Okay, now I'm sure you've all heard of this little game, or have seen it at a major tournament. I know that the Facefull tent had some..

Paintcheck

- A full-color folding board figuring a paintball field.
- 51 finely sculpted plastic miniatures :
- 30 players designed in 3 different positions.
- 21 "Sup'Airball" obstacles.
- 1 prebunkering template.
- An illustrated rules book, with examples and playing tips.
- Colorfull cardstock counters.
- 2 Dice.
- A transparent shooting ruler.
- 2 cardboard summary tables.
- A "breakout" sheet pad.
- 30 "jersey number" stickers for the models

Now, contrary to the "Tiger Mission Paintball" thinger, this actually has some benefits.

I think it would be great to plan out strategies with your team, as well as practice on a rainy day, or before a game.. I mean, come on.. I don't really like board games.. but this one looks pretty damn cool. It's a good addition to any captain's equipment list.

So the verdict?

it seems intersting. even if you didnt play the game itself it would be a great way to visualize your strategies rather than on paper or pointing it out while you are in the deadbox.

but i think its about 50 bucks or so
and if you are like me thats alot of money for a board game

I thought it was $40.. but hey, that's what Christmas is for, right? xp

Also, it is MUCH better than paper and pen.

It looks intresting, and I'm into stratigy games like that. I've actually been wanting something like this for a long time but for those little green plastic army men.

Seen it used once for strategy. Its also easy to use to plan out "plays" and to re-evaluate after the game. As for actaully playing it, never seen it done although i have heard it does teach the the importance of things like covering and stuff. Probably good for going over strategy and post game analysis, great for newbs and pro's alike.

Just my 2 cents

It might be good for planning out strategies and such, but I've never seen it played, so can't vote on that. However, if you really want a 3D visualization, i remember seeing a team do pretty much the same thing with lego pieces as a rough board and using the little men as players. Just a thought.
