We have a book forum whee *jumps up and down like an idoit*
Anyways whats your favorite book and could you recommend any books. I NEED BOOKS TO READ AT HOME!!
My favorite has to be Twilight whee
Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Isabella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Isabella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife--between desire and danger.

GAAH! Our school's lit club is very, very divided on the subject of Twilight. After spending two meetings going back and forth with negative and positive reviews of it, we just decided nobody was going to change anybody's mind. We're all psychopaths. Friendly psychopaths, of course, but all the same...
I'd have to recommend anything by Anne McCaffrey (or her son Todd McCaffrey), Jack McDevitt, Robert Jordan, the Abhorsen trilogy by Garth Nix, The Lost Years of Merlin series by T.A. Barron, and the standard popular fantasy (i.e. Harry Potter, Eragon/Eldest, etc.).
Yes, the popular fantasy. Though I may despise pop music with a passion, the popular fantasy is popular for a reason. And not just 'cause the authors are pretty.
-pulls out an MP-44 and shoots Kelly Clarkson-
I spend entirely too much time playing Call of Duty...

I like Call of Duty 2 so far it's my favorite. They made the third one too...I don't know...noobish, too easy. Back to books. The Lost Years of Merlin had to be my favorite, or at least close to that. Very gripping and an interesting view of fantasy.
As for Twilight, I have to say that I have honestly never heard of it, or I forgot because it stunk. I'll look for it next time I'm at Borders or B&N.

I love the Inheritance Trilogy. I'm dying to get my hands on the next book!!! HP is an obvious choice. I'd have to say that other than those two series I'd say that my favorite book growing up was Island of the Blue Dolphins. I must have read it at least ten times. It was a reading assignment years ago, and I've loved it ever since. Its all about this girl who gets left behind after her people leave the island they've always lived on. She has to learn how to survive for herself. Its beautifully written and a wonderful story. I love it. I think I was about 12 when I first read it. The last time I read it I guess I was about 20. It translates through age groups.

I like figuring out the mysteries. I figured out most of em before Sherlock did... 3nodding Artemis is from a different time, so comparing the two isn't fair... besides Sherlock is a literary legend. Any other smart detective like character is based off of him. Well Butler is the first man to kick a troll's butt. He rocks! blaugh

Artemis is an interesting story and blend of fantasy and the real world, well as real as you can get with a troll kicking body-gaurd.

It wasn't too over the top, this made my brother happy because he hates overly fantasy books. Did you hear about the movie? This is the guy they plan on being butler, HE'S PERFECT!!! heart Jason Statham Screw Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom, and other actors... I choose him! (has found new obsession) Just kidding, but he's really awesome though ^^

He would be a good butler, although I would have imagined someone a little bigger.

He can buff up! And besides, Butler is supposed to be inconspicuous, being a big muscle man would make him something to look at when in a crowd. He supposed to be able to blend anywhere remember? ^^ whee
