Restricted role play, for Uumi's immediate family members Only.
Uumi yawned as he shifted on his side, trying to get a few more hours of sleep. Day had come on quickly and it was around noon, the hottest part of the day. His black-tipped tail flicked and his eyes opened to slits. His breathing was deep and relaxed, that is until something put a lot of weight onto his side and he gasped, eyes opening fully. He snarled and lifted his head to turn it. Oh, why now of all time? Azima had lept right onto him.
Azima giggled as he seemed to catch his father off guard. "Got you!" He growled out playfully, his tail flicking back and forth. He was ready to play, and he knew just how to get his father to wake up! "Pops, come play down at the watering hole, will ya?" When Uumi just put his head back down and shut his eyes (one of the easiest ways to get his children to leave him be), Azima scrambled over and gently tugged on his large ear. "Nooo, wake up!" He laughed more.
He grunted and huffed, tossing his head slightly and finally getting up, sending Azima tumbling backwards. "Fine, fine." He said, feeling grouchy. His eyes slid over to the sleeping form of Ari and he pouted. Why couldn't they bug her for a change? "Let's go then.." He leaned down, lightly nipping Azima in a show of playfulness and affection. He did love his kids, really... there were just so many of them!

 La~Laa~Laaa~
Oh what a fine day, so peaceful, so quiet! Perfect enough for a young lady to relax and practise looking cute! She twisted her head this way and that, pouting and blinking and mewing in some of the sweetest manners known to lion. Her reflection mirrored her images even if it was a little fuzzy in the water she was using.
Oh yes, Hababuu believed that you weren't just good at being cute, it had to be in your genes and it had to be practised!
Luckily she was of the mind that her parents were both extremely cute and that she had been blessed with both of their good features.
Paying particular interest to her maroon-shaded eyes the little cub giggled at her next expression: The sad; please forgive me, expression that seemed to work wonders.
It was the sudden noise behind her that startled the juvenile from her practising. "Oh?" She sniffed at the air and caught not only her father's scent but her brother's too.
"Pap!" She mewed and with tail and head held high she swept off to go and see what was going on.

There was nothing Jini enjoyed more than sleep. However, on this particular day, she'd been awake much earlier than usual. The juvenile sat not too far away from her family, watching hundreds of black ants climb in and out of their home.
There was one that she was specifically fond of. He (she'd assumed) was the smallest of the ants she'd seen so far and he scurried around this way and that. Jini swore she'd seen him do a couple of back-flips and other acrobatics. Though, she couldn't be sure.
The sounds of her siblings' and her father's voices caught her attention and, when the insane little ant finally quit moving, she turned towards them.
"Where are you going?" she asked loudly, recalling the bits and pieces she'd heard of their conversation. Excitement was evident in her tone. After all, It wasn't everyday that her family set out on an adventure. At least, recently.

Azima's eyes narrowed and his eyes flickered around. First they landed on Jini and then Haba. He was a little upset, because he was jealous with when he spent time with others. He wanted their dad all to himself right now! But it hadn't been Kea so he felt a little less nervous about it. His twin made him uncomfortable, he strongly believed she'd stollen half of his soul from him and thus this is how she came about! But he'd kept that fear inside of him, he didn't know his father had been a twin. "We're goin' to the watering hole." He said slowly, his voice losing some of it's excitement.
Uumi smiled at his two little girls, his crankiness starting to seep away. "Would you both like to come? It's quite hot out and you two might enjoy the water." Jini was so imaginative and free spirited... Hababuu reminded him a lot of Sye in some ways. All of the cubs were much different from Taabu when he was growing up... but he supposed that was a given. His tail flicked and his eyes flickered toward the sky. Taabu had come out looking so much like Sye that Uumi didn't even realize she could have red pelted cubs. But she had... and Uumi still wasn't sure how he felt about that. He'd been miserable all his life with a red pelt, after all. But it probably wasn't so bad having multiple siblings share the same coat with you. Not to mention Denahi's daughter's cub having the same red. Which was... odd to say the least. Uumi couldn't figure that one out at all.
He shook his mane and came out of his little daze, glancing from both of his little girls and then to Azima.

