizens are excited about it. There are always those that protest. Always. They are the ones that are normally heard. It is the majority who are for it who keep their mouths shut because they are scared of opposition. I do think that them doing the molesting was idiotic. But that was very very few. You cannot judge us, the nation, on that stupid stuff. It is always the bad that makes the media. You cannot go by that.

Yeah they were delt with. They were sent in front of the military courts and were sentenced. I don't remember what they got but one I think got a lesser charge because they took a deal about giving up the others and telling the story. I know they arent in service anymore. I think harsh sentences were given. I was disgusted with it and wanted to smack them upside the head for what they did too.

Cam's right. you shouldn't judge the many based on the actuions of the few (although thats how human's opperate, less than proud to say that i have done that myself many times before) I heard someone saying that they should just nuke the entire country civilians and all... They were saying that all Iraqui people were terrorists and we should kill them all even the ones who didn't live in Iraq anymore.... that made me so mad! the people like that are no better than the terrorists they based their judgement on. The Iraqui civilans are what we're there for. yes to weed out the terrorists, but to also liberate the people and help them set up their own government. I hate it when people think that all middle easterners are bad. i think what we're doing there is good and yes there are some sick freaks out there (there are those in every country) Cam's right, the bad ones always make the media. There could be a huge article about how someone did something bad and then a small one paragraph peice on how a heroic man rushed into a burning building and saved a bunch of children. People want a scandal, they'd prefer a scapegoat to a hero. Humans prefer saying "oh look at that person and their horrible deeds" to "oh that person is a good example let's try to act more like them" people would rather lower someone else to make themselves feel higher than honor a hero. (you see thins in playgrounds all the time) humans suck... lol! (hey i can say that i'm a human!.... mostly... kinda..... *ahem*)
