“Ausi... please stop crying.”

*Her father begged her as she sobbed onto his mane. Her face was pressed tightly against him as the large male did the best he could to comfort her. She told him everything, why she left, what had happened and what she had lost. It shocked him, and hurt him to hear such a story come from one of his own. Such a sad story of love and loss... he left like he too would start to cry if she continued on. She was his baby; he was the one that should have been protecting her... maybe if he had been a better father none of this would have happened. Shifting himself to that he could better nuzzle her he sighed and spoke.*

“My poor child.”

*She couldn’t do anything but cry right now. Everything she felt was turned into tears and hidden within her father’s mane. She nuzzled herself against him and just let herself go. She didn’t want to seem useless, but right now she felt the part.*

“I am sorry...”

*She managed to say before moving herself away from him. She sat herself down a few feet and started to knock off her tears. Her face was so dull now, not even her smile could fix things... not right now.*

“Do not say that... you didn’t do anything wrong. I wasn’t a good enough father for you and your sister; because of me we lost out land and your mother left... I did you all wrong, never feel like you did anything to make our life the way it is right now. You are the child, I am the adult, and It was my job to protect you all.”

“No. I am not a child any more, father! I am not... you can not take the blame for my actions, not anymore. I am grown up now, I can take care of myself, and I have always been good at it... but... I just messed up this time, and it hurts- it hurts that I lost him.”

“He isn’t good enough for you! He never was! That no good... he hurt you over and over, tell me now, do you really love someone that goes out of his way to hut you?”

“He doesn’t! He doesn’t go out of his way to do anything!”

*She yelled back at him in frustration.*

“He doesn’t... do anything...”

*Akamu’s eyes narrowed as his daughter took herself from him and went to rest. He was just so lost right now. What could he do?*

A good rinse at a nearby watering hole was what Sevati needed. It took a long, long time to get the stained blood from her white pelt. A long process to scrub and rinse, and many times she felt it was useless to get it off...that she'd be stained forever. Finally after she felt it was good enough did she turn her attention back towards Ravi, watching him carefully. They were both still scarred, though Ravi was still worse off than she was. He was healing, which was a good thing.

Tredding closer to the male, she gave him a small smile, "You're looking better. We should head back before Daddy worries about us."

The water was a welcomed relief to the stiff pain that Ravi was felling. The wounds he had received were healing, though the ones on his face were still fresh and would take a long time to heal. It did hurt to open his one eye, but he tried to keep it open as much as possible because he wanted to see everything around him. As he lapped up water quietly, Sevi's voice slowly drifted to him as he flicked an ear her way. Raising his head slightly, he replied, "I think he would worry more about you than me, Sevati." Though, they have been gone for quite a little while now, it was a surprise that her father had not gone searching for them period.

"Let's go back then, I'm done here anyways."

Sticking her tongue out at the male, she couldn't help but giggle at him. "That's not true, don't say such a thing!" Chiding him gently before heading back in the direction they had come.

They closer they got to where they had left her father, the stronger the sound of voices became. But voices? That meant that there was more than one lion here...who was here? It couldn't be anyone her father didn't approve of because there were no yelling or anything of that sort. But no sooner had she thought that did a familiar scent come into play. A cold, bitter dread spread through her body as her pace slowed down dramatically. There was no stranger here, the other voice was her sister. The very sister that left her for her friend.

Eyes narrowed slightly before they widen with the impact against Ravi. She had completely forgotten that he was following her! "We need to leave, we don't need to go back so soon." She said quickly, spotting the two figures not too far off in the distance and trying to think of a way to avoid her sister.

Following at a nice pace behind her, his limping was getting better with each passing day and finding himself more able to keep up with her and her father. Though, his golden eyes did notice that change in her body language as a strange scent filled his senses. He did not recognize the scent but apparently she did.

