Well, I watched the Sontaran Experiment today (the DVDs I ordered arrived yesterday and so far I have watch The Genesis of the Daleks and The Sontaran Experiment)
Now, I assume that you have all seen the series three preview, well, y'know those rhinocerous type things? They remind me of Sontarans. Discuss this thought biggrin

I've never seen the Sontarans, so I'm not sure whether they look similar or not. If they are in series three though, that will be cool. I love returning baddies, and it will make a change from Cybermen and Daleks xd Also, it will give me a reason to nag my parents into buy the old episodes on DVD.

Sontarans are a very methodical, military based species. They are human like but have large heads and I think three fingers. Google them biggrin I think it is a very plausible re-make.

That'd be good. The old ones always looked like potatoes.
The BBC needs to expand the monsters they have in the current Doctor Who.

I'd forgotten about Cassandra. She was odd.
The Cybermen need a revamp, they look quite out-dated. Dx

Have you seen the older ones. I much so prefer the current ones. I think the Cybermen are gone for good now. Since their home planet was destroyed and then others sucked in to the void.
Speaking of the void, I thought it was wonderful how they kept the extrapulator in for the christmas special, as it explains why the TARDIS wasnt sucked in to the void biggrin

Here's some more Monsters/Aliens (Mostly from series one):
Krillitanes Ood Gelth Sycorax Reaper Jagrafess (Max!)

I did originally think of the Sontarans when I first saw the photos of the rhio things. If they do bring the Sontarans back I hope they do so in their original potato head form albeit with some cosmetic changes, maybe the rhinos are working for them? The Sontarans do deserve to be brought back though, when I think of DWverse villains I first think of Daleks, then of Cybermen (though I still contest that 60s + 80s cybermen are scarier than the new ones), and the next foe that comes to mind is the Sontarans. They are quite a fearsome enemy in their own right, in The Invasion of Time they actually led an attack on Gallifrey itself! I just hope they use them properly and not like they were used in The Two Doctors. XD (apparently I'm trying to fit as many episode references as possible into one post XD).

Well, we know that the keyword for the next series is Mr. Saxon. Does that seem like a sontaran name?
Also, Mr. Saxon was the name of the person that gave the order to shoot the webstar, if you missed it biggrin
