She found that after meeting Mocha and Bliss, although she felt better, she still couldn't help but continue returning to her thoughts of Artemis Entreri; she had mixed feelings about him, really. She hated him, she liked him, she... didn't really care about him. Yes, mixed feelings. But she didn't love him like she thought she had. No. She now knew the difference; looking at Hania and Aruna, who were prime examples of "love"... well, all she had was a crush.

Sighing, she laid down to catch a bit of sleep. It had taken all her strength to come down from her snowy, mountain old visit home, and seeing Mocha just as soon as she returned was energy consuming since the other Wind mare retained some of her slight hyperness from her filly days. Shimshek closed her moonstone eyes as her thoughts randomly bounced back and forth, although most of them circled around the one stallion of which she had no idea why she continued to think of.

A golden burst of sunlight galloped through the forest. This new land was so huge! Taiyaung had aready seen the fields and the beach, and now he was in the forest, but his destination in mind was the mountains; the grand and towering mountains. They were so different from the desert he spent his foalhood in! Tai was greatly intruiged by how it would feel to be so high up, and on something so sturdy. Would it be like flying, except you were standing on the solidest rock you could find? Oh yes, the mountains captured Tai's complete interest, and he wasn't going to delay a trip to see them first hand.

In his excitement, Tai failed to realize that there was a Soquili ahead of him, dozing in a clearing. When he finally saw the sleeping mare, it was nearly too late. He skidded to a stop, toppleing over in a heap. Tai stumbled to his feet in a daze. Shaking his head to clear his blurry vision, he turned his head to the mare. Did he wake her?

Hearing the sounds of excitable hooves, Shimshek figured they were Mocha's, failing to realize that the hoof steps were heavier in beat, and then when they nearly stumbled over her, she opened her eyes. Luckily, she hadn't quite dozed off, and blinked upon seeing possibly the most golden colored, quite bright sun painted stallion in her life... and he was a unicorn, at that. She hadn't met very many unicorns... come to think of it, wasn't he the first unicorn she'd ever laid eyes on?

...Possibly! Too surprised, all she could do was stare. Silver eyes were glittering with curiosity, rather than anger over being tripped. Standing, she tilted her head with a soft smile at the stallion, and then retreated a few paces away from him. Because this was her first time meeting a unicorn, let alone a male, she was going to make sure the meeting lasted well; besides, she'd heard rumors that unicorns were great, kind beasts (Aruna was mated to one, after all... she wondered how Aruna was doing?) and well, it was better to be nice rather than angry... she hoped.

"...Well, hello," she said quietly, eyeing him and down. "...You've got to be new around here to have stumbled into this particular area. It's hard to find, but one of the easiest paths to the mountainous range behind me."

Pale, golden eyes widened in surprise. This wind mare was making conversation, as if nothing happened! Dumbfounded, all he could do was stare in shock. ....How could she be so calm? He had nearly run ower her! "Uh, hello, um yes, I'm new uh.....are you okay?" Tai could've easily strangled himself. Why was he acting like such a blubbering fool?!?

Tai held himself higher, and cleared his throat. "Um, I mean, hello to you too! I'm really sorry about that, I hope I didn't interupt your nap. Are you okay? Yes I'm new... Hi, I'm Taiyaung." Again, he was acting like an idiot! What was wrong with him today?

Shimmering hooves stomped nervously in place as Tai continued to stare at the white and gold mare. She had beautiful feathery wings, like Myoa, but, something was different about her. This mare seemed to have a cloud of innocence shrouding around her, something, soft and peaceful. Tai couldn't exactly put it into words, but this mare was...different.

She watched him with focused interest as he babbled along, going from one thought to the other in the middle of sentences as he tried to get all of his words out at the same time. She flicked her tail, quite amused that he was so surprised. "You're very clumsy for a unicorn, not that I've ever met one before. It's a pleasure to meet you, Taiyaung," she smiled at him, tilting her head cutely as she observed him. Finally, she consented, deciding to trust this silly stallion. "I'm called Shimshek," she inserted before the question could fly out of his muzzle.

He shimmered bright gold, like the sun, as he pranced back and forth--dare she say it, nervously?--which really caught her eye. Wings rustling, she stayed where she was. She really didn't know what to say about this particular stallion, only that he seemed like a newborn; literally. She could tell he was thinking something that wasn't along the lines of perverted or murderer, at any rate. She had to hide a laugh at that particular train of thought.

Tai flicked an ear in relief, starting to regain composure. "Well, it's a relief that you're okay, and again I'm so sorry." He chuckled good-naturedly at the clumsy comment. "That's probably true, I ran over an interesting alicorn just last night. He was a strange fellow, wearing the weirdest cape over his wings- Oh, forgive me, m'lady Shimshek, I'm just blabbering, aren't I?"

