Kumo flicked her trio of tails about in an irritable manor, her long claws tapping endlessly upon the floor, while a lowly hiss slipped through her teeth and slid off her forked tongue in distaste.
She was angry, oh so very angry. For the past month she has been pestered by every kit in the household, and was constantly expected to keep watch over the little wretches. Well, she had had it up to here with the lot of them! If she sensed ONE! Kitsusagi nearby, she'd rip its head from its shoulders!
She slumped down onto her belly and began to drift off to sleep when she tasted the scent of a kitsusagi nearby.
"Just wonderful!"
She snapped, before getting to her feet and standing to her full height, which would tower over any regular kitsusagi. A low growl rumbled in her throat at the mere thought of some pesky little kitsu coming in and beginning to chat away, destroying what little bit of piece and quiet she had to look forward to today. Those pathetic excuses of a kitsusagi were damn annoying!

Endless padded through the HQ, looking for a comfortable room where he could read without a great deal of interuption. Things were too loud at home right now. Not that Soot and Atae were causing it... it was the other three, the trio of angelics, and Damerion. It was good for Soot and Atae to have others their own age (more or less) to play with, but all the kit-noise had been too much for him after a while. Ifrit seemed to be enjoying their antics, so Endless had picked up one of his favorite books and decided to head over here. He hadn't actually been inside the Realm HQ in a while.
He peeked into a room and was greeted with a low growl. The room was dark, so it took him a moment to make out the looming shadow within. A Nitemare. He didn't have anything against them, per say, but ever since that incident over at Mountain he'd never been comfortable with them. But her posturing was a bit too much on top of everything else that had been irritating him today, so rather than do the smart thing and leave, he glared at the offending Nitemare (as if she could see it) and muttered just audibly, "...The hell's your problem?"

Kumo snapped her jaws shut and ground her bone like maw, which created a loud crunching noise. Her trio of tails lashing about from behind, while her hackles rose, displayed a rather intimidating sight for any smaller kitsusagi.
A low hiss rolled off her tongue once more, this time sounding like a typical snakes hiss. Barring her teeth, she snarled at Endless and began to step forward, the floor boards creaking beneath her weight. It was obvious that he was not welcome, and that this was most definitely not a good place to read, seeing as it was already inhabited by the nightmare.
Though his voice was barely audible to her ears, she was able to catch the remark he made at her.
"Why.. Haven't you guesssed it alrrready? Yourrr merrre presssence--no--yourrr exissstence is whatsss my prrroblem! You, all of yourrr kind pisss the hell out of me!"
She hissed, slurring her s' and trilling her r's in her sentences. It was obvious that she wasn't just irritated over his presence alone, no, the fact that she had been annoyed already was quite noticeable, and this situation was just like the icing on the cake, it was almost as if she was inviting him so she could rip him apart.

"Don't blame me for whatever bug crawled under your skin, Your Frumpiness. And I couldn't exactly stop my parents from breeding, for all the good it did me when I was abandoned." Endless glowered and then snorted. "And if our kind didn't exist, your kind wouldn't exist either."
He didn't particularly like this conversation, or the attitude of his would-be assailant, so he abruptly turned away and started to pad farther down the hall to find a different room. "Enjoy your lonely poison."

"Looks like they made a smart decision in ditching you then?
But sorry to take your special feature away, your not the only kitsusagi around this joint to have no one to call their blood parents."
She said wryly with a sneer on her face. In his defense it was probably a good thing they abandoned him, he did after all turn out better then most who remained with families who have to live with the decision in whether or not to ditch their offspring. He probably had a lovely little family he could snuggle up too.
"And what makes you think that I wouldn't rather to cease in my existence?
Why, I bet you wouldn't last one day in our cursed paws."
She emphasized the word cursed. To be truthful, perhaps she despised her ancestors for following their foolish curiosities, and thus cursing their offspring in making this mistake. As for the lonely poison, she preferred being alone, if he hadn't already taken the damn hint!

Endless stopped in the hallway. "I know I'm not the only one." He turned around and stood his ground, not that she could see it even if she had eyes because she was still in the room. "And as for being in your cursed paws... I don't like to travel a lot, and I could learn to read brail ((Haihai forgot how to spell that properly methinks)) so I wouldn't really be missing out on anything I deem important."
His next sentence came out almost a sneer. "Your hatred is only hurting YOU, you know. Most people couldn't care less what you think about them. Most people probably don't know you exist." He turned back around, contemplating leaving again. "So go ahead and cease your existence. If you're so damnably fond of the idea I don't know why you haven't done it yet." Not that she'd actually said she was fond of the idea. She'd simply indicated that she might be.

