Need Help with playing Halo 2

Ok so I sign in right. I go to XBox live and it tells me to sign into my Gamertag account so i do but then after that it tells me that i have to click on Start Account Management or Continue Offline.

I just joined today so no its not expired.

my best guess would be to go to account management and make sure you didnt sign up for a silver account and/or that you 360 is properly connected to the net

Your probably on silver. If your not call 1-800-4my-xbox and they will help you.

Yes just like the others said, you probably got the silver account.

If you got the option of a one month free of X-box live, and you didn't breeze through it, it should've gave you an option of having a gold membership than a silver. I know mine did anyway.

This has happened to me before. I don't know if it's the same problem, but everything you described happened to me.

I've had Gold for months...and have 2 more years of service payed off, so I knew something was wrong. I ended up fixing the problem by unplugging the power to the 360 and my modem and router as well as removing the HD from the 360 for awhile. Put everything back together again and I haven't had a problem since. XD
