Obie set her bag down on the floor of the tiny cabin and looked around. With things having been sorted about her scholarships between Naomi and Jess a -huge- weight had been lifted from her shoulders. She hadn't told Ra quite yet and was going to save the good news for later.
She had been doing a lot of thinking since he had returned from Iran and she felt so bad about what she had done to him. He was -always- there for her no matter, and she had selfishly abandoned him in his time of need. So it was her turn to do some thing nice for him, to show him how special he was to her. Scouting around, she had managed to find some log cabins not too far away that were reasonably priced since it was the off season and they had a -gorgeous- view. Up in the mountains, their cabin was set on a high ledge (something she wasn't particularly thrilled about) that overlooked the ocean and the valley below. The cabin was nice. Tiny, but nice. Much better than a tent would be, that was for sure, she thought with a smile as she looked around the quaint one room building. Turning to face him with a bag of groceries in her arm, she smiled brightly.
"Well? What do you think love?" she asked, watching him for his reaction.

Ra looked around the cabin and dumped his bag down on the floor.
"Brilliant." he said with a grin as he walked around a bit and explored in a couple of cupboards. "I love it up here, it's so beautiful and away from everything." he smirked as he pulled his wooly hat off and tossed it onto the sofa that he assumed must become a bed as there was not one in sight.
"Shall I see if I can get the fire going?" he asked as he watched her taking stuff over to the small kitchenette.

"Please," she smiled happily. She was really quite proud of herself for having come up with this and she was relieved that he loved it as much as she did. Quickly putting away the groceries, she unwrapped her scarf from around her neck and pulled her beanie off her head.
"This is going to be so nice. Just you and me and -nothing- to do but be with each other," she smiled happily as she tossed her coat and other winter things over a chair then walked over to run her fingers along his shoulders. "Were you surprised?" she asked with a bright smile.

"Yes." Ra said, looking up at her with a broad smile as he tried to sort the coals out and light the fire. After a few attempts the flame caught and the coals sprung to life.
"very suprised." He said with a smile, turning to wrap his arms around her and squeeze her tightly for a moment. "I thought you would need to study this weekend."

Obie grinned broadly as she slipped her arms around his neck and wrapped his long hair around her fingers.
"You would think that, right?" she smiled and winked up at him. "I do need to study. I mean... I don't want my average to fall," she smirked a little and gave him a little squeeze.

Ra laughed, reaching down to pick her up so that he could carry her across to the sofa and take a seat with her on his lap.
"Well, not that I'm complaining about getting to spend a lonely weekend with you, but I really don't want you to be deported." he said running his fingers up into her hair.

Obie gave a little squeak of surprise when he bent down to pick her up and wrapped her arms tighter around his neck, laughing as he carried her to the couch. Smirking at his words, she shifted to straddle his lap and leaned down to kiss him deeply.
"Then I have some good news for you," she smiled when she broke the kiss. "When I was down in Osaka, Jess managed to get me to talk and I found out that the Gennai's give a scholarship that's not based on grades. It covers almost all of my tuition. And Jess and Hiro have offered to give me a loan to cover the rest. So... I guess I'll be sticking around a little longer," she smirked and arched her brow as she looked into his gorgeous grey eyes.

Ra listened to her and raised an eyebrow.
"That's brilliant." He said with a wide grin, "really brilliant, you get to stay and ease up a bit." Leaning in he kissed her deeply again, looking up only when a gust of icy wind blew through their hideout and extinguished his fire.
"heh, I wonder if there's any wood outside, we're going to freeze otherwise."

"Not if I can help it," she teased with a smirk and wink. Giving him a quick kiss, she slid off his lap and looked out of the small window. "I think I see some... over towards the cliff," she smirked at the fluttering of her heart. Turning back she walked over to her coat and things. "I'll help you bring some in," she smiled at him as she slipped her coat on and wrapped her scarf around her neck.

"Cool." Ra said, standing up and grabbing his hat again. it was freezing outside and the sky appeared to be threatening snow. Shoving his hands in his pockets he made his way over to the cliff to start gathering enought wood to keep them going all night.
"Wow, B. Come and look at the view, it's amazing." He said as he took a tentative step closer to get a better look.

Obie made sure to stay on the side of the woodpile that was furthest from the edge. Picking up a couple of pieces of wood, she looked up when Ra called out to her and felt her heart jump up into her throat as he stepped closer to the edge.
"We should get this into the cabin before it starts snowing. It won't do us much good wet," she said, keeping her eyes down on the woodpile as she continued to load up her arms.

Ra looked out over the breathtaking view for a few more moments before turning back to face her with a smile.
"Are you scared of heights B?" He asked with a smile as he loaded up with wood and carried them over towards her. "You really should try and give it a look, it is so, so beautiful."

Obie looked up and hugged the logs to her chest as she looked up at him with a slightly sheepish smile.
"Maybe a little. But it is true. We should get this inside before it gets damp," she said, glancing towards the edge then back at him with a smile. "Maybe after we set all this down?" she asked.

Ra smiled and carried the logs he had into the cabin and dumped them down by the fire.
"If you come as close as you can with me I'll cook dinner." he said with a raise of his eyebrow. "I really think it something not to be missed. And I will hold your hand." Grinning he held his hand out to her. "Please?"

"I think you just like watching me face my demons," she smirked after setting her logs next to his. Dusting her hands on her jeans, she looked up at him for a moment, then slipped her hand into his. "But how can I refuse a free meal?" she smiled and squeezed his hand gently.