With her bump into him, he winced at the slight pain before nudging her gently, "Sevati, what's wrong? I thought you wanted to go back?" This was odd. First she wanted to head back, but now she didn't...who was she avoiding? He nudged her forward as he spotted two figures in the distance, one was her father and the other he did not recognize but he knew that Sevati did.

*Akamu’s eyes turned as he looked away from Ausi and gazed off into the distance. As he did this he noticed his youngest daughter and her… male friend approaching. With a soft smile he called out.*

“Sevi! Come here please, I need your help with something...”

*He was in need of help, BADLY. His green eyes gazed back at Ausi as he sighed and moved himself over. He wanted them to talk; they knew how to get along-- they needed to. He wouldn’t have his cubs hate one another for nothing, and especially not during a time like this.*

*As her father called out to her sister Ausi felt her heart sink in just a little deeper. They didn’t get along, and now Sevi would be able to guilt her again. She didn’t need to feel bad, she wanted to feel better! Why did she have to come now?

The last time they spoke all that came out of it was the ending of the friendship they had. What made her father think she would be able to be forgiven so easily? Her blue eyes shut tightly as she gazed at her paws and softly mewed.

What was Fedha doing right now?- and how would she take the news... that Ausi had been heavy with a cub and lost it? This wasn’t going to be easy.*

Ravi's nudge did not go unnoticed as she turned back towards him to stare. Mumbling roughly, "That's my sister who left me." Seeing Ausi was the last thing Sevati wanted to do right now, but she was trapped. Her father's call couldn't go unanswered, but to help her sister who didn't want anything to do with her. What a dilemna.

Hearing Sevati's words make Ravi shake his head slowly. As her lime eyes bore into his golden ones, all he could do was sigh before they made they're way closer to her father and sister. Having conflicts with family members is not always good, he should know. There's a good wedge between him and his mother right now.

As he came closer to the two, he gave them a small smile as a greeting before sitting down. His legs were aching, and it embarassed him to look so awful in front of a newcomer, even if she was related to Sevati.

Walking on the other side of Ravi, she peeked at her father and gave him a smile. "Hi Dad." An eye flicked at her sister, taking in the state she was in before shaking her head gently to her father. "Dad, you're more knowledgeable than I am. I don't think I can be of any assistance to you."

“Sevi please…”

*Akamu begged softly and moved aside. Within his green eyes tears seemed to swell. Something was not right here and Akamu couldn’t help; as much as he wanted to he couldn’t help Ausi feel better. She needed a female to talk to, and seeing how his mate was gone now, this was all that could be done. With a soft smile he shifted himself away from Sevi and walked over to the red male that had been keeping her company.

He gazed over the boy and smirked. He was Firekin, that was a good thing but Akamu still felt uneasy about having him around. With a deep sigh he looked away and thought to himself. He longed for things to get better between the two. He really felt awful having two of his own hate each other so. They are sisters by blood; so why did dislike one another so?*

*Ausi’s tears only seemed to thicken as her sister came into play. How on earth was she going to do this now, why was she even hear? Sevi hated her! Why did things have to be this way. Turning her back to her sister Ausi held herself tightly into a small ball, periodically sniffing and quivering.*

Feeling slightly uncomfortable with all the tension in the air, Ravi looked at Akamu as he moved closer. He still wasn't all too comfortable about Sevati's father, though he was still in awe. Silently taking in the male, it was amazing that this was a Firekin! All his life he's never seen a Firekin but heard such awful tales about them. How could it be that Akamu was so caring and nice? Unlike the stories he heard about them being cold and vicious? Golden eyes shifted to his paws as he came to a realization that Sevati was half-Firekin...like him. Although he felt ashamed to even think about being Firekin, it was a part of him that he had no control over and would just have to accept it.

Though, the tension that was flowing between the two siblings was mind-bending. How could Sevati be so sweet and caring though so bitter towards her sister? There must be a reason and he didn't know about it. Eyes shifted towards Sevati as he decided to speak, "Sevati, you shouldn't be acting like this towards your own sister. Consider yourself lucky that you have blood out there that you can call your own, don't take it for granted."