She beamed up at her father with a face that would melt the hearts of many men to come - when she was older of course - and nodded happily.
"I'll come pap! Water is good for making fur clean and pretty you know." She beamed up at him and moved to wind between her father's forelegs, rubbing against him with a cheerful purr.
Spending time with the family was going to be fun, even better if she got to look beautiful at the same time.

"I'd love to come," Jini nodded exageratedly and nearly tripped over her own feet in her eagerness to catch up with them. They were only a litle ways ahead but, even so, her competitive nature wouldn't rest. She wanted to be in the lead- or, at the very least, beside them as they walked.
"Sometimes, water makes mud," she glanced curiously at her sister, incapable of comprehending why anybody would want to be clean when rolling around in the dirt was so much more fun.
It just didn't make sense to her.

He blinked and looked sideways at Haba. He looked back over to Jini. Why were they talking about water did and did not make? "Who cares if it makes you clean or muddy. It's fun to play in and cools you off." And besides, he was prettier than Haba and Jini anyways.
They got to the watering hole fairly quickly and Azima got a devilish grin on his face. "Last one in has to swim to the middle!" And with that he raced towards the water. Oh Cubhood.
Uumi shook his head softly, he could see that Azima had his temper. Some of it anyways. He might even have Sye's temper mixed in, which was much scarier. "Yes but you really want to watch out for what water loves to make, it's water's specialty." He murmered, teasing them a little.
"It breeds under the surface the Ophochio, trust me you never want to see one of these." He sat down a little ways from the water, he could still watch them perfectly and manage to stay dry. "Oh, they love the middle of the water!" He called as Azima raced off.

She sniffed at her sister and gave a small shrug. "If there's mud today then I won't go in. Simple." She replied to her sister and with a high pitched 'squee' the little princess dashed off after Azima.
"You cheated~" She sang as she gave chase. A lady she might have been but she was also competitive. That didn't mean she was very atheletic though.
She'd probably be last in but she decided it didn't matter too much. She'd just wrestle her silly brother and make sure he didn't cheat again. No one got the better of her and lived with it!

"Mud's more fun then being clean," Jini said simply, looking from Azima to Haba as though it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Poor Jini was left in her sibling's dust with her jaw hanging open, staring after them in surprise. That had been highly unexpected. The cub squeaked and and hurried to catch up with them- determined not to be last. The odds didn't look like they'd be in her favor at all.
"No Ophochio could scare me," she announced boldly as she approached the edge of the watering hole. She struggled to get her breathing under control.

Damu'Jicho had decided to nap some distance away from the rest of his family. This, of course, was quite normal for the young lion. He tended to wander off quite frequently, and he always seemed sullen and quiet when around anyone. Except his twin, Hababuu. Unlike his sibling Azima, Damu believed Habu was an extension of his soul; two parts that would always fit together perfectly, no matter how different the cubs might be. He treasured his twin above all others. This was why his first reaction was always to find her.
Rolling onto his back, he let the sun warm his light-furred belly a moment before his eyes lazily opened. Pawing at the perfect blue sky, he yawned wide and let his nose inhale the swet perfume of the afternoon air. Yet something was different. Habu's smell was very faint. Twisting to his paws, his ears stretched as far forward as his could, his eyes held wide, his black nose flared to smell everything. He called out faintly, "Habu?"
Taking a few steps forward, his call grew more aggressive. "Habu!" He ran forward, following his sister's faint scent until it grew stronger. His anxious path brought him to the bank of the watering hole - on the opposite side of his family. An expression of extreme relief swept over his face as he saw his twin, yet it was soon replaced with the faintest of growls. For, you see, Damu had a great deal of a problem when it came to sharing his sister. Even with his family.
Head lowered evenly with his spine, his tail shifted back and forth as he began a slow, almost moody journey to the side where his siblings and father played.

