Yes! It's finally official, this is the planning thread for the Fa'e Newsletter!
Please feel free to post your ideas here for topics, articles, staff possition (and yes there are tons of openings), persons of note, anything you think should be included!
UPDATE!!!!!
Ok! Since there seems to be some confusion the cost of the letter would only be about $.50 a month, just enough to cover paper and postage. that's it.
There's alos a Mysterious Lurker who's been hiding around HQ, finding out everything they can about the fa'e. Though this lurker is benevolent no one's really sure who it is. eek
There are some definate things that'll go up, here's what I've got so far:
~"Ask -----" column x
~Fan Art Section
~Fa'e of the Month (male and female)
~Guardian of the Month x
~Gaian Crossword
UPDATE: The first printing to be mailed is scheduled for the 10th of February. All writers need to PM their articles/writings to Zero Dream for formatting before the 7th please!

A comic? ^^ Maybe a column on Love Relationships, another on recent Updates, maybe something saying that some people aren't gonna be here for a while, coming up birthdays, all things that are in newspapers. Maybe have a list of all of some of the questers, too?

A comic would be fun! XD Maybe there could be an "Ask So-and-so" column, where people could write in to get answers to everything they wanted to know about the Fa'e and didn't want to know about the Fa'e. ^__^;;

Maybe have some of the fa'e themselves write columns? Like having Kia write a fashion column.

A fanart section would be nice. Hm...and you could hire artists for different newsletters, like a rotation sort of thing. They could do cover type things and little sketches all over. Then again, that might be a bit of a printing tax... xd ; B/W?

And Drac, any way I can help I'd be happy to. Can't think of any specific jobs to ask for wink
Edit: And, on the note of rotation. Perhaps the newsletter could have a Fa'e of the Month section? smile Or have the magazine simply modeled each month after a different Fa'e.

I honestly couldn't pay, I don't think. Being 14, I'm can't, uh, exactly get a job. I don't get an allowance. My parents don't believe in allowances. I never mooch money off my parents. That is just something you do not do in this household. Not at all. And uh...I could possibly starve myself, and just use my lunch money to pay. XP;
Comics sound like a good idea! And maybe an article section? With all sorts of stuff, and...and...I don't know. @@;

I'm in agreement of all the ideas here; the fanart sections, news and updates and advice columns and such. They're all very typical newspaper sections and seem to work very well 3nodding
Um, er... I could stick Fa'e theater for this *finger push* they're usually of a comical happening in the Fa'e HQ .. o_o;;

Fa'e/Gaia related crossword puzzle would be fun. Updates on events, such as the Halloween and Christmas sort of things maybe?
Edit: Course that depends on how often this will be sent out.

These are all great ideas guys! And Wotcher you get to be the first victim of the newsletter's offical "Mysterious Lurker". This mysterious individual knows ALL that goes on around HQ and I'm not kidding! The Mysterious Lurker has already PMed me and told me that your postage was covered. 3nodding

But I guess it depends on how much. Any idea on that yet ?
OH ! And im studying in infography... I've gotten some QuarkXpress classes. I could take the journal and make it like an actual magazine, then shoot the whole thing back as a .pdf for you to print. :3

Ooo, this is a great idea! I'd love to help out with arts and stuffs if it's desired ^__^ I'll see if I can bug my parents into letting me pay for it, they're a little iffy about me spending my money.. bleh. x_X;