Shimshek's ears flicked hearing Taiyaung's description of a certain alicorn he'd met earlier on. A cape? "Did... did this alicorn happen to be named Artemis Entreri?" she whispered, not daring to truly breathe. She didn't even realize she was beginning to hyperventilate. She had gone through the torturous snowstorms on the mountains to forget about Entreri, and to suddenly have him mentioned again made it difficult for her to think clearly. "No, no, it's all right, Taiyaung, and please, you can just call me Shimshek or Shim."

Completely unaware of the wind's obvious unease at the stallion's name, Tai plunged forward. "Yes, that was his name! Quite a handful to pronouce, eh? He's quite a nice guy, although really hard to figure out." Tai shruged, before adding an afterthought, "No, it's not that he's hard to figure out, it's more of you don't know what to think of him."

The large unicorn nodded at the mare's request. "Alright Shim, but please, just call me Tai. As Myoa says it, it isn't worth the trouble saying Taiyaung when Tai suffices." He flashed a grin, and broke into a hearty chuckle.

Grateful for the change in topic, she replied, "You know Myoa? That mare seems to always know more and more Soquili," she muttered the last part to herself. "Tai it is, then," she consented, smiling slightly. She observed him again, from face to shoulders to... well, you know the rest. He was very handsome; broad, powerful shoulders, beautiful form, and nice looking bu--tail, and well, all around, he was very... what was the word, hot. Hiding a blush at her thoughts, moonstone eyes flickered at the male gently. "So, why are you out here again?" she asked, sounding amused.

Tai lifted up a hoof in surprise. "You know Myoa? She's my teepee-mate, like my older-step sister." He chuckled gentely. "I never knew that she was so popular, really, her friends must be endless." He inclined his head towards the sky, for once, speechless. He was deep in thought, remembering something Myoa had said when he first met her. "Friends are endless because you never know who they may be..." He whispered.

She cocked her head at him, wondering what he was mumbling about. "Yes, I know Myoa. She's my sister-kin with our birthstone similarities," Shimshek explained, wondering why this sweet stallion seemed kind of... clueless. It was cute, in its own way, but a bit... strange. Oh well. She shrugged a wing, and then smiled at him. "Popular? Oh, it's nothing to do with popularity, my dear friend, but with knowing people. In fact, I know of one such mare who knows so many that it would make your head spin wondering how she remembers all their name alone." Of course, the pearl mare was referring to Aruna, the one mare who made it her goal to know the most unique of Soquili around; Wind, Unicorn, Kalona--you name it, she knew them... if not, well, then she'd make her way around to knowing them. Aruna avoid Flutter Soquili, however, saying that they tended to drive her crazy but never explaining why. Shimshek shrugged. Ah well.

Tai cocked his own head, "Popularity? I simply meant that many people knew who she was." He shrugged, continuing, "Sister-kin? That's an interesting choice of words. Couldn't you just say cousins? Ahh, not that anything's wrong with sister-kin...."

He shrugged again at the mention of another well-known mare. He was still new to the Soquili lands, so he didn't know too many others. However, Tai was sure that Myoa knew the mare of subject, perhaps he could ask her. He twitched his tail, wondering. Truthfully, he wasn't that curious, and he didn't want to go meddling....

"Sister-kin is the only way I can describe it," she explained. "I don't think we could be cousins, per say, but I suppose that is also a good description." She blinked, wondering if this stallion would want a tour. "Did you want to see my home? The mountains? I could take you there on a tour," she offered, thinking it was time she was more polite. "Well, Sir Taiyaung?" she prompted, trying not to eye him in a manner that would scream "I want to jump you". She sighed to herself. She was arrogant, a b***h, and sometimes she wondered if half the time why she was the way she was. Maybe it was better to just watch Aruna and see how she managed to get so many friends... per say.

Tai flashed a smile of eager joy. "Thank you, M'lady Shim, how kind of you to offer. I was heading there anyways, so a tour would be very nice." He was finally starting to relax. Tai didn't know what had gotten into him eariler, he guessed that running into a pretty mare simply flustered him to look like a fool. The sunlit stallion flicked an ear, determined to make it up to Shimshek.

The smile he suddenly had made her force herself to turn around and distract herself. "There's a faded pathway around here that should be easier for you to travel by... and since I'm not flying and giving a tour, it'd be easier on both of us." She swallowed hard as she finally found the fade dirt path, and called over to Taiyaung. "Tai, it's over here. I found it."
