Have any of you had an experience with Bigfoot?
My dad had one in October..... We have a cabin in the woods close to where the Patterson film was filmed...we didn't realize that until about a week later.
Well my dad had went to our cabin by himself for the weekend to go hunting. He had called my mom while it was happening but when he came home on Sunday he told me what had happened. But before I tell you all what happened I just want to let you all know that my dad isn't one who gets freaked out easily...at all.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
My dad had went and gotten his fire all ready and he was standing next to it and he heard movement in the brush, he looked to see what it was and he said that it looked like a shadow moved into the darkness. That happened twice I believe. Then he made his dinner and went in the cabin to eat. While he was eating he kept hearing something move around the cabin then he heard what sounded like something had grabbed two dried tree limbs and was smacking them together. When this was happening he called my mom and told her what was going on. Later on he went and laid down got ready to go to sleep. While he was laying there something was circling the cabin and then it started to throw pebbles at the cabin wall. My dad said it almost sounded as if it was "skipping rocks" because he heard them hit the ground then hit the wall. He doesn't know if it stopped or he fell asleep first.
My dad never really watched the bigfoot documentries or anything and we watched one about a week later and it was saying how they hit branches together, throw rocks, and whoop. My dad got really freaked out because they almost described what had happened to him with the rocks and branches. But my dad has a lot of knowledge about wildlife and he says that he can't think of ANYTHING that it could have been besides well a big foot.

Interesting. I, for one, believe that the big hairy fellow is floating around somewhere. There are too many accounts from isolated areas to disbelieve it entirely. The Yowie, Yeti, Bigfoot, Alma, Sasquatch, Swamp Bear...all of these bear remarkable similarities, despite being from various places around the world.
I heard on fringe theory that they may actually be Tulpas, or living thought forms, created from a primitive, instinctual fear of some kind of big, hairy predator.

its very possable that some neanderthals survived and that there are very small populations hidden around. and they could have just evoled to be a bit hairyer you know in the first olympics they had neanderthals come down from the mountains and compete eek

I believe in it. Too many sightings around the world for there not to be one. I saw something from the Discovery Channel about it. They even proved that it's possible for us not to find remains after they die-or at least not know what it is when we find it.
They took a full grown deer that had been hit by a car and put it out in the woods with a video camera on it. It took the entire deer about a week to be nothing more than bones half hidden by leaves, and you couldn't tell what it had been before.

I Believe in Bigfoot.MY grandma told me a story one time about her being chased by big foot when she lived close to the woods. She said she was pregnant at the time and she never ran so fast in her life before and her brothers,my great uncle said it was true that he ran himself because he wasn't stopping to come face to face with it.

I had an experience that could be considered a bigfoot encounter. Two friends and I were in the woods behind one of my friends' house after dark on a summer evening. We were intentionally working on being quiet and being unnoticed.
Then we began to hear sounds like something large moving through the brush, much like what we sounded like, except none of us were moving. Deciding it was a good idea to get out of there, we began making our way back up the cleared path to my friend's house when I (we?) looked back and saw a large shadow. Everyone was effectively freaked out, so we got the hell out of there and made sure we weren't followed.
I can't say for sure what it was, but I live in Kentucky and bears aren't common in this area. It could have been the land owner, but that seems unlikely. I'll probably never know, but I know for certain that I felt very threatened. Full-on fight or flight response was in effect.
