O.k here's my beef (of what ever) I'm writing a script for a tv show that maybe one day will be discovered and turned into a tv show just like supernatural and gilmore girls and what not, and I was hoping perhaps I could send out a couple copies of the opening scene to some of you and see what you think.
The show is about a struggling band called Gamble With the Underdogs and it's composed of five young adults who are pretty much fresh out of high school.
Todd and Ryan Lamesdon: The Lamesdon brothers are the ones who started the band, Ryan being 2 years older then Todd their parents died in a car accident when both boys were teenagers (Todd: 16 - Ryan: 1 cool .
Todd plays the electric guitar and is the leading vocals and Ryan plays the base and provides back up vocals.
Ben McCarthy and Kevin Thief: These two were the first to audition for the band and both got their parts because according to Todd (Todd: You play like effing gods..) they first met at the second audition for the band and after getting the parts seemingly came out of the closet at the same time and are now in a healthy (gay) relastionship. Ben is the drummer and Kevin is always brought in during a show to perform an accoustic solo.
Then finally there's Cynthia Jones: She joined the band as it turned out she was the only key board player who bothered to arrive at the auditions. She gives a unique contribution to the band and always seems to be the one to bring the food to the rehearsals. Ryan as a joke calls her band wife (a lovable nick name everyone caught onto.)
So yeah that's the band, I've put alot of thought into it and I'm looking to know if this is a good idea. Please respond.
I'm almost desperate. ^^

Well, the core characters sound decent from what you gave, though be sure to flesh out personalities if you haven't already. I guess I'm unsure as to what the premise of the show is: following their lives? Following the career of the band?
I love to read things! But, I'm honest. Especially since I don't really know you. So, at your own risk.

The whole pre/post high school students forming/doing a band has been done. As of now, you do you have my interest. You need a story. Who is this show specifically gonna follow? Are there gonna be real life issues involved? Is someone gonna see the wrong thing at the wrong time? Otherwise, your characters will fall flat. Let me know what your brainstorming comes up with, though. I really would like to help, being a creative mind myself. wink