"Oh? Learned to read brail? I'm sorry to say, but sight was not the only sense we were robbed of.
Try living with out the sense of smell, having to taste the air to know what’s around you, and what’s more, our hearing is almost diminished to none! You really think it's as easy as learning to read brail? If we did not have the sense of taste and touch, we would be unable to function completely!"
She said, more in an explanation, then a snarky reply. Her temper was lowering, that was one thing. Perhaps she was just tiring herself out from being so angry?
Perhaps she was hurting herself with loneliness, but if it kept others from pestering her and trying to befriend her, then perhaps it was indeed worth it--in her eyes anyways. Now that she thought about it, the pain wasn't even noticeable until this conversation was brought to the surface, almost as if it was dulled over time. The blade of loneliness wasn't as sharp as it was when it first came back when she first came out of the egg, intact with her bitter personality..
"You seem quite keen on trying to explain that bitterness isn't good for one.. But, do you really think one such as myself cares about these sort of things?"
Her anger was back, slightly, but not at him, it was more out of frustration.. She was confused, these words were causing her to think, and she disliked thinking too much on one thing, it made her head hurt, it made her think of what she should really do with herself. Well, as of right now, she was happy, sort of, with the way she was now, so she thought..
Blasted kit, he's making me think too much!
She wasn't even making sense to herself anymore, and she was probably confusing him as well.. Perhaps it was time she shut her gob and just left him to his bloody reading? Yeah, that sounded good.. But would he leave? Every time he did, he just snapped something back, course, it was mostly because she snapped something in return and he was actually just replying to her.. Ugh, too much thinking again, she was beginning to get a headache.
What a lousy day, would he just leave already!?

"To be honest, I could do without smelling dirty kits and Ifrit's drunken breath. Learning to taste the air might actually be fun." Endless shrugged. "But like I said... I could still read. I'd deal with the rest."
He started walking again at her next comment. "I don't presume to think you care about anything with the attitude you've shown. I'm going to go read now. I'll leave you to your thoughts or whatever it is you were doing."

If her eyes weren't sewn, she would have rolled them. The scents were still similar to that of which they scent with their noses, so even if he disliked the scents around him, he'd still smell them, well taste them anyways, which would probably be more disgusting..
Settling back onto the ground, she coiled her trio of tails around her, and 'stared' into the black void that she saw every day.
"What's your name?"
She asked out of the blue, before he was too far off to hear her voice, not that it would matter if he replied to her or not. The least they could do was get acquainted, yet, she would not apologize for her rude words towards him, that’s something she would never offer to him, or anyone else. Though, why she would bother asking for his name after such a crazed conversation had taken place that was beyond her. He probably thought of her as some weird being that liked to b***h first and then ask names--which was actually true, unfortunately.
And--why are you asking for his name anyways? Didn’t you want him to leave already? Which he is? Stupid kit can’t even make up your damned mind on things.
(( Man, I suck at arguments. XD;; They always turn out so weird. XD;; ))

There was a cushion in the hallway that seemed to be very out of place. Some kit had probably dragged out here playing a game and no one had found it to put it up. Endless shoved it over to the wall and settled down on it, flipping his book open to where his bookmark was sticking out of the pages. "Endless."
Why was she asking his name if she wanted him gone? He must have made an impression of some sort. And why had he settled down in the hall where he could still hear her if he didn't want to talk to her? "What's yours?"

Kumo dragged a blanket up around her, to keep the split ends of the floorboards and nails from jarring her side. With a large silent yawn, she nodded firmly at his reply, even though he was not there to see it. With a twitch of her head and flick of trio of tails she sighed through her nostrils and spoke sharply to Endless, who was now sitting on the opposite side of the wall in the hallway.
"Kumo."
She shrugged lightly and lowered her head to her paws, still keeping her attention to the growing conversation that no longer had snide remarks.
"They gave the name for the supposed marking over my eye that resembles a spider.. And for the web like marks I supposedly have."
She paused for a moment before speaking bluntly.
"What kind of a name is Endless anyways?"

Endless paused his reading and picked his head up slightly so the sound wouldn't get muffled in his book. "A spider and webs?" He mulled over it for a moment. "I suppose they might look like a spider and webs. I wasn't really thinking about it. They're quite bright, anyway. The markings look good on you, whatever they're supposed to be."
He read a couple more lines before answering her question. " An old hobo showed me the ropes for being on my own before he moved on. He didn't exactly think normally, which is probably why he was a hobo in the first place. Called the sky the Endless and called me that too, 'cause my fur looks like the night sky. It's the only name I ever got that I liked so I kept it."

"Really? I haven't noticed.."
She added with her typical sarcastic tone.
"I wouldn't know what the night sky looks like.. You'll have to give a description before I could make a substitute image in my mind of what I think it will look like.."
She said in a slight daze. She had been taught to grasp an idea of what the world looked like with descriptions. Though, things didn't always come up in her mind they way they supposedly looked in reality. How could they without an actual image of the worldly objects?

The lack of sight hadn't slipped by Endless. "Hrm. D'you ever see spots behind your eyelids, or is it just dark? I never really knew if the eyes-sown-shut thing completely killed all visual stimulation or not..." He shrugged and continued, "Anyway... I suppose you know what dark is like. The night sky is dark, except it's got thousands of small points of light scattered through it. Well... more than thousands, but even those of us that can see it can't really make out more than that. It might help to visualize it if you've ever seen spots, but if you haven't... well, maybe it'll help some anyway." That was the most he'd said at once so far. Huh. He went back to reading.

"I suppose you could say I get flashes of light in my eyes from time to time.."
Though, they were always a reddish orange colour, due to being beneath her eyelids and only the brightest of light breached both her eye lids and the stitches that kept her eyes sewn shut.
She clicked her teeth together as she shut her jaw after giving a long yawn. So for her it was almost as if she was always starring into the vast night sky, with the exclusion of the night stars.
"So basically your pelt is the colour of darkness?"
