Chaser walked about the cold snow crunching beneath her pink hooves. She had been walking around for sometime...she had just been with Daray in the uncharted pieces of the land which weren't scary in the slightest her eyes fell upon a bird brushing the snow off his wings which reminded her off her three friends which had wings Lunaris,Zaribe, and Shihab...she hadn't seen Lunaris in quite some time.
Chaser watched as the bird spreaded it's wings and flew off into the sky. It was a robin simple as that, Chaser when she was younger loved to just watch birds fly about the sky nothing else mattered but then kids made fun of her for knowing so much that she stopped looking at the sky...but know she was older and still did it.Still some taunted her.
Chaser flicked her redish purle mane to get the annoying hair out of her face she felt very tired from walking she soon stopped to take a break. She found herself by a river as she took a sip of water listining to the sounds around her as she watched the water flow through it's stream. Her crystal blue eyes scanned the horizon for a sight of something other then a bird...maybe an indian...maybe a friend...or maybe some one new to meet.

There was so much snow, he didn't understand it. How could anything live in these freezing temperatures? A snow bank shifted as Xantir stood up to get out of his winter shelter. He shuddered at the sudden chill, it had actually been warmer buried in the snow. As he studied the area he found him self in he saw the peaks of mountains in the distance.
If what Amoena told him was true there was a desert on the other side of those over grown rocks. It would be warm there but did he really want to go? "Perhaps just until the winter passes..." He said to him self before stretching and heading off to get a drink and find some break fast. As he came to the top of the hill, however, he froze. There was another at his usual stream, a mare from the looks of it.
"Not again..." He mumbled climbing down the hill. He was thirsty and if getting a drink meant interacting with another he would just have to deal with it.

Chaser continued her drink of water until the sounds of hooves reached her ears they perked up s it came closer. She stopped her drinkin as to look up at a...stallion. She gave a sigh yet ANOTHER stallion! What did they follow her or something? Why couldn't a mare be with him!She gave a sigh as she wacthed him come closer
Her ears went back a bit but she made sure he couldn't tell...Chaser was fed up with all the stallions who oogled over mares she looked back at the river as her crystal blue eyes scanned it. Just her reflection she bent down and took some grass slightly ignoring the stallion as she watched the sky once again"Just another stallion..."she turned back to examine him he was quite odd if you ask her.
The stallion had a black moon on his cheek and a paw print on his rump.He had spikes...on his legs which was also very odd.He reminded her of a tirger with the little slahes of black on his legs. His mane was two colors orange and black but the thing that was most odd to her was his eyes. They were like a neon green but they weren't she shook her head as she made sure both her flowers stayed in place as she gave a quick huff. She decide she would speak first even if she didn't want to "Hello..."

He quirked an eyebrow as he felt the female studying him. It was a bizzare feeling to say the least. "Hi..." He replied shortly before stopping at the stream. Bending his knees he dipped his mouth into the water and took a few deep drinks keeping his eyes trained on the mare. He didn't get what she was staring at, he know he was a bit odd but appart from the spikes he looked like a normal horse.
After he had taken his fill he stood and turned to leave but he could still feel her eyes burning into him. "Why are you staring?" He demanded turning around to face her meeting her eyes with narrowed electric green. "I haven't done anything to you...so leave me alone." He didn't quite know why his immidiate reaction was to push people alone but so far it had worked. He wasn't going to stop even if all that had offended were her eyes.

Chaser gave a quick shake of her head as she watched him"I apoligize it's just your eyes...there so well different and stunning"She spoke quietly she knew she had already upset the stallion for he already was acting fowl to her she gave a quick huff as she watched him.She turned her eyes towards the sky as she watched the birds"So yeah sorry but I am having a bad er day lets just say..I am sorry for starring"
This stallion was so quiet she wondered why she kept his gaze from him since it seemed to offend him her eyes stayed on the snow as she flicked some off of her tail as it landed on her back. She grumbled as she shook it off as she watched the sky and the clouds she already felt bad about making him so upset but that WAS a bit of a childish response

"My eyes?" He asked furrowing his brow. He had been so sure she was staring at the horrible spikes and now it turned out he was wrong. Taking a step forward he looked into the water and stared into his own eyes. Lightning green like some form of poison, how could something showing death make one want to see more of it. Lifting his head back up he stared at her with a bit of a smirk. "You're different..." He said stepping back thinking it may be worth talking to her for a bit.
"But I like that..." He nodded once then looked her over. She looked fairly normal. A clasic brown with darker spots, the only thing that really bothered him were the flowers. He tried to tell him self that mares were different and liked the plants but he couldn't understand how his occasional snack would be a decoration.

Chaser smiled at least he wasn't mad anymore that would have been bad"yes your eyes they are quite the interesting color"she gave a small smile as she turned to look at herself alright she was differen't too she could seee what he was saying..but when the words I like that came out of his mouth she gave a faint smile..she had not yet learned his name. His spikes were so intriging though she did not stare
Her looked at his eyes and gave another faint smile"I am Rainbow Chaser er sorry for not telling you ealier..."She flicked her ear as she flipped her mane over to the other side she made sure her flower didn't fall out..it was the only thing left from her mother she watched him more as she waited for his response

"I didn't ask you your name..." He said simply settling into a more relaxed position rather then his normal proud stance. "You shouldn't apologize..." Females were strange, always apologizing for not giving out their names. A name wasn't important all that mattered was the personality. A name was only a label for people to call you by, nothing to say sorry for. All labels aside, he rather liked her name.
"So...Rainbow Chaser...is there some truth to your name because I haven't seen any rainbows here." Smirking he cocked his head to the side letting a few of his duel-colored braids fall into his face giving him a strange look. Some how he could just see her running down hills after something she'd never reach.

