Not very many roleplay threads here, so I thought I would make my own. Even if you are not a fan of Dungeons and Dragons, why not give it a try. There is no "story" to D&D overall, since campaigns are made by the Dungeon Master, or DM, so I will make the story to this, as it is my thread. This will be set in Faerun from the Forgotten Realms, so Drizzt Do'Urden, Elminster, Artemis Entrei, Khelben Blackstaff, and others will be included. You don't have to know who they are to play, I will give information if needed. Most characters will be originals, but if you want to play as someone from Faerun, let me know. PM me with this information for your character.

Biography: Born and raised in a small town called Green Lake. Parents died when she was eight. Sarah lived with her friend Dave for six years before she disappeared. Now, four years later, she's running from her past.
Notes: She made up the race. She will give details about them later on. I usually let people make races as long as they don't have too many racial bonuses.

Appearance: Long dark brown hair, about to the middle of my back. Im about 5 ft 8 inches tall. Grey almond shaped eyes. Slender face with a scar on the bottom of my chin(left side) going with the curve of the bone. The scar is about 2 and a half inches long. My body type is slender, but with curves, thanks to my mother.

Starting Equipment: Long Bow, with plenty of arrows. Lock picking set. Basic herbs and other potion ingredients. Climbing claws. Rope. Short spear. Sling. (money will be up to you)

Biography: My mother was human. Her name was Uiari Ryvermen. She was part of the human clan that settled near Moi River, near my fathers home. My mother ran off into the woods one night never to return to that awful place. Her father beat her often, and her mother ran off with a younger man to another town. While my mother was running, she fell into a rivine, and that is when she met my father, Lunes Aldaval. He took her in mainly because she was hurt, and after she healed he would set her on her way. That obvisouly did not happen, and the were joined when she turned to the age of 17. I came along soon after that, and my father tought me many differnt healing potions, and how to defend my self with a bow. Normally it is the mothers place to teach her child basic magic, but as her being human, she could not. He sent me away every summer to his sisters house and I began my studies then. Most looked upon me as a disgrace to the Dark Elves. But when the rest of the female elves started getting taller, and thinner and lankier, the boys gave me thier attention. I had the curves of a human, and thats about all I recieved from my mother, other than my shorter appearance. I never really showed any intrest in any of the local boys either, I knew my destiny was elseware.

Appearance: About 6 Foot. Long Black hair, that is usually work in a knot or ponytail. Green Eyes. Narrow Build.
Starting Equipment: Long bow, quiver of arrows. Map. Compass. Dagger. Healing herbs. Poision. Spear. Rope. Food and water. And a horse that is carrying camping equipment and more herbs and spell books.
Biography: Left the Dark Woods near the orcs, I dont rememeber much. I forgot my past. And I am searching for it. Or maybe it is searching for me.
Notes: Ayla is my gf. we play DnD on weekends a lot.

I leave my fathers home and head north, with my back against the winds blowing from the south. The breeze has a slight stench to it, my guess would be the orcs who live much farther south than these woods. Im not quite sure where I am heading, but I know I have to find my destiny. I know the common deer woods are ahead, there may be hunters there during these hours. I should probably take the long way around the woods, but some erie force is urging me to go into the woods. **** I trek through the deer trails, and crossed many creeks and streams. First I hear a bow string being pulled, I look quickly to my left, and notice an elf getting ready to kill a deer, and I think but I am not sure, but I see another figure, but I can not quite make it out who it is. I decide to stay and keep a eye on these two, maybe they can give me some information on nearby towns, or dangers that may lay ahead.

I look at the elf in front of me. He looks to be around the age of 200 I would guess, much older than me. By his clothing, I would assume that he is a wood elf. And from my experience from other elves outside my fathers clan, I know he must think I am here to cause trouble. "Do not be alarmed, I am not here to cause any problems. And I am sorry that you missed your shot, it is very uncommon for an elf to miss. My name is Skyland, I am passing through these woods in search of nearby towns or villages. Do you know of any place near by where I may lodge?"

He seems to know more about these woods than I do. I should ask to go with him. I don't know if he is running from anyone or not, hell he may even kill me on the way. Yet, if there is something vile out there, it would be better to be with someone than face it alone. Who is that female standing over there, why is she here, I wonder if she is a passerby like my self.
"And who is she, are you travling with her?" I turn a little to look at her. She seems harmless, yet I can feel an auroa about her, I think shes not a fragile as she looks. I cant tell if thats a sword hilt appearing over her sholder or not. She is to far away.
"Daylight is starting to fade, would you mind if i tag along to the next town?"

I arrived at the tavern around 9 pm last night. Hardly anyone was about in this small village. Which is very good for me. Many people start to worry when they see me, a dark elf near by. I try my best not to leave a trail that is easily followed. I know there are a few people who are after me, and I am after a few people. I wonder who lives in this town, what type of people. I know they are humans, but who are they? I know from the smell of the pits that this town is a smithing town. I went into the farthest taven in the west part of town. The one near the woods. When I walked in, I noticed what looked like a few loggers sitting around and having a few drinks. I didnt pay them much attention. I head straight for the barkeep, which in this case was a man and a young human girl. The man was putting away ale mugs in a rack above his head and the girl was sweeping the floor behind the bar.
"Excuse me sir, are there any rooms avaiable for a couple nights stay?
He responds "I do, what business do you have here?" I reply "My sir, I am just travling through, on my way to the elves in the forest way south of here. I am looking for a bed, and a place for my horse. That is all, I wish not to sleep outside for the weather smells of a storm"
He looks as if he doesnt trust me and says "Very well, the room cost 2 gp a night, and the boarding is 1 gp a night, feed included."
He tosses me a key to one of the rooms up stairs and smiles "Its on the left, last door" He whistles for a boy, I presume to be his son to take my horse around back and my things up to my room.

I look over to the wood elf beside me. I wonder why no one is with him, usually, hunters travel in groups.
Silently we walk for about half an hour.
"Thank you for letting me travel with you. Are you currently with a hunting party?" A few moments pass. "Before you think anything of me being a dark elf, please let me explain. My father was a dark elf. He never married till he met my mother who was ran away from her human family. My father saved her life. I am not sure why, it goes against his nature to help a human. But she was young. Anyway, I am my mothers child. As I am sure you can tell, I am half human. And I am trying to discover my human side. I am not sure who her family was, all I have is this locket she gave me and her family name. She died recently and she wanted me to find the humans and tell them who I was, and that she died. My father was devastated. He knew she couldnt live forever, but it was to soon. She died giving birth to my two brothers. That was about a year ago. My father recieves help from other family members for the care of my brothers." A short pause, and a heavy sigh. "I do not wish to blabber on and tell you my life story, but I dont want to seem like the typical dark elf." We continue walking as I await his response.

Sarah looked around and caught a glimps of a wood elf and a girl, who looked slightly like a dark elf and a human. She let out the smallest of sighs and moved behind a tree.
