LOOKS : It’s easy to tell that Alessa gets her looks from her Russian side. Her hair is naturally a kind of honey brown, and her eyes are hazel. She has a fair complexion (and tans very easily), and long willowy limbs. Alessa’s got amazing legs and she knows it. She tends to dress with the latest trends, though she sometimes looks like she’s always ready to hit the club and party. Her hair comes down to mid-back, and she stands at about 5’9” weighing a questionably unhealthy 130 pounds.

PERSONALITY : Alessa does not take crap from anyone. It’s not that she has a problem with authority or anything, in fact, she’s very good at following orders. Provided they’re given by the right person. It doesn’t really help that she’s so full of self-confidence that it comes off as arrogance. She also seems a bit spoiled at times, and sometimes comes off as having a short temper. As a designer, she has a very good reputation for being easy to work with and a relatively high rate of customer satisfaction (though how much of this is skewed by her covering up not happy customers is unknown).

Other than that, she’s extremely laid-back and doesn’t really like having to do work (though she enjoys sewing), but if it’s something that bugs her, you bet she is going to do something to fix it! Ideal day consists of sleeping in, working on a few designs, relaxing in Durem and catching up on gossip, and going to bed. Every now and then, Alessa rents out a small summer house in Gambino and spends her summer at the beach.

HISTORY : Alessa’s father is Russian, her mother Italian. Interestingly enough, she was born in Sweden and grew up constantly moving back and forth between Italy and Russia. Raised an only child, she found out on her 16th birthday that her mother was the niece of a Mafioso boss and a once-legendary informant. She was somewhat disappointed to find her dad was just a normal guy with no crazy epic secret backstory. Speaking of her parents, her mom was a stay-at-home mom and her dad was a businessman. Alessa really enjoyed living in Italy in the beautiful countryside during spring and summer, but also loved Russia during the fall and winter. At some point before she graduated from grad school (no one but her immediate family knows what she majored in) she became a mafia informant, and spent a few years as a neutral source. During this time, she came to be known as “Principessa”*, in lieu of her parentage. Alessa eventually moved to Durem, and is currently under the protection of the Parrino** family thanks to her great-Uncle.

* "principessa" is Italian for princess
** "Parrino" means "godfather".......if you're thinking the movie you're right on track!

Leanan Sidhe

In Celtic folklore, the Irish leanan sídhe (Scottish Gaelic, liannan shìth , sometimes spelled Lianhan Sidhe or Leanhaun Shee) is a beautiful woman of the Aos Sí (or fairy folk) who takes a human lover. Lovers of the leanan sídhe are said to live brief, though highly inspired, lives.

The leanan sídhe is generally depicted as a beautiful muse, who offers inspiration to an artist in exchange for fame and glory; however, this exchange frequently results in madness for the artist, and often premature death. W. B. Yeats popularized a slightly different perspective on these spirits with emphasis on their vampiric tendencies, a feature also shared by the Manx analogue the Lhiannan Shee.

They seek the love of mortals. If they refuse, she must be their slave; if they consent, they are hers, and can only escape by finding another to take their place. The fairy lives on their life, and they waste away. Death is no escape from her.

The name comes from the Gaelic word "leannan", a sweetheart, concubine, or favourite. Also, Sídhe, "of the fairy mounds".

Brass

Meant to go with the Sensual Vapors essence, I think a metal would go well with something so .....well, arousing, if I may? Brass is also very easy to work with, and to be honest? It definately has the color to go with the essence. Well, in my opinion anyways.

Cheshire Cat

Meant to go with the Star Crumbs essence. Because the Cheshire Cat is my favorite character from Alice in Wonderland, and with the Raevans having their cores made up of fel essences, what better to go with it than the Cheshire Cat himself?!

Cost
Well, according to the FAQ, a semi-custom costs at least a Devil Tail, while flatsales are 20k.

Very beautiful idea, Peachy! I could see your concept Raevan getting along well or possibly rivaling with Aki Ana's Melisande. Would the lullaby be a sad or happy one? Usually when one thinks of rain, the automatic default response is sad and somber, but I think happy memories can happen in the rain as well. Since it's a lullaby, it would be a soothing tune for children, but I wonder if it would affect the maturity of your girl? She could possibly be like Peter Pan, eternally childlike and unaging.