Chaser rolled her eyes as she gave a quick frown towards the stallion what an akwerd one he was she shuffled her feet to get some snow off of her hoove as she spoke" Alright fine don't tell me your name"she rolled her eyes again as she shook her mane to get snow off of it. Her legs were cold but she ignored it as she watched him with a cocked eyebrow she gave a slight huff.
Alright it was time to tell yet another story about her name...so many people had to know it was tiring even to think about but what the heck he DID ask her right "If you must knoww when I was younger I used to love to chase mice to me it was a game of speed and quickness...the rainbow came from when I watched the sky after it rained to see a rainbow" She flicked her tail as she looked at him
The way his braids were on his face made him look a bit odd she was glad she didn't have braids eventhough her indian tried so hard to get her to braid them. Chaser flicked her ear as she watched her two flowers lowera...for some reason this stallion made it easy to not e herself to live on the edge...wierd

"You never asked my name..." He said with a bit of a chuckle. She seemed to be getting a bit frustrated, something he never grew tired of watching. "But if you want to know, I'm Xantir." He gave her a short nod of the head as if bowing before turning his head so she wouldn't see him laughing at her story. Mice were not the quickest of creatures with their short legs and all. "Mice..."He said finally turning back with the same stoic face. "Why would you race mice? Wouldn't another horse do better?"
He was surprised with him self, he hadn't grown tired of speaking yet. Somehow she managed to hold his interest. Perhaps it was how she wasn't to much of anything. To kind was bothersome and made him want to beat him self but to cruel made him simply wish to leave or attack. She had some sort of balance that kept him talking but something about her still bothered him. It was those eyes, they still felt like they were studying him, judging him.

Chaser gave a shrug as she looked away"I guess I could have" She gave a sly smile as she looked at him he looked a bit well...skittish but she smiled"I mean I could have raced another horse but mice were so fun...so small"She looked at him was he concerned about something?
She then thought of the nane Xantir what an interesting name this soquili had more surprises then anyone she knew she flicked her tail looking away from him as she spoke a bit more clearer "So your name is Xantir? Is there a story behind your name? Or am I the only one who can tell a tale?" she gave a small giggle as she watched him for a few seconds
Truley this stallion was quite the interesting one I mean he had SPIKES! And he was orange he was so interesting to her it made her smile. She had met Daray who was born under an eclips and born into a family of normal colored soquili but he still didn't match up to Xantir...this was a very odd statement

It was now Xantir's turn to look down allowing his mane to hang over his eyes creating a dark cloud. There was a story behind his name though he did not wish to tell it. It was a sad story and an almost perfect stranger had no business knowing it. "Rainbow Chaser...my name means 'guardian' and that is all you need to know." As he raised his head he looked into her eyes with a look that clearly said 'don't ask'.
He felt a bit cruel snapping at her like that but it needed to get through to her that it was private. Maybe someday she'd know but that would be no time soon and until then the only one who would know would be his mother, his father and him self. "I'm sorry but there isn't much about me I like to talk about..." He said in attempt to keep the female from flipping on him in angry.

Chaser gave a sensitive smile she knew that not everybody likes to tell a story about there past...some were to scary to tell she watched him "Thats a great name Xantir I need not know more..."She gave another sensitive smile to him as she watched him again her eyes had softened but she did not want to lose her gaurd...but she couldn't help but hear the sadness in his vioce.
Her crystal blue eye scanned the horizon like they were looking for anyone but she wasn't...this soquili Xantir may look so different from others though really he was just like everybody else she finnaly spoke after the silence "Not everyon ehas a past they like to share" She gave a cough as she looked down her mane covering her eyes

He snorted softly. Sure the name seemed great but the reason behind it was cruel and twisted like the spikes that had been driven through his legs. Still he supposed is was the thought that counted at least in a place like this. "Does the quiet bother you?" He asked studying her carefully after a pause. She seemed as though she was mimicking him a bit the way her forelocks fell. It also seemed like something was bothering her but that was her business.
"It's not as bad as people think...comforting really..." He said turning his gaze sky ward. Perhaps the change in conversation would lighten the air possibly turn her into one of the mares he didn't like. "The silence...if you listen it can be like music or like someone is whispering your name gently on the wind..."

Chaser looked at him...yes the quiet could be comforting he was right...it just for to long it could get scary her eyes looked into his as she shook her head"Oh no it does not bother me...your are quite right...I like silence!" she shuffled her feet as she watched him she always hated to admit things she gave a small huff as she spoke "Lets just sa I am not used to it if you think about it..."
Chaser flipped her mane again as she watched him...they were standing in one spot for so long...maybe he wanted to mover she straightend her stance as she watched him with a sly smile "Well before I found you I was getting ready for another walk...would you like to join?" Her crystal blue eyes shinned more against the snow's rays from the sun...she didn't mind if he said no I mean she was an odd soquili to be with