Her father's plea tugged on her heart slightly, though sneaking a glance at her sister made her blink. Was she acting just to get back at her or was she really in a bad situation? Sevati wasn't too sure at the moment. One part of her wanted to reach out to her other half and try to comfort her while another was telling her that she should just let her sister make her own life without her.

At Ravi's words, Sevati whipped her head towards him with wide green eyes. "How can you say such a thing? I haven't taken anything for granted!" Ears flatten against her head as her eyes narrowed at the male. Her emotions were in a turmoil, this was not something she was not expecting. She was hoping to run into her sister later on in life, not now, not so soon after watching her life flash before her eyes. She was still vulnerable and didn't like that at all. A big wound had just opened itself up, but it needed to heal. "You don't know anything Ravi! What could be worse than my sister throwing our friendship in my face for someone else?! Just because you might be alone in the world doesn't mean I'm not!" She was just getting fired up and the poor male was getting the brute blunt of her sword.

Turning towards her sister, her eyes soften slightly but the wound was still there. Her sister looked pathetic, though her curious nature made her want to know what happened. But, she didn't know what to say. She had all these harsh things thrown at Ravi, but her sister...her sister was still her sister, whether she'd admit it to herself or not. It was hard to let go of the past, of the careless actions done by juveniles. Eyes welled up slightly as she silently whispered, "Ausi..."

Lime green eyes shifted towards her father, "How can I possibly help Ausi when she threw our friendship away like it was nothing to her? It hurt me and what could be worse than that? I wanted my older sister to play with me, to be there with me..." She cried out in anguish, letting everything out. "What can I possibly do to help? I know nothing! I couldn't even help Ravi or myself when that female attacked us." Unknown feelings washed over the female, she was being childish but she has yet to learn how to grow up. She hadn't been in any kind of situation where she needed to be mature about things and now was the time where reality would hit her full hard in the face. "I want a sister."

“Sev—“

*Before Akamu could reply to his daughter’s cry Ausi turned herself and spoke out.*

“I am sorry.”

*She mewed softly with sorrow. She was young when she had spoken such harsh words to Sevati, and at the time she truly didn’t know what she was doing, or saying. Today--now she was older and had learned to live life and had become aware of her actions and what she had caused between her family. She loved her family, she did, but growing up she had been very distant from them, due to the whole living situation they all had to endure. She had lost her pride, her mother and one of her sisters; she didn’t want to lose her father and Sevati too.

Moving herself closer to her sister she spoke again.*

“Stop it; you can not bring back the dead, you can not fix all wrong. Father isn’t asking you to turn the sky… he is asking you to just help me. And as much as I don’t want help from any of you, I need it. I need you.”

*She spoke with a soft quiver.*

“I’m in too deep.”

*As Ausi and Sevati started to converse the large male moved himself beside Ravi and softly spoke.*

“Don’t worry, she didn’t mean to be that way. Life right now, for the both of them has been rough. Just don’t try to help what you can not understand, not yet.”

A bit taken back by the harsh words spoken by Sevati, Ravi could only feel hurt spread inside of him. Here was a young female thinking she knew more about the world than she did?! Before he could say anything back that was on his mind, her sister spoke out first. His tongue bit back the words he so heartly wanted to throw back in Sevati's face, but what good would it do? She was still young and needed to grow up, experience things to learn what life is really like. Sighing softly, his ears drooped slightly before shifting away from the females and towards Akamu. "I hope so..." He trailed off softly before continuing, "This isn't the first time I've tried to help, but get shot down." He gave a weak smile.

Her sister's apology hit her in surprise, Sevati had not expected such a gesture to come so soon. Things were happening so quickly, she didn't know what to do or what to think anymore. Her lime green eyes shifted away from Ravi, guilty about lashing out at him when he was only trying to help. Some friend she was, what awful things must he be thinking of her now? she wondered silently.

