Hello, everyone! I'm Helianthus annuus, official mule of the upcoming Peace Festival. This is an informative announcement for those who don't know what that is.

The Peace Festival is a celebration of peace between the Gaians and Zurg. Sunflowers were adopted as the symbol of supporters of peace, and so they have become the theme of the festival. Gaia Unlimited has agreed to host the event.

The idea for this was first thought up by the4bodingdawn. Evil Pepper, Dalvar and Pie are working as the event coordinators to make this idea into a realtiy.

We hope to make this event as fun as possible. The main event of the festival will be The Sunflower Ball on January 15th. We will also be holding contests and be giving away as many bouquets as we can, and hopefully other prizes as well.

If you have any questions about the event itself, I will do my best to answer them in this thread. Other threads will be posted shortly for specific parts of the festival preparations, including setting up the schedule of events and volunteer sign-ups.

This is going to be AWESOME! Some other Ideas for things to do to celebrate peace...

1. Do random acts of kindness for people you don't know. (Draw for them buy them something or donate etc.)

2. a sit in in towns

4. Meet and greet the Newbs

5. Have Bouquet give-a-ways

6. Randomly send people flowers and a note of peace

7. A peace song sing a long thread

Well, I've been doing most of the artwork for the invitations, banners, staff cards - but more advertising would definitely help. We need to get the word out if we want this festival to be a success!

The peace song gives me an idea heart

Everyone could write two lines that have to rhyme (Mmmmmmm rhyming couplets) and they have to be about peace.... and it could be our hippie love/peace song XD
