I was recently asked by a friend of mine what an ideal date would be for me, i answered that I love just playing a good game with my man for hours, maybe eat some chinese or pizza maybe watch a movie and or mess around a little then sleep or something. She started flipping out! she said thats extremly unhealthy and we have a horrible relationship because we dont go on REAL dates. is my idea of a nice date really so weird? does anyone else enjoy a good video game date?

I love your idea of a date. surprised Who says you have to do what other people call "real dates". Not everyone's into the same thing.

What is considered a real date? Going out to a restaurant you can't pay for, eating food that you end up wishing you hadn't ordered, staring idly at each other for hours, awkward conversations about things that you don't care about? At least during a gaming date, you can interact, have fun, hold up a conversation, and be completely relaxed. To me, this sounds like a much healthier alternative.

ninja Sometimes I'll challenge my hubby to race me one-on-one in Mario Kart. If I win, he loses some clothes and vice versa. It's a great 'date' and always ends well. heart blaugh

I have to tell you, I would rather literaly have fun then feal pressured into haveing a "moment". Cheeper than a movie, or food both of wich I can't afford. Not to mention more relaxing! Isn't that what a Date is supposed to be? Fun and relaxing? I'll take a game date over dinner and a movie any day!

Playing video games as a date is only "okay" if you're actually playing with them in real life (like sitting near them) - Just my opinion
I am sort of a "gangster" "jock" and "nerd" put all into one young man. So I would find out what the person I am dating likes, if she likes games we could go do something fun at a game place (like dave n busters or whatever) or if shes into parties we could go to a party n have a great time with alot of people... If she likes sports... well you guessed it, she could come to one of my games and watch or we could both go see something...
Dating is really complex if you make it, the key is to just findout what interests you've got in common with your "lover." and dont be afraid to ask them what theyd like to do with you. You dont always have to be in controll of the situations when dating.
I am no king or god of dating experiences or anything, im only 17. Just be safe with whatever you do, and dont do anything you'll regret later.