As her sister moved close to her, part of her wanted to recoil away. Her darker half. While her other half wanted to embrace her sister who she's missed dearly. They were like twins of opposites colors, each had different personalities but they cared for each other likes all families should. Torn between what to do, all she could do was stare at her sister, frozen in place. Ausi's words confused her. She didn't know whether to trust what her sister was saying, but Ausi seemed in a genuine disaray. Ears flicked back as she was confused. Why were things so confusing now? Couldn't think be simple and easy? All of this made her angry, angry that she didn't know what to do or what to think or how to act.

"I should be able to fix all wrong!" The scars across her face burned with shame as she mumbled, "I can't help anyone. Your words confuse me, I don't understand."

“I lost them, Sevi, I lost my best friend, my lover; I lost my child, my firstborn.”

*Tears seemed to swell within her eyes as she jerked herself forward and held her face to her sister’s neck. At the time her scars didn’t seem to cross her mindset, right now she was just far too upset to even think of anything but the painful words she knew she would have to speak.*

“Fedha’s gone, mother’s song, Mati is gone; I need to have you back in my life, Sevi, I need you again. I never meant to hurt you, I didn’t mean to act so selfish. I didn’t think, I was so young…”

*She gasped and turned her eyes inward and with a soft mew added.*

“I lost it all! I can not lose you too! Not again...”

*Akamu’s green eyes narrowed as he listened to the words of his offspring. Such sad stories made him feel like he had let them down all along. He couldn’t protect them from the world, not anymore. Life was a bloodsucker and they were just starting to get the in-depth, first in line reality check. Turning himself he shifted his gaze and spoke to Ravi.*

“Come with me, son. Let’s let them talk alone.”

As her sister approached, Sevati flinched slightly as her sister touched her neck. It was still very sore and tender from the fight, especially the top of her neck. Though, her sister's word shocked her. How could so much had happened while she has been away?! Taking a step back, she took a good look at her sister. No. That didn't look like Ausi...that looked like some strange lioness claiming to be her sister, how could her sister do such things, done so much while she's done nothing?

Her tongue was tied, there was just too much to take in, she was getting overwhelmed. "Love...cub...gone..." She was mumbling the words together, trying to make sense of it. Her sister loved someone? Her sister had a cub? What the heck was the world throwing at her this time! Stuttering, "I...I don't know what to say...I..I don't know anything like those kinds of things..." Her tail flicked as her eyes sadden slightly before turning her gaze from her sister to the ground. There was so much happening around her, it was like time was still for her but not for everyone else. She'd never experienced anything extraordinary that could give her wealth of knowledge in a situation like this. What was she supposed to say? What was she supposed to think? She'd never even broached the subject of love or families with anyone or had any thoughts crossed her mind of such nature...but her sister?

Were they really so different that she didn't even recognized her sister that was standing in front of her. It made her feel hurt, she wanted to have fun and have lots of friends to be with but she didn't get any chance to do such things. The only thing she was lucky about was Ravi...Ravi. Oh, thinking about him made her feel even guiltier. What horrid things she said to him.

Though, she could not undo what she had done. Ears were flat against her head as her eyes were towards the ground, staring at her crimson paws. They were the color of blood, the color of which her whole pelt was after she had met Ravi. It would never leave her, she could never wash off the blood from her paws. A constant reminder...but her sister. Her best friend back in the day, was lost to her. She could never be as close to her sister as she used to be, there would always be things that made them different. Things that made them stand apart. The apology was taken and heeded, though with much deliberation. A part of Sevati wanted to just leave and not have to deal with anymore of the hardships life was throwing at her, while the other half had the illusion that things would go back to the way they were. "I had missed you...Ausi."

One ear was half listening to the conversation between sisters, but Ravi didn't want to seem nosy so he turned his attention away from the two. His golden eyes shifted towards Akamu before nodding his head. Slowly getting up and without a wince, he followed the older male away from the sisters. "I guess it's best left to them to decide what to do next. Nothing we can do or say will help them."
