I was an ebay and there is this store selling brand new 2007 5 string bass for 80 dolars with free shipping. some might have shipping. But if you have a birthday coming up or you have the money and you want a 5 string here's the deal of a life time. I believe it's a sale so hury up, I could be wrong though. There are different color's you'll just have to look around. Thought i'd let you guy's know. Oh, and I dont mean to sound like an advitiser.
here's the link.

Ahh. It's a no name brand, though. It's quality..looks a little poor, and it doesn't really offer much in the way of specs. I'd save my money.

I dont like it personally. Perhaps if you replaced those pickups and did a bit of fine work on the bridge and stuff, it could be cool, but not to great...

Closest find I could get to that bass
The specs for that one are... Quote: Body: Mahogany Neck: Maple Neck Join: Bolt-On Fingerboard: Rosewood Inlays: Abalone Dots Hardware: Chrome Pickups: Bass Pickups Bridge/Tailpiece: Adjustable Finish: Trans Black (TBK), Trans Cherry (TR), Satin Black (TB), Trans Amber (TA) Natural (NA) And the other bass was... Quote: 5 String electric bass 2 1.35' x 4.10' covered pick ups 2 3/4' Volume knobs 2 3/4' Tone knobs 24 Jumbo Nickel Frets Rosewood fretboard Maple bolt-on neck All Black hardware Black painted headstock Adjustable Truss rod w/cover 1.75' wide at nut 2.35' wide at 12th fret 1.60' Body thickness 45.25' overall length 13.5' overall width Sealed tuners They DO match up... So I think that might be another model of the one being advertised. On top of that... Why dosnt the poll have an option for, hell yeah im gonna buy it?

the rondomusic ones we're all 4 string's. but for a cheap bass to beat on for awhile. I think that one was a good choice. I really wanted a musicman but way to expensive and i need money for an amp ( 10 watt's are lame). So I was going to buy a cheap bass and get a good amp. and then if I don't like the sound, I would swap pickups. plus I want a wah pedal with distortion, (refer to metallica bass solo topic).
I messed up with the pole, the question was supposed to be one of the answer's.....sorry.

I messed up with the pole, the question was supposed to be one of the answer's.....sorry. From my experience you should purchase a pedal that has multi effects. That way when you need more, you have a ton of abilities. I currently own a Boss Me-50B with a BP-80 from Digitech. I get a strong delay, wah, drive, and tons of other features with that combo. And you shouldnt ever get a 10 Watt amp unless it was souly for practice purposes. If it was easy to carry, it would be fine, but you should shoot for something with MUCH more wattage. Dont ever think that getting a cheap bass is a good answer either. The bass IS your tone. Go to music stores, and try out ALL of the basses they have, then go to another and do the same thing. Do the same with all the amps to. This will give you a good feel for what brand sounds like what, and how well each amp works.

This will give you a good feel for what brand sounds like what, and how well each amp works. well, I don't have a source of income right now, ( I will soon since it's almost my birthday) so I was looking for something cheap that looked good and I could replace the pickups if I didn't like how it sounds. so as soon as I get a better amp, I'm saving up for a musicman (either sub or stingray). but I have to get the pedal first, I've been looking at some multi-effect's pedal. I tried my uncles and I didn't like sounding like a guitar lol.

Do the same with all the amps to. This will give you a good feel for what brand sounds like what, and how well each amp works. Both of those models have built in preamps that bypass the preamp in your amp... so it's not the tone of your amp coming through... it's the sound of the pedal board... the only pedal board that I know of right now with out a preamp is the new rocktron... if you're getting effects like delay, flange, chorus, ect.... go with a processor and midi pedal... it's clean and, depending on what kind you get, does not screw with the actual sound of the amp... oh, and Tone comes from the fingers... the bass is the second place it comes from... wood, frets ect... then the pickups and preamp... you could get 1,000 people to play the same bass with the same amp settings and it would sound different with each player...
