Hey,
I'm thinking of saving up for a Squier Strat (pack, maybe?)
But I was wondering if there was an equivalent (possibly even cheaper?) that is either equal to or better than a Squier Strat pack.
It has to be in my price range.. Which is anywhere between $200-400 AUS.
So yes.. Thanks ^o^

Spade Sanosuke Ibanez Jumpstart pack Way better than the Squier Strat pack. I'd say it would depend on what you plan to play. But goddamn it, any cheap, serviceable guitar will do until you need the quality to record or play professionally imo.

Eep. Scuse me.
I was thinking of another type of electric.
The one where 4 pegs are on the top, then the other two are down the bottom.. I really didnt like the look of that one ToT
But the Ibanez IJX121 pack looks oh-so temptingly awesome.
Must.. buy..
Must.. get.. a job!! x.x

Just check sites for pre-owned guitars, heck, you can get a Fender Strat for the same price if you look in the right places. I'm not talking about Ebay either lol.

They mustn't be as bad as the one I have now.. >< So.. Why Squiers suck a** 101: 1.)They are normally made from bad wood, sometimes plywood. 2.)Construction is poor, and I've read complaints about necks breaking and frets falling off. 3.)Low quality pickups. 4.)Terrible tuners. The list goes on ladies and gentlemen.

OK, on topic...
I don't know much about the starter packs, but if you're not aiming to get a pack, I can probably help you...
I own, as I stated before, a Squire Strat Affinity. I really enjoy playing it, and I would recommend it if that was what you were looking for.
I also have an Ibanez GAX30, which isn't on the same level as my Affinity. It doesn't have a whammy bar, but is a good guitar anyway. I would also recommend that one, too, if you were looking for a simple, not so fussed up guitar.
Good luck with your new guitar 3nodding

x_ChiChi Mer.. Now I'm confused! whee just go out, play a cheap guitar, i thin kacoutstic is better to learn with, it'll build your endurance and such, plus you can't hear your mistakes as well, electric is just too much money if you do't want to keep playing, for a reason or other
