A long, long time ago in a distant forum, I, Druki, Lord of Awesome, percieved an unspeakable Awesome in a thread.
And it was karaoke.
H'okay, so, I know how quite a few people of this guild have mics, chat over Skype, and so on and so forth. And earlier in my Gaian career, one of my friends held a karaoke contest (which failed, sadly, due to a lack of particpants).
And, upon me thinking about both and putting two and two together to get 22, thought that maybe it could be done here.
Now, keep in mind, if only ten people can and would be willing to do it, I'm not going to ask said friends (or, more than likely, steal from them) how they set up the contest, what was taken into consideration, et cetera. If we get a good amount of people so that it actually becomes a challenge, like 30 or more, then yeah, I'll be willing to take the time and set it up.
Please answer the poll honestly and share your thoughts here. The various answers are for data I may use in the future. Thanks.
Oh, and bonus points to the people that can PM me what inspired my first line.

To answer some questions:
I don't know when, if I choose to, get it set up. Likely it would not be set up and planned for at least a week, as to let people come in, discuss the possibility, say Yay or Nay, tally votes, and other such preparations.
I'll switch how songs are chosen and how the contests for each are run. For instance, if I chose "She Bangs" by Ricky Martin, I might make it who can sing the worse. Or, if there's a poll or I choose a song someone suggests, I'll make it best singer. It will be a one-song-per-contest rule, though, so if I have a one-week contest with a specific song, entrants must sing that song. Edit: Unless otherwise stated. Edit edit: There'll be multiple contests.
I may do other languages. Those tend to be quite humorous. ninja
We can call it Sniper Idol, if people so wish it. Judges will likely be predetermined people who do not have microphones, as to give them a chance to participate.