As his father's words penitrated his mind he came to a stumbling stop, glancing back at him to see if he was being serious or not. "Don't lie!" He said in a nasty voice, as if that would make him less nervous of going into the water. He peered sideways at Jini and shut his eyes for a moment. "I'm not afraid either... but you should go in first Jini!" And with an extended paw he gave her a little push.
He gave a devilish smirk and glanced around, the smile falling off of his face. He smelt someone else... Damu. Damu and Haba, together, skeeved and sickened him just as much as his own twin did. Twins were disgusting, period. And he didn't like being one! He shuddered and just stared at Damu, frowning. It was okay having Damu around when he was by himself... or having Habu alone when she was by herself. But both of them together just drew attention that one of them was a soul stealer! Just like his twin.
Uumi just chuckled softly to himself, shaking his head. "Azima, be nice." He warned before laying himself down. His eyes followed Damu for a moment and he frowned softly, though it was in concern. Both of his twins were odd. One set usually together and one set usually apart, it was a little sad.

"You're a big scaredy-cat Azima." Hababuu retorted, moving past him and flicking her tail-tuft irritably in his face. "I'll show you there's nothing to fear--" Or she would have if that moment she hadn't seen Damu arrive.
Staring at him was like looking at another half of herself. She too believed that twins were a beautiful miracle. They shared he same soul, the same appearance, they shared everything and yet they were two. The concept was strange but she loved it none-the-less.
"Ji-Ji!" She called, her brother's new nickname playing on her tongue. "There you are!" She sped off towards him at full speed, bouncing around to his side and nudging at his shoulder with her nose. She had indeed noticed his moodiness but chose to ignore it.
"Smile Ji-Ji." She whispered into his ear playfully. "There's nothing to be grumpy about when we're together, right?"

Jini cried out in alarm when Azima's unexpected push caused her to stumble into the water. It was slippery here- more rocky than it was dirt and the poor cub was finding it harder to regain her balance than she would ever like to admit.
"That wasn't fair," she whined pathetically and attempted to scramble out of the water (Jini wasn't losing her tail to some Ophochio!) but, unfortunately, the haughty cub lost her footing and fell face-first into the water.
Wait a minute- Waitjustaminute
She could have sworn that something had just bitten her tail.
Water filled her little nostrils and the unfamilar feel of the liquid surroundingher face was overwhelming. Jini spluttered and coughed for a few terrifying moments, imagination running wild with images of the elusive Ophocio. It was a three-headed sea creature with teeth and a jaw as strong as fifty lions; she was positive.
Finally, after she'd calmed down enough to collect herself, Jini, wide-eyed and freezing, stood up on a pair of shaking legs and scrambled onto dry land.
"Something bit me!" she cried, momentarily unconcerned with Damu's arrival. Right now, her tail was so much more important. Nevermind that it was in perfect condition.
((Oh. My little drama queen and her imagination. <3))

Damu's eyes had shifted to the ground as we walked along the muddy banks. It was a habit he'd recently picked up - watching his own paws walk, as if he was scared that leaving them without observation for even a moment might result in tumbling into some sort of great abyss. If anything, when Haba and Damu's soul had seperated in the womb to create two lives, they had each taken with them one side of the spectrum. Whre Haba was an adorable social butterly, Damu was cynical and prone to a vicious temper. The only time he ever showed anything different was when he was alone with his twin.
He glanced up to the call of one of his many nicknames. Seeing his sister run to greet him, the faintest hint of a smile took over his blank expression. His nose pressed against her forehead as soon as she was in reach. For a few moments at least, it seemed he felt worlds better. "You're right. I'll smile just for you."
And while he may not have seemed entirely like a barrel of sunshine, it at least appeared the the storm cloud over his head had lifted. Continuing to where the rest of his family was, he set his rump on the ground, raising an eyebrow at Jini. His voice, monotone and emotionless as always, crept out. "Nothing bit you, Jini. Stop trying to be the center of attention."
Such a nice brother.

"I'm no-!" but he cut off as she seemed to lose interest, heading away. Stupid soul stealer, he'd hit her in the face next time she said anything like that. Obviously Azima was rather cranky.
He moved toward Jini, eyes flickering towards the water. "Was it the Ophochio?" He sounded sickenly hopeful that it was the sea monster, maybe he could get it to eat a few people!
Uumi let his eyes half shut, his gaze lingering on the one set of twins present. It got him thinking about his twin. He shoved that away and looked toward Jini. "Are you sure something bit you, Ji?"
