Winters were harsh on Vivaldi, he could not say he much enjoyed this time of year,
The bitter cold and the cruel snow made it impossible to keep Roses blooming.
Winter was a time for Sleep for his Goddess and her roses, and one of the few times the rose Garden and the Rose shrine was not breath taking.

The once lush bushes of green leaves and blooming roses of all colors, now just looked like dry thorn covered sticks.
Vivaldi sighed and shivered slightly, wishing he had a more close in Shrine this time of year. Even his rose water pond was frozen over.
Curling up in the dormant grass the large Male tried to keep warm, dreaming of the new spring, when he would once again get to tend to his Goddess’ roses. Winters were boring

It was a chill day for a walk, but Asyriel could no longer keep inside. Tossing her violet hair to the wind and holding her wings out to catch the frigid air, the cold-blue Maluess leapt along; not really watching where she was going. She wanted so much to take to the skies and fly far above the clouds, where the wind wouldn't contend with the warmth of the sun.

Finally, the Maluess found herself near the temple with its shrines to all the Gods and Goddesses. She strolled the halls a bit, spending a few quiet moments in awe in front of the shrine to which she hailed; the shrine of the Goddess of Nobility. Taking a curteous bow, Asyriel arose and continued her exploration of the temple. Not far away from it, she noticed a shrine she hadn't seen yet and before it, laying in the dead grass, a stately grey Malu was curled up.

Quietly padding over, Asyriel said quietly, "You'll catch your death lying out here in the wind..." Getting a sense of melancholy from the Malu, her eyebrows creased with concern. "Are you alright?"

somewhere, in the midst of his sulking, and voice spoke to him, it was female, though it did not have the aroma of his Goddess' communication, and nor did it sound like his taken in daughter.
once his frozen mind got around the fact that there was quite possibly an unknown female talking to him he opened his eyes head shooting up off the ground to look at the female

indeed, he had never met her before.
mouth falling open slightly, ears drooping back giving the large male a very timid look.
"ah.. uh..." he stammered awkwardly, not finding the words to say what he needed to.
after a moment of silence he nodded his head furiously "I... I'm just keeping the Roses company" he said in a rather squeaky voice.
he cleared his throat.
"h... who are you?"

Smiling kindly, Asyriel sat nearby the Malu and looked at the shrine a few silent moments in reverence before saying quietly, "There don't seem to be that many roses to keep company with... it's far too cold for them to visit. It's a shame... roses are so beautiful." Fluffing her wings to get some warm air to her back, the Maluess turned to the other of her kind and bowed slightly.

"I do apologize if I was interrupting something, I didn't realize how terribly rude it would have been of me if I was disrupting," she said quietly, a somewhat remorseful look on her face. "I'm Asyriel, of the Goddess of Nobility... again, my apologies. I tend to act without thinking." She was in a complete state of calm, her voice level and soothing as if she had knowledge beyond her young years.

Vivaldi had to admit. he was slightly taken aback by this female.
right off the bat she started to talk about Roses, normal Vivaldi would be uncomfortable around others, unless of course, they talked about roses.
he smiled softly at her words. she spoke so kindly of Roses.
ears perking up a little more, though his face was still turned down in a timid manner.
"ah, n no its quite alright, all are welcome to visit the Rose Shine, i... its just a shame you had to see it while its the Goddess' resting time."
he avoided making eye contact, pretending to find his warm paws very interesting,
"n nobility huh?" he said his smile spreading a little "heh, you would get along well with someone I know." he finished Awkwardly

"I think it's still quite lovely, but She needs rest every now and then too. I don't blame her, working so hard to make so many beautiful flowers bloom every year..." Asyriel smiled with a reminiscent glow in her eyes. She spent hours with her guardian rose-gardening. There had been terraces covered in tiny, white roses and row after row of full, large rosebuds in almost every color.

"Yes, nobility... and I try to get along with everyone as much as I can help it," the Maluess said, tossing her violet hair back behind her matching eyes. She lowered them again to the Malu, who seemed to be staring intently into his paws. "What's your name?"

Vivaldi looked up from his paws, really looking at her. lips separating slightly, her colors, so bright, for many many days he had been living in a dim, dull colored world, he himself, would always live with the dull colors of winter, never to be graced with the vivid color of even one rose, but she, was very blessed to have such beauty painting her.
he blinked his tired eyes a couple of times, ears drooping back slight, though lifting his face up more, in respect.

"I, I'm called Vivaldi" he said gently "can i ask..." he cleared his throat "can i ask your name?"

A sweet smile spread over the Maluess's lips, "That's a beautiful name... Vivaldi." The name rolled off of her well-spoken tongue like a raindrop off of a rose after a summer storm had left its mark on those blushing petals. "Silly, you already have... but I don't mind saying it again. I am Asyriel..."

"... other than the roses' hibernation, is something else wrong? You seem very troubled." She hoped she wasn't observing something wrong. It happened, of course, but she hated when it did.

he blushed, quite embarrassed "ah, I- I apologize, I guess I didn't remember"
he was not surprised her name was as beautiful as her colorings, or her regal temper.

he blinked a couple of times, and looked back at his paws "ah... I'm just.. I'm just not so used to being around others" he admitted in a quiet voice.
then glanced around at the thorned leafless blushes, then at the statue standing in the back of the shrine of his Goddess "its... its been a long time since i'v heard anything from my goddess. Winters are alway hard"

"Quite alright," Asyriel said, getting more comfortable where she sat. She stretched her wings and nodded, her hair falling into her eyes again. This time she let it stay, her long lashes brushing against the tangle-less strands.

"That's a shame; that you aren't used to being around other Malukelb. You seem to be wonderful company so far," she looked at him in a sultry and sweet manner, her lavender eyes like deep pools of melted amethyst. "What does the Goddess say when she speaks to you? Maybe I can help you with something if you need advice? I don't mean to intrude, of course... just offering."

Pawing the cold earth to get the seeping cold out, Asyriel shivered hard suddenly and said, "Just remember, soon enough it will be spring again and everything will be full of life... green and fertile and growing everywhere."

he was touched by this. of all the winters he has lived though, the others genearly avoided the Rose shrine, for it was not considered pleasing to the eyes at this time.
and she sounded like she wanted to help him. she truly was a noble being
"yes... Spring, that is all i hope for" he closed his eyes and tilted his head up "my Goddess will wake up then, and bring her children, who i can them care for once again"
he opens his eyes and lowered his face "I don't know what you could do to help" he said gently "... I uh.. I've always just been by myself around this time. even from my family, though thats my choise"
