Anyone else interested in Ted, who first appeared in the original Suikoden? Personally, I wish his story was a little more detailed. I thought he was a cool character from the beginning, and when he passed on the rune, I was a bit disappointed he died so early. However, when I played through IV, I hadn't been looking at any guides, so when I got to the ghost ship thing and the cloaked figure was actually Ted...GOD. That struck me as amazing, I wasn't expecting it at all. Easily one of the coolest Suikoden moments for me.

So, do you guys wish Ted's story was a little bigger? The fact that he was in IV was cool, but...That still didn't explain much about his past.

Same here, I was a little miffed thinking his story was over in the first game. But when I saw him again in IV, I had a fangirl moment (I about did a dance when he pulls off that cloak and reveals his face, although I did have my suspicions with the opening), and insisted having him in my party from the time I recruited him until the final battle (much to his disdain, I'm sure). It was great seeing him again, and finding out more about his story. I'd have loved to see a bit more of him, though, and have it explain a little bit more about his past before the Fog Ship.

Ted was awesome in the first Suikoden. You can't argue with that. Then Suikoden IV (which is love) came along and gave us emo!Ted, I was so hype. It was just about the coolest thing. And then Aldo came along and made Ted about five times cooler.

The boy lived 300 years. His past couldn't have been that interesting [/sarcasm]

The next Suikogaiden is starring Ted. I put money on it.

Although I doubt that, that'd be pretty damn cool if he was a main character.

Well he did have kind of an attitude in the first game. Remember that scene with Futch.

But yeah, the soul eater is something that destroys you. You either must distance yourself from the people you care about or stop caring so much.

except for the very few and very lucky like Tir

Well, yeah. Ted is very mysterious in a way and in Suikoden I, you kind of want to know more about it. But I get that for a lot of characters in the first Suikoden, maybe it was just how it was presented. I hope to see him again in the future, hopefully having more detail on his past.

I love Ted. heart I want to see more of him, too. I feel so bad for him. crying We really didn't find out much of his past. I was so happy to see him in 4, though I already knew he was going to be there.

...What? No. No. Ted is dead. Dead forever. He was eaten by the Souleater. He's stuck in there forever. There is no way to revive Ted. He's not alive, he... he... yes... YES! He... he's passed on! Ted is no more! He has ceased to be! He's expired and gone to join his friends in the Souleater! He's a stiff! Bereft of life, he rests in peace! If his body hadn't disappeared he'd be pushing up the daisies! His metabolic processes are now history! He's off the twig! He's kicked the bucket, shuffled off his mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' Choir Invisible! HE IS AN EX-TENKAN!
