John Peel is dead, and a little bit of my soul with him crying
He died suddenly of a heart attack whilst on holiday in Peru. He leaves a widow, Sheila, and four grown up children.
The man who brought us The Undertones, The Smiths, Joy division, The Sex Pistols & countless other bands is gone, but not forgotten.
At some point this week go out to a club, and get the DJ to play his favourite song: Teenage Kicks by The Undertones.
And reflect on without this man, the club probably wouldn't exist.

The stage at Glasto to be named after him is the New Bands Stage.
Ironically the first band for next year has been confirmed.
The Undertones are playing the new bands stage xd

Hmm, watching Oldboy was like beating your head against a brick wall: Firstly just horrific & somewhat bloody Then the endorphins kick in & it's such a rush When you finish you wonder why the hell you put youself through it. Afterwards you want to know if it'll be fun to try it again. Hard viewing, but good cinema.

Szinriia Coolcool. I was thinking of seeing it since I like my Asian Extreme Cinema. ^^ Korean Cinema is big at the moment. *shrugs There is a festival tour doing the rounds too: KFF On TourOh and I got tickets for House Of Flying Daggers at the LFF whee Woot me!
