Has any whilst playing through FF7 ever had any of the charictors skip one of there limit brakes for level 1 or 2 ? an example being my Red IIIX learnt howling moon from level 3 before learning stardust ray from level 2. Barret did something simalar with his level 1-2 limits so im just wondering if this has ever happened to any one else out there ?
EDIT: oh before any mods tell me off if this is in the wrong forum, im not asking for help or advice so i didn't think it belonged in the bigginers hall.

But it hasn't happened to me personally! 3nodding

I have had that happen a few times before. Several times I've had Barret skip Mindblow and go straight to Grenade Bomb. I've never heard anyone else have that problem, nor have I see any documentation on what causes it...

This strange phenomeon has happened to me before. I don't really mind though because once they learn their Level 3 limit break, I can teach them their final one right away (that is, if I have the item).

I know for a fact that one way it can happen is using a Gameshark pro...there are other ways it happens but i do not know them, all I know as a gameshark ws not involved.

ok i looked in to it and as was said earlyer by steam punk i think it has to do with a glitch to do with the actual way you aquire limits.
for example to gain your advanced limit for a level (the second one) you need to use the basic one 6-8 times (roughtly) whare as to reach the next level you need to kill (with said charictor) roughly 60-100 enemys to advance, so if you kill the required amount of enemys before useing the basic limit 6-8 times you will gain the next levels basic limit before the current levels advanced one.
oh and as for level 4 limits (for those who have them) you must learn all 6 (3 for vincent) preivious limits before the charictor will learn their specal limit.

I've seen that happen. It's good for a while, but then you have to go back and learn all the limit breaks you missed, if you want to learn the level four limit break. (Even if you have the item to learn it with, you can't use it until you've learned all the limit breaks.)

Yeah... but I did it on purpose... I heard about it about a year after the game was released. I've done it ever since, considering that the second Limit Break of each level is either more useful to me than the first, or more powerful... So killing the 100 monsters is easy... Although I exploited that a long time ago... I beat hundreds and hundreds of monsters before even leaving Midgar for the first time. Meaning I had all the Limit Breaks (excluding the Level 4's, obviously) before I even fought Rufus. Which was fun.

Does anyone else find that Barrett seems to have Mindblow for absolutely ages, too? I seem to have to use it loads and loads of times before he'll finally learn Grenade Bomb. Grrr...that Barratt Wallace is sooooo stubborn! whee
